Duas

Surah e Yaseen-The Heart of Quran Surah e Yaseen starts from para no.22 and most of it is in para no.23. It is known as the Makki Surah as it was revealed to Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW) in Makkah and consist of 83 verses; “Surely everything has a heart, and the heart of the Quran is Yaseen. I would love that it be in the heart of every person of my people.” (Tafsir-al- Sabuni Vol.2) Said by our beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAW). • Excellent Reward We can see the importance of memorizing it and also the excellent reward of it as; According to Prophet Muhammad (SAW); “Everything has a Heart. The Heart of the glorious Quran is the Surah e Yaseen. Whoever reads Surah e Yaseen, ALLAH records for them the reward equal to reading the whole Quran 10 times”. • For Forgiveness For the purpose of seeking forgiveness from sins, Yaseen is the best solution. As our dearest Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said on another occasion that; “Whoever recites surah e Yaseen at the night for seeking ALLAH’s approval, ALLAH would forgive Him” (Ibn Hibban, Darimi 3283-A) • All-rounder Surah e Yaseen is an all-rounder as it erases the troubles and helps in all life issues. Reciting the surah e Yaseen daily leads the reciter’s receive the countless blessings from ALLAH (SWT) and helps to deal easily with all the daily life issues. • Eases the Death pain We all know that our beloved Prophet (SAW) said; “Recite Yaseen on those who are dying”. It is considered that reciting the ‘Heart of Quran” near the person who’s leaving this world will ease the pain of death somehow and will make it easier for that person. • Fulfill the legitimate desires and needs Starting a day with Surah e Yaseen after Fajar prayer is considered to be very beneficial to get ALLAH’s support all the day and also helps to fulfill all the needs and legitimate desires. According to Ata bin Abi Riibaah, Prophet Muhammad PBUH once said; “Whoever reads Surah Yaseen at the beginning of the day, all his needs for that day would be fulfilled.”

About the virtues of this Surah al Mulk it is narrated that Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (P.B.U.H) said: “There is a Surah in the Quran that consists of thirty verses which intercede for a man until his sins are forgiven.” That means if a person keeps reciting this Surah on the Day of Judgment it will continue interceding until ALLAH (SWT) forgives all his sins. Let’s know the importance of this Surah Mulk from an incident also. One of the companions of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (P.B.U.H) once fixed his tent on a grave without having knowledge of this. When he came to know about the grave he recited this Surah al Mulk. Then he went to the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (P.B.U.H) and told about the incident and his recitation of Surah Mulk. Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (P.B.U.H) said: “It is the prevention from the punishment of the grave.” Recite Before you sleep: When you recite Surah Mulk before sleeping an angel comes to protect you because when a person is sleeping, he is unable to protect himself. We must learn the verses with meaning. The Holy Quran is a complete code of life and by understanding the message of Quran, we would be able to spend our lives according to the rules of Islam. Blessing of Reciting Surah Mulk: We can attain the number of blessings with the recitation of Surah Mulk. It has only thirty verses and takes a few minutes to recite. Every Surah of Holy Quran is revealed for a purpose. Think about the blessings and virtues associated with the recitation of these verses. On every word, there are blessings for us in this life and the life hereafter when every person will need the virtues.

Nade Ali Sagheer is the poetry that begins with “Nade ali-yan mazharal ajaa’ib”. According to Maibodi, one of the Diwan (also known as Dua’ ‘Ali) of Imam Ali’s (as) commentator of Ahlul Sunna, the Holy Prophet (PBUH) called on the day (of the battle) of Uhud as follows: Call Ali, who is Manifestor of wonders, Thou shall surely find him helper in your difficulties. All grief and Sorrows will disappear, By Thee by Thy granted Power & Authority of Wail, O! Ali, O Ali, O! Ali.

Islam, Aqeda, Amal- A complete Lifestyle

if If you are a Shia, or have friends or colleagues who belong to the Shia sect, you might have seen them or heard from them about performing Aamaal for Safar, Aamaal for Rajab, Amaal for Muharram, etc.

The 10th of Muharram (The day of Ashura)

In conclusion, it is required to suspend any worldly activity on this day and to devote oneself to weeping, mourning the martyrdom of Imam al-Husayn (a.s.), recalling his misfortunes, and ordering one’s family members to hold a consolation ceremony in the same way as one may hold for his dearest people. It is also required to abstain from eating and drinking up to the last hour of the day at which one may break the abstention with a drink of water at least, without intending ritual fasting, since to observe fasting on this day is discommended except in cases of obligatory fasting, such as vow fasting and the like. It is also required not to store up anything in the houses, not to laugh, not to entertain oneself, and not to play. It is recommended, on this day, to invoke Almighty Allah to lay curse on the slayers of Imam al-Husayn (a.s.) one thousand times by saying following statement:
اَللّـٰهُمَّ الْعَنْ قَتَلَةَ الْحُسَيْنِ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ

The First Night of Muharram

The month of Muharram is the month of sadness for the Ahl al-Bayt (a.s.) and their followers. In this respect, Imam al-Rida(a.s.) is reported to have said, “With the beginning of Muharram, my father (a.s.) would never smile at all. He would be dominated by depression for ten days. The tenth of this month would be the day of his misfortune, sadness, and weeping. He used to say that on this day Imam al-Husayn (a.s.) was slain.” Sayyid Ibn Tawus, in Iqbal al-A’mal, has mentioned that a number of prayers should be advisably offered at the night of 1st Muharram:
First Prayer:        A one hundred unit prayer with Surahs al-Faatehah and al-Tawheed.   Second Prayer:        A two unit prayer at the first of which Surahs al-Faatehah and al-An’am (No. 6) are recited and at the second unit Surahs al-Faatehah and Yasin (No. 36).   Third Prayer:        A two unit prayer at each of which Surah al-Faatehah is recited once and Surah al-Tawheed is repeated eleven times is offered.

A special prayer on Sundays in Dhu al-Qidah,

The Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) is reported as having mentioned a great reward for those who offer a special prayer on Sundays in Dhu’l-Qa’dah, adding that their repentance would be accepted, their sins forgiven, their rivals made pleased with them on the Resurrection Day, caused to die on true faith, given the true religion, granted expansion and light in the grave, the parents made pleased with them, their parents and offspring had their sins forgiven, provided with expansive sustenance, and granted lenience of the Angel of Death and easiness of their souls leaving their bodies.
The method of this prayer is that one should bathe oneself on Sunday, do the ritual ablution (wudu’), and offer a four-unit prayer in each unit of which Surah al-Faatehah is recited once, Surah al-Tawheed repeated three times, and Surahs al-Falaq and al-Nas recited once each. After that, the statement of imploring for forgiveness Should be Repeat 70 times. اَسْتَغْفِرُ اللّٰهَ وَاَتُوْبُ اِلَيْهِ.
