رَبَّنَا آمَنَّا فَاكْتُبْنَا مَعَ الشَّاهِدِينَ
Rabbana aamana faktubna ma' ash-shahideen
Our Lord! We believe; write us down among the witnesses.
Al-Muzammil is an Arabic word the meaning of which is “wrapped/covered “and one of the most beautiful names of our beloved Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW). Surah e Muzammil is located in the 29th Para of the Holy Quran and consists of 20 verses in total. This is a Makki Surah and contains 2 Rukus. Surah e Muzammil spreads light on the importance of night prayers by ALLAH almighty and also highlights the proper way of reciting the Quran i.e. Read the Quran Pak slowly. Moreover, it also explains the significance of charity as ALLAH (SWT) gives the command to the Muslims to give charity to the poor and needy people. A message of patience is also commanded by ALLAH (SWT) to Holy Prophet (SAW) to remain patient to nonbelievers. “The person who recites Surah e Muzammil properly will get a chance to meet our beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAW)” reported by Imam Jafar Al-Sadiq Benefits of Surah e Muzammil Safeguard Surah e Muzammil is such a beautiful surah and also act as a safeguard against the bad situation, as the person who recites this powerful surah on daily basis will surely never face any bad situation and condition in his/her life and if he/she is going through any kind of mental illness or issue will get mental peace by reciting Surah e Muzammil. Purity One of the most beautiful virtues of this Surah is, the person who recites surah e Muzammil after Isha or in tahajud, his/her heart will get filtered and will remain pure, and also he/she will die in a pure/refined state. Forgiveness Reciting Surah e Muzammil 100 times make your soul and heart pure from the sins and reciters seek forgiveness from evil sins and bad deeds by ALLAH (SWT). Legitimate Desires Reciting surah e Muzammil for something you want is very effective, ALLAH Pak shower special blessings upon the reciter, and his/her desire will get fulfilled. On the other hand, if you are facing unemployment! Recite Surah e Muzammil 3-6 times. You will get employed in your desirable place/position Insha ALLAH.
اَعُوْذُ بِاللّٰهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيْمِ
بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
يٰٓاَيُّهَا الْمُزَّمِّلُ ﴿۱﴾ قُمِ الَّيْلَ اِلَّا قَلِيْلًا ﴿۲﴾ نِّصْفَهٗٓ اَوِ انْقُصْ مِنْهُ قَلِيْلًا ﴿۳﴾ اَوْ زِدْ عَلَيْهِ وَرَتِّلِ الْقُرْاٰنَ تَرْتِيْلًا ﴿۴﴾ اِنَّا سَنُلْقِيْ عَلَيْكَ قَوْلًا ثَقِيْلًا ﴿۵﴾ اِنَّ نَاشِئَةَ الَّيْلِ هِيَ اَشَدُّ وَطْـاً وَّاَقْوَمُ قِيْلًا ﴿۶﴾ اِنَّ لَـكَ فِي النَّهَارِ سَبْحًا طَوِيْلًا ﴿۷﴾ وَاذْكُرِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ وَتَبَتَّلْ اِلَيْهِ تَبْتِيْلًا ﴿۸﴾ رَبُّ الْمَشْرِقِ وَالْمَغْرِبِ لَآ اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَ فَاتَّخِذْهُ وَكِيْلًا ﴿۹﴾ وَاصْبِرْ عَلٰي مَا يَقُوْلُوْنَ وَاهْجُرْهُمْ هَجْرًا جَمِيْلًا ﴿۱۰﴾ وَذَرْنِیْ وَالْمُكَذِّبِيْنَ اُولِی النَّعْمَةِ وَمَهِّلْهُمْ قَلِيْلًا ﴿۱۱﴾ اِنَّ لَدَيْنَآ اَنْـكَالًا وَّجَحِيْمًا ﴿۱۲﴾ وَّطَعَامًا ذَا غُصَّةٍ وَّعَذَابًا اَلِيْمًا ﴿۱۳﴾ يَوْمَ تَرْجُفُ الْاَرْضُ وَالْجِبَالُ وَكَانَتِ الْجِبَالُ كَثِيْبًا مَّهِيْلًا ﴿۱۴﴾ اِنَّآ اَرْسَلْنَآ اِلَيْكُمْ رَسُوْلًا شَاهِدًا عَلَيْكُمْ كَمَآ اَرْسَلْنَآ اِلٰی فِرْعَوْنَ رَسُوْلًا ﴿۱۵﴾ فَعَصٰی فِرْعَوْنُ الرَّسُوْلَ فَاَخَذْنٰهُ اَخْذًا وَّبِيْلًا ﴿۱۶﴾ فَكَيْفَ تَتَّقُوْنَ اِنْ كَفَرْتُمْ يَوْمًا يَّجْعَلُ الْوِلْدَانَ شِيْبَا ۨ ﴿۱۷﴾ فَكَيْفَ تَتَّقُوْنَ اِنْ كَفَرْتُمْ يَوْمًا يَّجْعَلُ الْوِلْدَانَ شِيْبَا ۨ ﴿۱۷﴾ السَّمَآءُ مُنْفَطِرٌ ۢ بِهٖ كَانَ وَعْدُهٗ مَفْعُوْلًا ﴿۱۸﴾ اِنَّ هٰذِهٖ تَذْكِرَةٌ ۚ فَمَنْ شَآءَ اتَّخَذَ اِلٰی رَبِّهٖ سَبِيْلًا ﴿۱۹﴾ اِنَّ رَبَّكَ يَعْلَمُ اَنَّكَ تَقُوْمُ اَدْنٰی مِنْ ثُلُثَیِ الَّيْلِ وَ نِصْفَهٗ وَثُلُثَهٗ وَطَآئِفَةٌ مِّنَ الَّذِيْنَ مَعَكَ وَاللّٰهُ يُقَدِّرُ الَّيْلَ وَالنَّهَارَ عَلِمَ اَنْ لَّنْ تُحْصُوْهُ فَتَابَ عَلَيْكُمْ فَاقْرَءُوْا مَا تَيَسَّرَ مِنَ الْقُرْاٰنِ عَلِمَ اَنْ سَيَكُوْنُ مِنْكُمْ مَّرْضٰی لا وَاٰخَرُوْنَ يَضْرِبُوْنَ فِی الْاَرْضِ يَبْتَغُوْنَ مِنْ فَضْلِ اللّٰه ِۙ وَاٰخَرُوْنَ يُقَاتِلُوْنَ فِيْ سَبِيْلِ اللّٰهِ فَاقْرَءُوْا مَا تَيَسَّرَ مِنْهُ ۙ وَاَقِيْمُوا الصَّلٰوةَ وَاٰتُوا الزَّكٰوةَ وَاَقْرِضُوا اللّٰهَ قَرْضًا حَسَنًا وَمَا تُقَدِّمُوْا لِاَنْفُسِكُمْ مِّنْ خَيْرٍ تَجِدُوْهُ عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ هُوَ خَيْرًا وَّاَعْظَمَ اَجْرًا وَاسْتَغْفِرُو ا اللّٰهَی ط اِنَّ اللّٰهَ غَفُوْرٌ رَّحِيْمٌ ﴿۲۰﴾
صَدَقَ اللّٰهُ الْعَلِيُّ الْعَظِيْمُ
بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
عَنْ فَاطِمَةَ الزَّھْرَآءِ عَلَيْھَا السَّلَامُ بِنْتِ رَسُوْلِ اللّٰهِ صَلَّي اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ فَاطِمَةَ اَنَّھَا قَالَتْ دَخَلَ عَلَيَّ اَبٖيْ رَسُوْلُ اللّٰهِؐ فٖيْ بَعْضِ الْاَيَّامِ فَقَالَ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكِ يَافَاطِمَةُ فَقُلْتُ عَلَيْكَ السَّلَامُ قَالَ اِنِّٓيْ اَجِدُ فِيْ بَدَنِيْ ضُعْفًا فَقُلْتُ لَهُ اُعِيْذُكَ بِا للّٰهِ يَآ اَبَتَاهُ مِنَ الضُّعْفِ فَقَالَ يَا فَاطِمَةُ اِيْتِيْنِيْ بِالْكِسآءِ الْيَـمَانِيْ فَغَطِّيْنِيِ بِهٖ فَاَتَيْتُهُ بِالْكِسَآءِ الْيـَمَانيِّ فَغَطَّيْتُهُ بِهٖ وَصِرْتُ اَنْظُرُ اِلَيْهِ وَاِذَا وَجْھُهٗ يَتَلَأ لَؤُ كَاَنَّهُ الْبَدْرُ فِيْ لَيْلَةِ تَمَامِهٖ وَكَمَالِهٖ فَمَا كَانَتْ اِلَّا سَاعَةً وَّ اِذَا بِوَ لَدِيَ الْحَسَنِ قَدْ اَقْبَلَ وَقَالَ اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكِ يَآ اُمَّاهُ فَقُلْتُ وَعَليْكَ السَّلَامُ يَا قُرَّةَ عَيْنِيْ وَثَمَرَةَ فُؤَادِيْ فَقَالَ يَا اُمَّاهُ اِنِّيْ اَشَمُّ عِنْدَكِ رَآئِحَةً طَيِّبَةً كَاَ نَّـھَا رَآئِحَةُ جَدِّيْ رَسُوْلِ اللّٰهِ ؐ فَقُلْتُ نَعَمْ اِنَّ جَدَّكَ تَحْتَ الْكِسَآءِ فَاَقْبَلَ الْحَسَنُؑ نَحْوَالْكِسَآءِ وَقَالَ اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا جَدَّاهُ يَا رَسُوْلَ اللّٰهِؐ اَتَاْذَنُ لِٓيْ اَنْ اَدْخُلَ مَعَكَ تَحْتَ الْكِسَآءِ قَالَ وَعَلَيْكَ السَّلَامُ يَا وَلَدِيْ وَيَا صَاحِبَ حَوْضِيْ قَدْاَذِنْتُ لَكَ فَدَخَلَ مَعَهٗ تَحْتَ الْكِسَآءِ فَمَا كَانْتْ اِلَّاسَاعَةً وَّاِذَابِوَلَدِيَ الْحُسَيْنِؑ قَدْ اَقْبَلَ وَقَالَ اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكِ يَا اُمَّاهُ فَقُلْتُ وَعَلَيْكَ السَّلَامُ يَا وَلَدِيْ وَيَاقُرَّةَ عَيْنِيْ وَثَمَرةَ فُؤَادِيْ فَقَالَ لِيْ يَا اُمَّاهُ اِنِّيْ اَشَمُّ عِنْدَكِ رَآئِحَةً طَيِّبَةً كَانَّھَا رَآئِحَةُ جَدِّيْ رَسُوْلِ اللّٰهِ فَقُلْتُ نَعَمْ اِنَّ جَدَّكَ وَاَخَاكَ تَحْتَ الْكِسَآءِ فَدَنَي الْحُسَيْنُؐ نَحْوَالْكِسَآءِ وَقَالَ اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا جَدَّاهُ اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْـكَ يَا مَنِ اخْـتَارَهُ اللّٰهُ اَتَاْذَنُ لِيْٓ اَنْ اَدْخُلَ مَعَكُمَا تَحْتَ الْكِسَآءِ فَقَالَ وَعَلَيْكَ السَّلَامُ يَا وَلَدِيْ وَ يَا شَافِعَ اُمَّتِيْ قَدْ اَذِنْتُ لَكَ فَدَخَلَ مَعَهُمَا تَحْتَ الْكِسَآءِ فَاَقْبَلَ عِنْدَ ذٰلِكَ اَبُوالْحَسَنِؑ عَلِيُّ بْنُ اَبِيْطَالِبٍؑ وَقَالَ الَسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكِ يَا بِنْتَ رَسُوْلِ اللّٰهِؑ فَقُلْتُ وَعَلَيْكَ السَّلَامُ يَا اَبَاالْحَسَنِؑ وَيَا اَمَيْرِالْمُؤْمِنِيْنَؑ فَقَالَ يَا فَاطِمَةُ اِنِّيْ اَشَمُّ عِنْدَكِ رَآئِحَةً طَيِّبَةً كَاَنَّھَا رَآئِحَةُ اَخِيْ وَابْنِ عَمِّيْ رَسُوْلِ اللّٰهِؐ فَقُلْتُ نَعَمْ ھَا ھُوَ مَعَ وَلَدَيْكَ تَحْتَ الْكِسَآءِ فَاَقْبَلَ عَلِيٌّ نَحْوَ الْكِسَآءِ وَقَالَ اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَارَسُوْلَ اللّٰهِؐ اَتَاْذَنُ لِٓيْ اَنْ اَكُوْنَ مَعَكُمْ تَحْتَ الْكِسَآءِ قَالَ لَهٗ وَعَلَيْكَ السَّلَامُ يَا اَخِيْ وَيَا وَصِيِّيْ وَ خَلِيْفَتِيْ وَصَاحِبَ لِوَآئِيْ قَدْ اَذِنتُ لَكَ فَدَخَلَ عَلِيُّ تَحْتَ الْكِسَآءِ ثُمَّ اَتَيْتُ نَحْوَ الْكِسَآءِوَقُلْتُ اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا اَبَتَاهُ يَا رَسُوْلَ اللّٰهِؐ اَتَاْذَنُ لِيْٓ اَنْ اَكُوْنَ مَعَكُمْ تَحْتَ الْكِسَآءِ قَالَ وَعَلَيْكِ السَّلَامُ يَا بِنْتِيْ وَيَا بَضْعَتِيْ قَدْ اَذِنْتُ لَكِ فَدَخَلْتُ تحْتَ الْكِسَآءِ فَلَمَّا اكْتَمَلْنَآ جَمِيْعًا تَحْتَ الْكِسَآءِ اَخَذَ اَبِيْ رَسُوْلُ اللّٰهِؐ بِطَرَفِيْ الْكِسَآءِ وَاَوْمَيَ بِيَدِهِ الْيُمْنٰي اِلَي السَّمٰآءِ وَقَالَ اَللّٰھُمَّ اِنَّ ھٰؤُ لٰآءِ اَھْلُ بَيْتِيْ وَخَآصَّتِيْ وَحَآمَّتِيْ لَحْمُھُمْ لَحْمِيْ وَدَمُھُمْ دَمِيْ يُؤْلِمُنِيْ مَا يُؤْ لِمُھُمْ وَيَحْزُنُنِيْ مَايَحْزُ نُھُمْ اَنَاحَرْبٌ لِّمَنْ حَارَبَھُمْ وَسِلْمٌ لِّمَنْ سَالَمَهُمْ وَعَدُ وٌّ لِّمَنْ عَادَاھُمْ وَمُحِبٌ لِّمَنْ اَجَبَّھُمْ اِنَّھُمْ مِنِّيْ وَاَنَا مِنْھُمْ فَاجْعَلْ صَلَوَاتِكَ وَبَرَ كَاتِكَ وَرَحْمَتِكَ وَغُفَراَنَكَ وَرِضْوَانَكَ عَلَيَّ وَعَلَيْھِمْ وَاَذْھِبْ عَنْهُمُ الِرّجْسَ وَطَھِّرْ ھُمْ تَطْھِيْراً فَقَالَ اللّٰهُ عَزَّوَجَلَّ يَا مَلَآئِكَتِيْ وَيَاسُكَّاَنَ سَمَوَاتِي اِنِّيْ مَا خَلَقْتُ سَمَآءً مَّبْنِيَّةً وَّلَا اَرْضاً مَّدْحِيَّةً وَّلَا قَمَرًا مُّنِيْراً وَّلَا شَمْسًا مُّضِٓيْئَةً وَّلَا فَلَكاً يَّدُوْرُ وَلَابَحْرًا يَّجْرِيْ وَلَا فُلْكًا يَّسْرِيْ اِلَّا فِيْ مَحَبَّةِ ھٰؤُلَآءِ الْخَمْسَةِ الَّذِيْنَ ھُمْ تَحْتَ الْكِسَآءِ فَقَالَ الْاَمِيْنُ جِبْرَآئِيْلُؑ يَارَبِّ وَمَنْ تَحْتَ الْكِسَآءِ فَقَالَ اللّٰهُ عَزَّوَجَلَّ ھُمْ اَھْلُ بَيْتِ النُّبُوَّةِ وَمَعْدِنُ الرِّسَالَةِ ھُمْ فَاطِمَةُ ؑوَ اَبُوْھَاؑ وَبَعْلُھَاؑ وَبَنُوْھَاؑ فَقَالَ جِبْرَآئِيْلُؑ يَا رَبِّ اَتَاْذَنُ لِيْٓ اَنْ اَھْبِطَ اِلَي الْاَرْضِ لِاَ كُوْنَ مَعَھُمْ سَادِساً فَقَالَ اللّٰهُ نَعَمْ قَدْ اَذِنْتُ لَكَ فَھَبَطَ الْاَمِيْنُ جِبْرَآئِيْلُ وَقَالَ اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَارَسُوْلَ اللّٰهِؐ اَلْعَلِيُّ الْاَعْليٰ يَقْرِئُكَ السَّلَامَ وَيَخُصُّكَ بِالتَّحِيَّةِ وَالْاِكْرَامِ وَيَقُوْلُ لَكَ وَعِزَّتِيْ وَجَلَالِيْ اِنِّيْ مَا خَلَقْتُ سَمَآءً مَّبْنِيَّةً وَّلَا اَرْضاً مَّدْحِيَّةً وَّلَا قَمَرَاً مُّنِيْرًا وَّلَا شَمْسًا مُّضِيْئَةً وَّلَا فَلَكًا يَّدُوْرُ وَلَا بَحْراً يَّجْريْ وَّلَا فُلْكًا يَّسْرِيْ اِلَّا لِاَ جْلِكُمْ وَ مَحَبَّتِكُمْ وَقَدْاَذِنَ لِيْٓ اَنْاَدْخُلَ مَعْكُمْ فَهَلْ تَاْذَنُ لِيْ يَارَسُوْلَ اللّٰهِ فَقَالَ رَسُوْلُ اللّٰهِؐ وَعَلَيْكَ السَّلَامُ يَا اَمِيْنَ وَحْيِ اللّٰهِ اِنَّهٗ نَعَمْ قَدْ اَذِنْتُ لَكَ فَدَخَلَ جِبْرَآئِيْلُؑ مَعَنَا تَحْتَ الْكِسَآءِفَقَالَ لِاَ بِيْ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ قَدْ اَوْحٰي اِلَيْكُمْ يَقُوْلُ اِنَّمَايُرِيْدُ اللّٰهُ لِيُذْھِبَ عَنْكُمُ الرِّجْسَ اَھْلَ الْبَيْتِ وَ يُطَهِّرَكُمْ تَطْهِيْراًo فَقَالَ عَلِيٌّ لِاَبِيْ يَا رَسُوْلَ اللّٰهِؐ اَخْبِرْنِيْ مَا لِجُلُوْسِنَاھٰذَا تَحْتَ الْكِسَآءِ مِنَ الْفَضْلِ عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ وَالَّذِيْ بَعَثَنِيْ بِالْحَقِّ نَبِيًّا وَّ اصْطَفَانِيْ بِالرِّسَالَةِ نَجِيًّا مَّا ذُكِرَ خَبَرُنَا ھٰذَا فِيْ مَحْفِلٍ مِّنْ مَّحَافِلِ اَھْلِ الْاَرْضِ وَفِيْهِ جَمْعٌ مِّنْ شِيْعَتِنَا وَمُحِبِّيْنَا اِلَّاوَنَزَلَتْ عَلَيْھِمُ الرَّحْمَةُ وَحَفَّتْ بِھِمُ الْمَلٰٓائِكَةُ وَاسْتَغْفَرَتْ لَھُمْ اِلٰٓي اَنْ يَّتَفَرَّ قُوْا فَقَالَ عَلِيٌّ اِذًا وَّاللّٰهِ فُزْنَا وَفَازَ شِيَعَتُنَا وَرَبِّ الْكَعْبَةِ فَقَالَ اَبِيْ رَسُوُلَ اللّٰهِ صَلَّي اللّٰهَ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ يَا عَلِيُّ وَالَّذِيْ بَعَثَنِيْ بِالْحَقِّ نَبِيًّا وَّاصْطَفَانِيْ بِالرِّسَالَةِ نَجِيًّا مَّا ذُكِرَ خَبَرُنَا ھٰذَا فِيْ مَحْفِلٍ مِّنْ مَّحَافِلِ اَھْلِ الْاَرْضِ وَفِيْهِ جَمْعٌ مِّنْ شِيْعَتِنَا وَمُحِبِّيْنَا وَ فِيْهِمْ مَھْمُوْمٌ اِلَّا وَفَرَّجَ اللّٰهُ ھَمَّهٗ وَلَا مَغْمُوْمٌ اِلّٰا وَكَشَفَ اللّٰهُ غَمَّهٗ وَلَا طَالِبُ حَاجَةٍ اِلّٰا وَقَضَي اللّٰهُ حَاجَتَهٗ فَقَالَ عَلِيٌّ اِذًا وَّ اللّٰهِ فُزْنَا وَ سُعِدْنَا وَكَذٰلِكَ شِيْعَتُنَا فَازُوْا وَسُعِدُوَ افِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْاٰ خِرَةِ وَرَبِّ الْكَعْبَةِ اَللّٰھُمَّ صَلِّ عَليٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَّاٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
BIS-MIL-LAAHIR-RAH'-MAANIR-RAH'EEMI AN FAAT'IMATAZ-ZAH-RAAA-I ( ALAYHAS-SALAAM ) BINTI RASOOLIL-LAAHI ( S' ) QAALAT : DAKHALA A'LAY-YA ABEE RASOOLUL-LAAHI ( S' ) FEE BAA'-Z'IL AY-YAAMI FAQAALA : AS-SALAAMU A'LAY-KI YAA FAAT'IMAH FAQUL-TU : A'LAY-KAS-SALAAM QAALA : IN-NEEE AJIDU FEE BADANEE Z'UA'-FAAN' FAQUL-TU LAHOOO : UE'ED'UKA BIL-LAAHI YAA ABATAAHOO MANAZ'-Z'UA'FI FAQAALA : YAA FAAT'IMATU EE-TEENEE BIL-KASAAA-IL-YAMAANEE FAGHAT-TEENEE BIHI FA ATAY-TUHOO BIL-KISAAA-IL-YAMAANEE FAGHAT-TAY-TUHOO BIHI WA S'UR-TU ANZ'URU ILAY-HEE WA ID'AA WAJ-HAHOO YATAL-LAU KAAN-NAHUL-BAD-RU FEE LAY-LATI TAMAAMIHEE WA KAMAALIH FAMAA KAANAT IL-LAA SAAA'TAW-WA ID'AA BIWALADIYAL-H'ASANI ( ALAYHIS-SALAAM ) QAD AQ-BALA WA QAALA : AS-SALAAMU A'LAY-KI YAAA UM-MAAH FAQUL-TU : WA A'LAY-KAS-SALAAMU YAA QUR-RATA A'Y-NEE WA THAMARATA FUAADEE FAQAALA : YAA UM-MAAHOO IN-NEE ASHUM-MU I'NDAKI RAAA-IH'ATIN TAY-YIBATIN KAAN-NAHAA RAAA-IH'ATU JAD-DEE RASOOLIL-LAAH FAQUL-TU : NAA'M IN-NA JAD-DAKA TAH'-TAL-KISAAA FA AQ-BALAL-H'ASANU NAH'-WAL-KISAAA-I WA QAALA : AS-SALAAMU A'LAY-KA YAA JAD-DAAHOO YAA RASOOLAL-LAAHI ATA-D'ANU LEEE AN AD-KHULA MAA'KA TAH'-TAL-KISAAA QAALA : WA A'LAY-KAS-SALAAMU YAA WALADEE WA YAA ID'AAW-WAL-LAAHI FUZ-NAA WA SUI'D-NAA WA KAD'AALIKA SHEE-ATUNAA FAAZOO WA SUI'DOO FID-DUNYAA WAL AAAKHIRATI WA RAB-BIL-KAA'-BAH
In the name of Allah, the All-Merciful, the All-Compassionate Fatimah al-Zahra, the daughter of the Prophet, peace be on them, is to have thus related (an event):- My father, the Prophet of Allah, came to my house one day and said to me: ''Peace be upon you, O Fatimah!''I replied: ''And upon you be peace''Then he said: ''I feel weakness in my body''I said: ''Allah protects you from weakness, father'' "Fatimah," he ordered, "bring me the Yemeni cloak and cover me with it."So, I brought the Yemeni cloak and covered him with it.Then, I looked at him and saw that his face was shining like a full moon with its glory and splendor.After a while, my son Hasan came in. ''Peace be upon you, mother!'' he greeted.I replied: "And upon you peace, O light of my eyes, and the delight of my heart"He then said:" Mother! I smell a fragrance so sweet and so pure as that of my grandfather, the Prophet of Allah"I replied: "Yes. Your grandfather is lying underneath the cloak"Hasan went near the cloak and said: "Peace be on you, my grandfather, the Prophet of Allah; May I enter the cloak with you?"He replied: "And upon you peace, my son and the master of my fountain (Kauthar), you are given the permission to enter"So, Hasan entered the cloak with him. After a while, my son Husain came in and said: "Peace be on you, mother" I replied: "And upon you peace, O light of my eyes, and the delight of my heart" He then said: "Mother! I smell a sweet fragrance like that of my grandfather, the Prophet of Allah" I replied: "Yes. Your grandfather and your brother are lying underneath the cloak" Husain stepped towards the cloak and said: "Peace be on you, my grandfather, the chosen of Allah; May I enter the cloak with you?" He replied: "And upon you peace, my son and the interceder of my followers, you are given the permission to enter" So, Husain entered the cloak with them. After a while, Abul Hasan, Ali bin Abi Talib came in and said: "Peace be on you, O daughter of the Prophet of Allah" I replied: "And upon you peace, O father of Hasan, and the Commander of the faithful" He then said: "Fatimah! I smell a sweet fragrance like that of my brother, (my cousin), the Prophet of Allah" I replied: "Yes. He is underneath the cloak with your two sons" So, Ali went near the cloak and said: "Peace be on you, Prophet of Allah; May I enter the cloak with you?"He replied: "And upon you peace, my brother, my legatee, my successor, and my standard bearer, you are given the permission to enter" So, Ali entered the cloak with them. Then I stepped forward and said: "Peace be on you, my father, O Prophet of Allah; May I enter the cloak with you?" He replied: "And upon you peace, my daughter, O part of my self; you are given the permission to enter" So, I entered the cloak with them. Getting together underneath the cloak, my father, the Prophet of Allah, held the two ends of the cloak and raised his right hand towards the heavens and prayed: "O Allah, these are the people of my Household (Ahlul-Bayt). They are my confidants and my supporters. Their flesh is my flesh and their blood is my blood. Whoever hurts them, hurts me too. Whoever displeases them, displeased me too. I am at war with those at war with them. I am at peace with those at peace with them. I am the enemy of their enemies And I am the friend of their friends. They are from me and I am from them. O Allah! Bestow Your Blessings, Benevolence, Forgiveness and Your pleasure upon me and upon them. And remove impurity from them and keep them thoroughly pure" Then the Lord, Almighty Allah said: "O My angles! O Residents of My Heavens, verily, I have not created the erected Sky, the stretched earth, the illuminated moon, the bright sun, the rotating planets, the flowing seas and the sailing ships, but for the love of these Five lying underneath the cloak" Gabriel, the trusted angle, asked: "Who are under the cloak?" The Almighty answered: "They are the Household of the Prophet and the assets of Prophet hood. They are: Fatimah, her father, her husband and her two sons" Gabriel said:" O Lord, May I fly to earth to be the sixth of them? Allah replied:" Yes. You are given the permission" Gabriel, the trusted, landed near them and said: "Peace be on you, O Prophet of Allah. The All Highest conveys His peace on you and His greetings and says: "By My Honor and Glory, "O My angles! O Residents of My Heavens, verily, I have not created the erected Sky, the stretched earth, the illuminated moon, the bright sun, the rotating planets, the flowing seas and the sailing ships, but for your sake and love" God has given me permission to enter the cloak with you. May I join you, O Prophet of Allah?" The Prophet replied: "And peace be on you, O trusted bearer of Allah''''s Revelations!, you are granted the permission" So, Gabriel entered the cloak with us and said to my father: "Allah sends His Revelations to you " Verily Allah''''''''s desire is to remove blemish from you, O People of Household (Ahlul-Bayt) and purify you with a perfect purification" (33:33). Then Ali said to my father:" O Prophet of Allah, tell me, what significance has Allah given for getting together underneath this cloak?" The Prophet replied: "By Him who rightfully appointed me a Prophet and chose me a Messenger for the salvation of the mankind, whenever and wherever an assembly of our followers and friends mention this event, Allah will bestow on them His Blessings and Mercy; angels will encircle them asking Allah the remission of their sins until the assembly disperse''. So Ali said:" Verily, by the Lord of Kaaba!, we and our followers are the winners" Then my father replied: "By Him who rightfully appointed me a Prophet and chose me a Messenger for the salvation of the mankind, whenever and wherever an assembly of our followers and friends mention this event, there shall remain none grieved but Allah will remove his grief, there shall remain none distressed but Allah will dispel his distress, there shall remain none wish-seeker but Allah will grant his wish. Ali happily said: "Verily, by the Lord of Kaaba! we and our followers are the winners and the blessed, in this world and the next."
Ḥadīth al-Kisā' (Arabic: حَديث الکِساء, the cloak hadith) is one of the virtues of the Prophet (s), Imam 'Ali (a), Lady Fatima (a), Imam al-Hasan (a), and Imam al-Husayn (a). This incident occurred in the house of Umm Salama, the Holy Prophet's wife. The Prophet (s) covered himself, his daughter, his son-in-law, and his two grandsons with his kisa' and said: "O Allah! These are my Ahl al-Bayt (family) so repel all impurity from them and purify them with a thorough purification." Then the Tathir verse was revealed. Ahl al-Bayt (a) have mentioned the hadith as one of their virtues and as a reason for their legitimacy for the caliphate of the Prophet (s). None of the hadiths about the event of kisa' have expressed it completely, but each one had mentioned a part of it. The following is the description of the event using the entire body of hadiths in this regard: "The Prophet (s) was in the house of one of his wives, Umm Salama. He was expecting an important message about some of his relatives, so he told Umm Salama not to let anyone in. In the same time, Lady Fatima (a), the daughter of the Prophet (s) decided to make a food, named 'asida, for her father and brings it to him. Umm Salama says: 'I couldn't prevent Fatima from entering', the Prophet (s) told his daughter: 'Go and bring your husband and your two sons', so Fatima (a) went to her house immediately and returned with 'Ali (a), al-Hasan (a), and al-Husayn (a). Umm Salama went to a corner and started a prayer by a cue from the Prophet (s). The Prophet (s), Ali (a), Fatima (a), al-Hasan (a), and al-Husayn (a) sat around a cloth spread for the food. The Prophet (s) covered himself and 'Ali (a) and Fatima (a) and al-Hasan (a) and al-Husayn (a) with his kisa' (cloak), raised the palm of his right hand to the sky and said: O Allah! These are my Ahl al-Bayt (family) so repel all impurity from them and purify them with a thorough purification." Then Jabra'il (Gabriel) came down and revealed the Tathir verse: Indeed Allah desires to repel all impurity from only you, O Ahl al-Bayt (People of the Household), and purify you with a thorough purification.(Qur'an 33:33) Umm Salama wanted to enter under the kisa', but the Prophet (s) prevented her. She asked: 'Am I not one of the Ahl al-Bayt?'. The Prophet (s) said: 'you are on the path of righteousness and goodness, you are one of the wives of the prophet of Allah.'"
This is Dua e Hazrat Khizar Also Known as Dua e Kumail
بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
اَللّٰھُمَّ اِنِّيْٓ اَسْئَلُكَ بِرَحْمَتِكَ الَّتِيْ وَسِعَتْ كُلَّ شَيْ ءٍ وَبِقُوَّتِكَ الَّتِيْ قَهَرْتَ بِھَا كُلَّ شَي ءٍ وَخَضَعَ لَهَا كُلُّ شَيْ ءٍ وَّذَلَّ لَھَا كُلُّ شَيْ ءٍ وَّ بِجَبَرُوْتِكَ الَّتِيْ غَلَبْتَ بِھَا كُلَّ شَيْءٍ وَّبِعِزَّتِكَ الَّتِيْ لَا يَقُوْمُ لَھَا شَيْءٌ وَّبِعَظَمَتِكَ الَّتِيْ مَلَأَ تْ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ وَّ بِسُلْطَانِكَ الَّذِيْ عَلَا كُلَّ شَيْ ءٍ وَّبِوَجْھِكَ الْبَاقِيْ بَعْدَ فَنَآءِ كُلِّ شَيْ ءٍ وَّ بِاَسْمَائِكَ الَّتِيْ مَلأَتْ اَرْكَانَ كُلَّ شَيْ ءٍ وَّبِعِلْمِكَ الَّذِيَْ اَحَاطَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَّبِنُوْرِ وَجْھِكَ الَّذِيْ اَضَآءَلَهٗ كُلُّ شَيْ ءٍ يَا نُوْرُ يَا قُدُّوْسُ يَا اَوَّلَ الْاَوَّلِيْنَ وَيَااٰخِرَ الْاٰخِرِيْنَ اَللّٰھُمَّ اغْفِرْلِيَ الذُّنُوْبَ الَّتِيْ تَھْتِكُ الْعِصَمَ اَللّٰھُمَّ اغْفِرْلِيَ الذُّنُوْبَ الَّتِيْ تُنْزِلُ النِّقَمَ اَللّٰھُمَّ اغْفِرْلِيَ الذُّنُوْبَ الَّتِيْ تُغَيِّرُ النِّعَمَ اَللّٰھُمَّ اغْفِرْلِيَ الذُّنُوْبَ الَّتِيْ تَحْبِسُ الدُّعَآءَ اَللّٰھُمَّ اغْفِرْلِيَ الذُّنُوْبَ الَّتِيْ تَقْطَعُ الرَّجَآءَ اَللّٰھُمَّ اغْفِرْلِيَ الذُّنُوْبَ الَّتِيْ تُنْزِلُ الْبَلَآءَ اَللّٰھُمَّ اغْفِرْلِيْ كُلَّ ذَنْبٍ اَذْنَبْتُهٗ وَكُلَّ خَطِٓيْئَةٍ اَخْطَاْتُهَا اَللّٰھُمَّ اِنِّيْٓ اَتَقَرَّبُ اِلَيْكَ بِذِكْرِكَ وَاَسْتَشْفِعُ بِكَ اِلٰي نَفْسِكَ نَفْسِكَ وَاَسئَلُكَ بِجُوْدِكَ (وَكَرَمِكَ) اَنْ تُدْنِيَنِيْ مِنْ قُرْبكَ وَاَنْ تُوْزِعَنِيْ شُكْرَكَ وَاَنَ تُلْھِمَنِيْ ذِكْرَكَ اَللّٰھُمَّ اِنِّيْ اَسْئَلُكَ سُؤَالَ خَاضِعٍ مُتَذَلِّلٍ خَاشِعٍ مُّتَضَرِّعٍ اَنْ تُسَامِحَنِيْ وَتَرْحَمَنِيْ وَتَجْعَلَنِيْ بِقِسْمِكَ رَاضِيًا قَانِعًا وَّفِيْ جَمِيْعِ الْاَحْوَالِ مُتَوَاضِعًا اَللّٰھُمَّ وَاَسْئَلُكَ سُؤَالَ مَنِ اشْتَدَّتْ فَاقَتُهٗ وَاَنْزَلَ بِكَ عِنْدَ الشَّدَآئِدِ حَاجَتَهٗ وَعَظُمَ فِيْـمَا عِنْدَكَ رَغْبَتُهٗ اَللّٰھُمَّ عَظُمَ سُلْطَانُكَ وَعَلَا مَكَانُكَ وَخَفِيَ مَكْرُكَ وَظَھَرَ اَمْرُكَ وَغَلَبَ قَھْرُكَ وَجَرَتْ قُدْرَتُكَ وَلَا يُمْكِنُ الْفِرَارُمِنْ حُكُوْمَتِكَ اَللّٰھُمَّ لَآ اَجِدُلِذُ نُوْبِيْ غَافِرًا وَّلَا لِقَبَآئِحِيْ سَاتِرًا وَّلَا لِشَيْ ءٍ مِنْ عَمَلِيَ الْقَبِيْحِ بِالْحَسَنِ مُبَدِّ لًا غَيْرَكَ لَآ اِلٰهَ اِلَّآ اَنْتَ سُبْحَانَكَ وَبِحَمْدِكَ ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِيْ وَتَجَرَّأْتُ بِجَهْلِيْ وَ سَكَنْتُ اِليٰ قَدِيْمِ ذِكْرِكَ لِيْ وَمَنِّكَ عَلَيَّ اَللّٰھُمَّ مَوْلَايَ كَمْ مِّنْ قَبِيْحٍ سَتَرْتَهٗ وَكَمْ مِّنْ فَادِحٍ مِّنَ الْبَلَآءِ اَقَلْتَهٗ وَكَمْ مِّنْ عِثَارٍ وَّقَيْتَهٗ وَكَمْ مِّنْ مَّكْرُوْهٍ دَفَعْتَهٗ وَكَمْ مِّنْ ثَنَآءٍ جَمِيْلِ لَّسْتُ اَھْلًا لَّهٗ نَشَرْتَهٗ اَللّٰھُمَّ عَظُمَ بَلَآئِيْ وَاَفْرَطَ بِيْ سُوْٓ ءُ حَالِيْ وَقَصُرَتْ بِيْ اَعْمَالِيْ وَقَعَدَتْ بِيْ اَغْلَالِيْ وَحَبَسَنِيْ عَنْ نَّفْعِيْ بَعْدُ اٰمَالِيْ وَخَدْعَتْنِي الدُّنْيَا بِغُرُوْرِھَا وَنَفْسِيْ بِخِيَانَتِھَا وَمِطَالِيْ يَا سَيِّدِيْ وَاَسْئَلُكَ بِعِزَّ تِكَ اَنْ لَّا يَحْجُبَ عَنْكَ دُعَائِيْ سُوْٓ ءُ عَمَلِيْ وَفِعَالِيْ وَلَا تَفْضَحْنِيْ بِخَفِيِّ مَا اطَّلَعْتَ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ سِرِّيْ وَلَا تُعَاجِلْنِيْ بِالْعُقُوْبَةِ عَليٰ مَا عَمِلْتُهٗ فِيْ خَلَواتِيْ مِنْ سُوْٓءءِ فِعْلِيْ وَاِسَآءَتِيْ وَدَوَامِ تَفْرِيْطِيْ وَجَهَالَتِيْ وَكَثْرَةِ شَهَوَاتِيْ وَغَفْلَتِيْ وَكُنِ اَللّٰهُمَّ بِعِزَّ تِكَ لِيْ فِيْ كُلِّ الْاَحْوَالِ رَءُوْفًا وَّعَلَيَّ فِيْ جَمِيْعِ الْاُ مُوْرِ عَطُوْفًا اِلٰھِيْ وَمَوْلَايَ وَرَبِّيْ مَنْ لِّيْ غَيْرُكَ اَسْئَلُهٗ كَشْفَ ضُرِّيْ وَالنَّظَرَفِيْ اَمْرِيْ اِلٰھِيْ وَمَوْلَايَ اَجْرَيْتَ عَلَيَّ حُكْمًا نِ اتَّبَعْتُ فِيْهِ ھَوَيٰ نَفْسِيْ وَلَمْ اَحْتَرِسْ فِيْهِ مِنْ تَزْيِيْنِ عَدُوِّيْ فَغَرَّنِيْ بِمَآ اَھْوٰي وَاَسْعَدَهٗ عَليٰ ذٰلِكَ الْقَضَآءُ فَتَجَاوَزْتُ بِمَا جَرٰي عَلَيَّ مِنْ ذٰلِكَ بَعْضَ حُدُوْدِكَ وَخَالَفْتُ بَعْضَ اَوَامِرِكَ فَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ عَلَيَّ فِيْ جَمِيْعِ ذٰلِكَ وَلَا حُجَّةَ لِيْ فِيْـمَا جَرٰي عَلَيَّ فِيْهِ قَضَآؤُكَ وَاَلْزَمَنِيْ حُكْمُكَ وَبَلَآئوُكَ وَقَدْ اٰتَيْتُكَ يَآاِلٰھِيْ بَعْدَ تَقْصِيْرِيْ وَ اِسْرَافِيْ عَليٰ نَفْسِيْ مُعْتَذِرًا نَّادِمًا مُّنْكَسِرًا مُّسْتَقِيْلاً مُّسْتَغْفِرًا مُّنِيْبًا مُّقِرًّا مُّذْعِنًا مُعْتَرِفًا لَّآ اَجِدُمَفَرًّا مِّمَّا كَانَ مِنِّيْ وَلَا مَفْزَعًا اَتَوَجَّهُ اِلَيْهِ فِيْ اَمْرِيْ غَيْرَ قَبُوْلِكَ عُذْرِيْ وَاِدْخَالِكَ اِيَّايَ فِيْ سَعَةٍ مِّنْ رَّحْمَتِكَاَللّٰھُمَّفَاقْبَلْعُذْرِيْ وَارْحَمْ شِدَّةَ ضُرِّيْ وَفُكَّنِيْ مِنْ شَدِّ وَثَاقِيْ يَا رَبِّ ارْحَمْ ضَعْفَ بَدَنِيْ وَرِقَّةَ جِلْدِيْ وَدِقَّةَ عَظْمِيْ يَا مَنْ بَدَأَخَلْقِيْ وَذِكْرِيْ وَتَرْبِيَتِيْ وَبِّرِيْ وَ تَغْذِيَتِيْ ھَبْنِيْ لِاِ بْتِدَآءِ كَرَمِكَ وَسَالِفِ بِّرِكَ بِيْ يَآ اِلٰھِيْ وَسَيِّدِيْ وَرَبِّيْاَتُرَاكَ مُعَذِّبِيْ بِنَارِكَ بَعْدَ تَوْحِيْدِكَ وَبَعْدَ مَا انْطَوٰي عَلَيْهِ قَلْبِيْ مِنْ مَّعْرِفَتِكَ وَلَھِجَ بِهٖ لِسَانِيْ مِنْ ذِكْرِكَ وَاعْتَقَدَهٗ ضَمِيْرِيْ مِنْ حُبِّكَ وَبَعْدَ صِدْقِ اعْتِرَافِيْ وَدُعَآئِيْ خَاضِعًا لِّرُبُوْبِيَّتِكَ ھَيْهَاتَ اَنْتَ اَكْرَمُ مِنْ اَنْ تُضَيِّعَ مَنْ رَّبَّيْتَهٗ اَوْتُبَعِّدَ مَنْ اَدْنَيْتَهٗ اَوْتُشَرِّدَ مَنْ اٰوَيَتَهٗ اَوْتُسَلِّمَ اِلَي الْبَلَآءِ مَنْ كَفَيْتَهٗ وَرَحِمَتَهٗ وَلَيْتَ شِعْرِيْ يَا سَيِّدِيْ وَ اِلٰھِيْ وَمَوْلَايَ اَتُسَلِّطُ النَّارَ عَليٰ وُجُوْهٍ خَرَّتْ لِعَظَمَتِكَ سَاجِدَةً وَّعَليٰٓ اَلْسُنٍ نَطَقَتْ بِتَوْحِيْدِكَ صَادِقَةً وَّبِشُكْرِكَ مَادِحَةً وَّعَليٰ قُلُوْبِ ن اعْتَرَفَتْ بِاِلِٰھِيَّتِكَ مُحَقِّقَةً وَّعَليٰ ضَمَآئِرَ حَوَتْ مِنَ الْعِلْمِ بِكَ حَتّٰي صَارَتْ خَاِشِعَةً وَّعَليٰ جَوَارِحَ سَعَتْ اِليٰٓ اَوْطَانِ تَعَبُّدِكَ طَآئِعَةً وَّاَشَاَرَتْ بِاِسْتِغْفَارِكَ مُذْعِنَةً مَّا ھٰكَذَاالظَّنُّ بِكَ وَلَآ اُخْبِرْنَا بِفَضْلِكَ عَنْكَ يَا كَرِيْمُ يَا رَبِّ وَاَنْتَ تَعْلَمُ ضَعْفِيْ عَنْ قَلِيْلٍ مِّنْ بَلَآءِ الدُّنْيَاوَعُقُوْبَاتِهَا وَمَايَجْرِيْ فِيْهَا مِنَ الْمَكَارِهِ عَليٰ اَھْلِهَا عَليٰٓ اَنَّ ذٰلِكَ بَلَآءٌ وَّمَكْرُوْهٌ قَلِيْلٌ مَّكْثُهٗ يَسِيْرٌ بَقَآؤُهٗ قَصِيْرٌ مُّدَّتُهٗ فَكَيْفَ احْتِمَالِيْ لِبَلَآءِالْاٰخِرَةِ وَجَلِيْلِ وُقُوْعِ الْمَكَارِهِ فِيْهَا وَھُوَ بَلَآءٌ تَطُوْلُ مُدَّتُهٗ وَ يَدُوْمُ مَقَامُهٗ وَلَا يُخَفَّفُ عَنْ اَھْلِهٖ لِاَ نَّهٗ لَايَكُوْنُ اِلَّا عَنْ غَضَبِكَ وَاِنْتِقَامِكَ وَ سَخَطِكَ وَھٰذَامَالَا تَقُوْمُ لَهُ السَّمٰوٰتُ وَالْاَرْضُ يَا سَيِّدِيْ فَكَيْفَ لِيْ وَاَنَا عَبْدُكَ الضَّعِيْفُ الذَّلِيْلُ الْحَقِيْرُ الْمِسْكِيْنُ الْمُسْتَكِيْنُ يَآ اِلٰھِيْ وَرَبِّيْ وَسَيِّدِيْ وَمَوْلَايَ لِاَ يِّ الْاُمُوْرِ اِلَيْكَ اَشْكُوْاوَلِمَا مِنْهَا اَضِجُّ وَاَبْكِيْ لِاَ لِيْمِ الْعَذَابِ وَشِدَّتِهٖ اَمْ لِطُوْلِ الْبَلَآءِ وَ مُدَّتِهٖ فَلَئِنْ صَيَّرْتَنِيْ لِلْعُقُوْبَاتِ مَعْ اَعْدَآئِكَ وَ جَمَعْتَ بَيْنِيْ وَبَيْنَ اَھْلِ بَلَآئِكَ وَفَرَّقْتَ بَيْنِيْ وَبَيْنَ اَحِبَّآئِكَ وَاَوْلِيَائِكَ فَھَبْنِيْ يَآ اِلٰھِيْ وَسَيِّدِيْ وَمَوْلَايَ وَرَبِّيْ صَبَرْتُ عَليٰ عَذَابِكَ فَكَيْفَ اَصْبِرُ عَليٰ فِرَاقِكَ وَ ھَبْنِيْ صَبَرْتُ عَليٰ حَرِّنَارِكَ فَكَيْفَ اَصْبِرُ عَنِ النَّظَرِ اِليٰ كَرَامَتِكَ اَمْ كَيْفَ اَسْكُنُ فِي النَّارِ وَرَجَآئِيْ عَفْوُكَ فَبِعِزَّ تِكَ يَا سَيِّدِيْ وَمَوْلَايَ اُقْسِمُ صَادِقًا لَّئِنْ تَرَكْتَنِيْ نَاطِقًا لَّاَ ضِجَّنَّ اِلَيْكَ بَيْنَ اَھْلِھَا ضَجِيْجَ الْاٰ مِلِيْنَ وَ لَاصْرُخَنَّ اِلَيْكَ صُرَاخَ الْمُسْتَصْرِخِيْنَ وَلَاَ بْكِيَنَّ عَلَيْكَ بُكَآءَ الْفَاقِدِيْنَ وَ لَاُ نَادِيَنَّكَ اَيْنَ كُنْتَ يَا وَلِيَّ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ يَا غَايَةَ اٰمَالِ الْعَارِفِيْنَ يَا غِيَاثَ الْمُسْتَغِيْثِيْنَ يَا حَبِيْبَ قُلُوْبِ الصَّادِقِيْنَ وَيَا اِلٰهَ الْعَالَمِيْنَ اَفَتُرَاْكَ سُبْحَانَكَ يَآ اِلٰھِيْ وَبِحَمْدِكَ تَسْمَعُ فِيْھَا صَوْتَ عَبْدٍ مُسْلِمٍ سُجِنَ فِيْهَا بِمُخَالِفَتِهٖ وَذَاقَ طَعْمَ عَذَابِھَا بِمَعْصِيَتِهٖ وَ حُبِسَ بَيْنَ اَطْبَا قِهَا بِجُرْمِهٖ وَجَرِيْرَ تِهٖ وَھُوَ يَضِجُّ اِلَيْكَ ضَجِيْجَ مُؤَمِّلٍ لِّرَحْمَتِكَ وَ يُنَادِيْكَ بِلِسَانِ اَھْلِ تَوْحِيْدِكَ وَيَتَوَسَّلُ اِلَيْكَ بِرُ بُوْبِيَّتِكَ يَا مَوْلَايَ فَكَيْفَ يَبْقٰي فِي الْعَذَابِ وَھُوَ يَرْجُوْ مَاسَلَفَ مِنْ حِلْمِكَ وَرَاْفَتِكَ وَرَحْمَتِكَ اَمْ كَيْفَ تُؤْ لِمُهُ النَّارُ وَھُوَ يَاْ مُلُ فَضْلَكَ وَرَحْمَتَكَ اَمْ كَيْفَ يُحْرِقُهٗ لَھِيْبُھَا وَاَنْتَ تَسْمَعُ صَوْتَهٗ وَتَرٰي مَكَانَهٗ اَمْ كَيْفَ يَشْتَمِلُ عَلَيْهِ زَفِيْرُ ھَا واَنْتَ تَعْلَمُ ضَعْفَهٗ اَمْ كَيْفَ يَتَقَلْقَلُ بَيْنَ اَطْبَاقِهَا وَاَنْتَ تَعْلَمُ صِدْقَهٗ اَمْ كَيْفَ تَزْجُرُهٗ زَبَانِيَتُهَا وَھُويُنَا دِيْكَ يَا رَبَّهُ اَمْ كَيْفَ يَرْجُوْا فَضْلَكَ فِيْ عِتْقِهٖ مِنْھَا فَتَتْرُكُهٗ فِيْھَا ھَيْهَاتَ مَا ذٰلِكَ الظَّنُّ بِكَ وَلَا الْمَعْرُوْفُ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ وَلَا مُشْبِهٌ لِّمَا عَامَلْتَ بِهٖ الْمُوَحِّدِيْنَ مِنْ بِرِّكَ وَ اِحْسَانِكَ فَبِا لْيَقِيْنِ اَقْطَعُ لَوْلَا مَا حَكَمْتَ بِهٖ مِنْ تَعْذِيْبِ جَاحِدِيْكَ وَقَضَيْتَ بِهٖ مِنْ اِخْلَادِ مُعَا نِدِيْكَ لَجَعَلْتَ النَّارَ كُلَّھَا بَرْدًا وَّسَلَامًا وَّ مَاكَانَتْ لِاَ حَدٍفِيْھَا مَقَرًّا وَّ لَامُقَامًا لٰكِنَّكَ تَقَدَّسَتْ اَسْمَآئوُكَ اَقْسَمْتَ اَنْ تَمْلَأَ ھَا مِنَ الْكَافِرِيْنَ مِنَ الْجِنَّةِ وَ النَّاسِ اَجْمَعِيْنَ وَاَنْ تُخَلِّدَ فِيْهَا الْمُعَانِدِيْنَ وَاَنْتَ جَلَّ ثَنَآؤُكَ قُلْتَ مُبْتَدِئًا وَّتَطَوَّلْتَ بِالْاِنْعَامِ مُتَكَرِّمًا اَفَمَنْ كَانَ مُؤْمِنًا كَمَنْ كَانَ فَاسِقًا لَّا يَسْتَوُوْنَ اِلٰھِيْ وَسَيِّدِيْ فَاَسْئَلُكَ بِالْقُدْرَةِ الَّتِيْ قَدَّرْتَھَا وَبِالْقَضِيَّةِ الَّتِيْ حَتَمْتَھَا وَحَكَمْتَھَا وَغَلَبْتَ مَنْ عَلَيْهِ اَجْرَيْتَھَا اَنْ تَھَبَ لِيْ فِيْ ھٰذِهِ اللَّيْلَةِ وَفِيْ ھٰذِهِ السَّاعَةِ كُلَّ جُرْمٍ اَجْرَمْتُهٗ وَكُلَّ ذَنْبٍ اَذْنَبْتُهٗ وَكُلَّ قَبِيْحٍ اَسْرَرْتُهٗ وَكُلَّ جَھْلٍ عَمِلْتُهٗ كَتَمْتُهٗ اَوْاَعْلَنْتُهٗ اَخْفَيْتُهٗ اَوْ اَظْھَرْتُهٗ وَكُلَّ سَيِّئَةٍ اَمَرْتَ بِاِثْبَاتِهَا الْكِرَامَ الْكَاتِبِيْنَ الَّذِيْنَ وَكَّلْتَھُمْ بِحِفْظِ مَا يَكُوْنُ مِنِّيْ وَجَعَلْتَهُمْ شُهُوْدًا عَلَيَّ مَعْ جَوَارِحِيْ وَكُنْتَ اَنْتَ الرَّقِيْبَ عَلَيَّ مِنْ وَّرَائِھِمْ وَ الشَّاھِدَ لِمَا خَفِيَ عَنْھُمْ وَ بِرَحْمَتِكَ اَخْفَيْتَهٗ وَبِفَضْلِكَ سَتَرْتَهٗ وَاَنْ تُوَفِّرَحَظِّيْ مِنْ كُلِّ خَيْرٍ اَنْزَلْتَهٗ اَوْاِحْسَانٍ فَضَّلْتَهٗ اَوْبِرٍّنَشَرْتَهٗ اَوْرِزْقٍ بَسَطْتَّهٗ اَوْذَنْبٍ تَغْفِرُهٗ اَوْ خَطَآءٍ تَسْتُرُهٗ يَارَبِّ يَارَبِّ يَا رَبِّ يَآ اِلٰھِيْ وَسَيِّدِيْ وَ مَوْلَايَ وَمَالِكَ رِقِّيْ يَا مَنْ بِيَدِهٖ نَاصِيَتِيْ يَا عَلِيْـمًا بِضُرِّيْ وَمَسْكَنَتِيْ يَا خَبِيْرًا بِفَقْرِيْ وَفَاقَتِيْ يَارَبِّ يَارَبِّ يَا رَبِّ اَسْئَلُكَ بِحَقِّكَ وَقُدْسِكَ وَاَعْظَمِ صِفَاتِكَ وَاَسْمَآئِكَ اَنْ تَجْعَلَ اَوْقَاتِيْ فِي اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ بِذِكْرِكَ مَعْمُوْرَةً وَّبِخِدْمَتِكَ مَوْصُوْلَةً وَّاَعْمَالِيْ عِنْدَكَ مَقْبُوْلَةً حَتّٰي تَكُوْنَ اَعْمَالِيْ وَاَوْرَادِيْ كّلُّھَا وِرْدًا وَّاحِدًا وَّحَالِيْ فِيْ خِدْمَتِكَ سَرْمَدًا يَا سَيِّدِيْ يَا مَنْ عَلَيْهِ مُعَوَّ لِيْ يَا مَنْ اِلَيْهِ شَكَوْتُ اَحْوَالِيْ يَارَبِّ يَارَبِّ يَا رَبِّ قَوِّعَليٰ خِدْمَتِكَ جَوارِحِيْ وَاشْدُدْعَلَي الْعَزِيْمَةِ جَوَانِحِيْ وَھَبْ لِيَ الْجِدَّ فِيْ خَشْيَتِكَ وَ الدَّوَاَمَ فِي الْاِ تِّصَالِ بِخِدْمَتِكَ حَتّٰٓي اَسْرَحَ اِلَيْكَ فِيْ مَيَادِيْنِ السَّابِقِيْنَ وَاُسْرِعَ اَلِيْكَ فِي الْبَارِزِيْنَ وَاَشْتَاقَ اِلٰي قُرْبِكَ فِي الْمُشْتَاقِيْنَ وَاَدْنُوَمِنْكَ دُنُوَّ الْمُخْلِصِيْنَ وَ اَخَافَكَ مَخَافَةَ الْمُوْقِنِيْنَ وَاَجْتَمِعَ فِيْ جَوَارِكَ مَعَ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ اَللّٰھُمَّ وَ مَنْ اَرَادَنِيْ بِسُوْ ءٍ فَاَرِدْهُ وَمَنْ كَادَنِيْ فَكِدْهُ وَاجْعَلْنِيْ مِنْ اَحْسَنِ عَبِيْدِكَ نَصِيْبًا عِنْدَكَ وَ اَقْرَبِهِمْ مَّنْزِلَةً مِّنْكَ وَاَخَصِّهِمْ زُلْفَةً لَّدَيْكَ فَاِنَّهٗ لَا يُنَالُ ذٰلِكَ اِلَّا بِفَضْلِكَ وَجُدْلِيْ بِجُوْدِكَ وَ اعْطِفْ عَلَيَّ بِمَجْدِكَ وَاحْفَظْنِيْ بِرَحْمَتِكَ وَاجْعَلْ لِّسَانِيْ بِذِكِرْكَ لَھِجًا وَّقَلْبِيْ بِحُبِّكَ مُتَيَّـمًا وَّ مُنَّ عَلَيَّ بِحُسْنِ اِجَابَتِكَ وَاَقِلْنِيْ عَثْرَتِيْ وَاغْفِرْلِيْ زَلَّتِيْ فَاِنَّكَ قَضَيْتَ عَليٰ عِبَادِكَ بِعِبَادَتِكَ وَاَمَرْتَهُمْ بِدُعَآئِكَ وَضَمِنْتَ لَهُمْ الْاِ جَابَةَ فَاِلَيْكَ يَا رَبِّ نَصَبْتُ وَجْھِيْ وَاَلِيْكَ يَا رَبِّ مَدَدْتُ يَدِيْ فَبِعِزَّ تِكَ اسْتَجِبْ لِيْ دُعَآئِيْ وَ بَلِّغْنِيْ مُنَايَ وَلَا تَقْطَعْ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ رَجَآئِيْ وَاكْفِنِيْ شَرَّالْجِنِّ وَالْانْسِ مِنْ اَعْدَآئِيْ يَا سَرِيْعَ الِرّضَا اِغْفِرْ لِمَنْ لَّا يَمْلِكُ اِلَّا الدُّعَآءَ فَاِنَّكَ فَعَّالٌ لِّمَا تَشَآءُ يَا مَنِ اسْمُهٗ دَوَآءٌ وَّذِكْرُهٗ شِفَآءٌ وَّطَاعَتُهٗ غِنيً اِرْحَمْ مَّنْ رَّاْسُ مَالِهِ الرَّجَآءُ وَسِلَاحُهُ الْبُكَآءُ يَا سَابِغَ النِّعَمِ يَا دَافِعَ النِّقَمِ يَا نُوْرَ الْمُسْتَوْحِشِيْنَ فِي الظُّلَمِ يَا عَالِمًا لَّا يُعَلَّمُ صَلِّ عَليٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَّاٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَّافْعَلْ بِيْ مَا اَنْتَ اَھْلُهٗ وَصَلَّي اللّٰهُ عَليٰ رَسُوْلِهٖ وَالْاَئِمَّةِ الْمَيَامِيْنِ مِنْ اٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّمَ تَسْلِيْـمًا كَثْيًرا ط

In the Name of Allah, the All-merciful, the All-compassionate: O Allah, I ask You by Your mercy, which embraces all things; And by Your strength, through which You dominate all things, And toward which all things are humble And before which all things are ordinary; And by Your invincibility through which You overwhelms all things, And by Your might, which nothing can resist; And by Your tremendousness, which has filled all things; by Your force, which towers over all things; And by Your face, which subsists after the annihilation of all things, And by Your Names, which have filled the foundations of all things; And by Your knowledge, which encompasses all things; And by the light of Your face, through which all things are illuminated! O Light! O All-holy! O First of those who are first And O Last of those who are last! O Allah, forgive me for those of my sins which tear apart safeguards! O Allah, forgive me for those sins which draw down adversities! O Allah, forgive me for those sins which alter blessings! O Allah forgive me for those sins which hold back supplication! O Allah forgive me for those sins which cut down the hopes! O Allah, forgive me for those sins which draw down tribulation! O Allah, forgive me for every sin I have committed and for every mistake I have made! O Allah, verily I seek nearness to You through remembrance of You, And I seek intercession from You with Yourself, And I ask You through Your munificence to bring me near to Your proximity, And to provide me with gratitude towards You And to inspire me with Your remembrance.O Allah, verily I ask You with the asking of a submissive, abased and lowly man to show me forbearance, to have mercy on meAnd to make me satisfied and content with Your appointment and [make me] humble in every state. O Allah, I ask You the question of one whose indigence is extreme, And who has stated to You in difficulties his need And whose desire for what is with You has become great. O Allah, Your force is tremendous, Your place is lofty, And Your deception is hidden, Your command is manifest, And Your domination is overwhelming, Your power is unhindered And escape from Your governance is impossible. O Allah, I find no forgiver of my sins, Nor concealer of my ugly acts Nor transformer of any of my ugly acts into good acts but You There is no god but You! Glory be to You, and Thine is the praise! I have wronged myself, And I have been audacious in my ignorance And I have depended upon Your ancient remembrance of me and Your favour toward me. O Allah! O my Protector! How many ugly things You have concealed! How many burdensome tribulations You hast abolished! And how many stumbles You hast prevented! And how many ordeals You hast repelled! And how much beautiful praise, for which I was unworthy, You hast spread abroad! O Allah, my tribulation is tremendous, And my bad state is excessive, And my acts are inadequate, And my fetters have tied me down, And my far-fetched hopes have held me back from my gain And this world with its delusions, my own soul with its offences and my delay have deceived me. O my Master! So I ask You by Your might not to let my evil veil my supplication from You, And not to disgrace me through the hidden things You knowest of my secrets And not to hasten me to punishment for what I have done in private: My evil acts in secrecy and my misdeeds And my continuous negligence and my ignorance And my manifold passions and my forgetfulness. And by Your might, O Allah, be kind to me in all states And be gracious to me in all affairs! My God and my Lord! Have I any but You from whom to ask removal of my affliction and regard for my affairs! My God and my Protector! You put into effect through me a decree in which I followed the caprice of my own soul And [I] did not remain wary of adorning my enemy. So he deluded me through my soul's caprice and therein destiny favoured him So, in what was put into effect through me in that situation, I transgressed some of Your statutes And disobeyed some of Your commands. So Thine is the argument against me in all of that I have no argument in what Your destiny put into effect through me therein nor in what Your decree and Your tribulation imposed upon me. Now I have come to You, My God, with my shortcoming and my immoderation toward myself, Proffering my excuse, regretful, Broken, apologizing, Asking forgiveness, repenting, Acknowledging, submissive, confessing. I find no place to flee from what has occurred through me, Nor any place of escape to which I may turn in my affairs, Other than Your acceptance of my excuse and Your entering me into the compass of Your mercy. O Allah, so accept my excuse, Have mercy upon the severity of my affliction And release me from the tightness of my fetters, My Lord, have mercy upon the weakness of my body, the thinness of my skin and the frailty of my bones. O You who gave rise to my creation, to the remembrance of me, to the nurture of me, to goodness toward me and to nourishment on me, Bestow upon me for the sake of Your having given rise [to me] with generosity and Your previous goodness to me! O Allah, my Master and my Lord! Canst You see Yourself tormenting me with Your fire after I have professed Your Unity And after the knowledge of You my heart has embraced, And the remembrance of You my tongue has constantly mentioned And the love of You to which my mind has clung, And after the sincerity of my confession and my supplication, humble before Your lordship? Far be it from You! You art more generous than that You should squander him whom You hast nurtured, Or banish him whom You hast brought nigh, Or drive away him whom You hast given an abode Or submit to tribulation him whom You hast spared and shown mercy. Would that I knew, my Master, My God and my Protector, Whether You wilt give the Fire dominion over faces fallen down prostrate before Your Tremendousness, And over tongues voicing sincerely the profession of Your Unity and giving thanks to You in praise, And over hearts acknowledging Your Divinity through verification, And over minds encompassing knowledge of You until they have become humble And over bodily members speeding to the places of Your worship in obedience and beckoning for Your forgiveness in submission. No such opinion is held of You! Nor has such been reported - thanks to Your bounty — concerning You, O All-generous! My Lord, And You knowest my weakness before a little of this world's tribulations and punishments, And before those ordeals which befall its inhabitants, Even though it is a tribulation and ordeal whose stay is short, whose subsistence is but little and, whose period is but fleeting.So how can I endure the tribulations of the next world and the great ordeals that occur within it? For it is a tribulation whose period is long, whose station endures and whose sufferers are given no respite, Since it only occurs as a result of Your wrath, Your vengeance and Your anger, And these cannot be withstood by the heavens and the earth. O Master, so what about me?! For I am Your weak, lowly, base, wretched and miserable slave. My God! My Lord! My Master! My Protector! For which things would I complain to You? And for which of them would I lament and weep? For the pain and severity of chastisement? Or for the length and period of tribulation? So if You takest me to the punishments with Your enemies, And gatherest me with the people of Your tribulation And separatest me from Your friends and saints, Then suppose, My God, my Master, my Protector and my Lord that I am able to endure Your chastisement, How can I endure separation from You? And suppose that I am able to endure the heat of Your fire, How can I endure not gazing upon Your generosity? Or how can I dwell in the Fire while my hope is Your pardon? So by Your might, my Master and my protector, I swear sincerely, if You leavest me with speech, I will lament to You from the midst of the Fire's inhabitants with lamentation of the hopeful; I will cry to You with the cry of those crying for help; I will weep to You with the weeping of the bereft; And I will call to You, Where art You, O Sponsor of the believers, O Goal of the hopes of Your knowers, O Aid of those who seek assistance, O Friend of the hearts of the sincere And O God of all the world's inhabitants! Canst You see Yourself — Glory be to You My God, and Thine is the praised — hearing within the Fire the voice of a slave surrendered to You, Imprisoned there because of his violations, Tasting the favour of its torment because of his disobedience, And confined within its levels because of his sin and crime, While he laments to You with the lament of one hopeful for Your mercy, And calls to You with the tongue of those who profess Your Unity And entreats You by Your lordship! My Protector, so how should he remain in the chastisement, while he has hope for Your previous clemency? Or how should the Fire cause him pain while he expects Your bounty and mercy? Or how should its flames burn him, while You hears his voice and sees his place? Or how should its groaning encompass him, while You knows his weakness? Or how should he be convulsed among its levels, while You knows his sincerity? Or how should its keepers torture him while he calls out to You, O Lord? Or how should he have hope of Your bounty in freeing him from it, while You abandons him within it? Far be it from You! That is not what is expected of You, Nor what is well-known of Your bounty, Nor it is similar to the goodness and kindness You hast shown to those who profess Your Unity. So I declare with certainty that were it not for what You hast decreed concerning the chastisement of Your deniers And what You hast foreordained concerning the everlasting home of those who stubbornly resist, You wouldst make the Fire, all of it, coolness and safety, And no one would have a place of rest or abode within it. But You—holy are Your Names—hast sworn that You wilt fill it with the unbelievers, Both Jinn and men together, And that You wilt place those who stubbornly resist therein forever. And You— majestic is Your eulogy— said at the beginning and went gracious through kindness as a favor, (What? Is he who has been believer like unto him who has been ungodly? They are not equal) My God and my Master! So I ask You by the power You hast apportioned And by the decision which You hast determined and imposed and through which You hast overcome him toward whom it has been put into effect, That You forgivest me in this night and at this hour Every offence I have committed, And every sin I have performed, And every folly I have enacted Whether I have hidden or announced it, Or I have concealed it or manifested it And every evil act which You hast commanded the Noble Writers to record, Those whom You hast appointed to watch over what appears from me And whom You hast made, along with my bodily members, witness against me. And You wast Yourself the Watcher over me from behind them, And the Witness of what is hidden from them But through Your mercy You concealed it And through Your bounty You veiled it. [And I ask You] that You bestowest upon me an abundant share of every good You sendest down, Or kindness You confreres, Or goodness You unfolds, Or provision You spreads out, Or sin You forgives, Or error You covers. My Lord! My Lord! My Lord! My God! My Master! My Protector! Owner of my bondage! O He in whose hand is my forelock! O He who knows my affliction and my misery! O He who is aware of my poverty and indigence! My Lord! My Lord! My Lord! I ask You by Your Truth and Your Holiness And the greatest of Your Attributes and Names, That You makest my times in the night and the day inhabited by Your remembrance, And joined to Your service And my works acceptable to You, So that my works and my litanies may all be a single litany And my occupation with Your service everlasting. My Master! O He upon whom I depend! O He to whom I complain about my states! My Lord! My Lord! My Lord! Strengthen my bodily members in Your service, And fortify my ribs in determination And bestow upon me earnestness in my fear of You And continuity in my being joined to Your service So that I may move easily toward You in the battlefields of the foremost And hurry to You among the prominent And desire fervently Your proximity among the fervently desirous And move nearer to You with the nearness of the sincere And fear You with the fear of those who have certitude And gather with the believers in Your vicinity. O Allah, whoever desires evil for me, desire [it] for him! whoever deceives me-deceive him! And make me one of the most excellent of Your slaves in Portion from You, And the nearest of them in station to You And the most elected of them in proximity to You. For that cannot be attained except by Your bounty. And grant generously to me through Your munificence, And incline toward me with Your splendor And protect me with Your mercy! And make my tongue remember You without ceasing And my heart enthralled by Your love! And be gracious to me by answering me favorably, And nullify my slips And forgive my lapses! For You hast decreed Your worship for Your servants And commanded them to supplicate You And assured them that they would be answered. So toward You, my Lord, I have turned my face And toward You, my Lord, I have extended my hand. So by Your might, comply with my supplication And make me attain my desires! Do not severe my hoping for Your Favors And spare me the evil of my enemies from among the jinn and men! O He, whose pleasure is quickly achieved! Forgive him who owns nothing but supplication For You dost what You wilt. O He whose Name is a remedy, And whose remembrance is a cure, And whose obedience is wealth! Have mercy upon him whose capital is hope And whose weapon is tears! O Ample in blessings! O Repeller of adversities! O Light of those who are lonely in the darkness! O Knower who was never taught! Bless Muhammad and Muhammad's household! And do with me what is worthy of You! And Allah bless His messenger and the holy Imams of his household And give them abundant peace!
According to Allama Majlesi, Kumayl ibn Ziyad, a confidante of Ali ibn Abi Talib had attended an assembly in the Mosque at Basra which was addressed by Imam Ali in the course of which the night of the 15th of Sha'aban (a month) was mentioned. Ali said "Whosoever keeps awake in devoutness on this night and recites the Du'a of Prophet Khidhr, undoubtedly that person's supplication will be responded to and granted." When the assembly at the Mosque had dispersed, Kumayl called at the house where Ali was staying, and requested him to acquaint him with Prophet Khidhr's supplication. Ali asked Kumayl to sit down, record and memorise the du'a which he dictated to Kumayl. Ali then advised Kumayl ibn Ziyad to recite this du'a on the eve of (i.e. evening preceding) every Friday, or once a month or at least once in every year so that, added Ali, "Allah may protect thee from the evils of the enemies and the plots contrived by impostors. O' Kumayl! in consideration of thy companionship and understanding, I grant thee this honour of entrusting this du'a to thee."
