Read dua e tauba (Ahl-e-Bait a.s)

اَللّٰھُمَّ يَامَنْ لَا يَصِفُهُ نَعْتُ الْوَصِفِيْنَ وَيَامَنْ لَا يُجَاوِزْهُ رَجَآئُ الرَّاجِيْنَ وَيَامَنْ لَا يَضِيْعُ لَدَيْهِ اَجْرُ الْمُحْسِنِيْنَ وَيَامَنْ ھُوَ مُنْتَھٰي خَوْفِ الْعَابِدِيْنَ وَيَامَنْ ھُوَ غَايَةُ خَشْيَةِ الْمُتَّقِيْنَ ھٰذَا مَقَامُ مَنْ تَدَاوَلَتْهُ اَيْدِي الذُّنُوْبِ وَقَادَتْهُ اَزِمَّةُ الْخَطَا يَا وَاْسَتَحْوَذَ عَلَيْهِ الشَّيْطَانُ فَقَصَّرَ عَمَّا اَمَرْتَ بِهِ تَفْرِيْطًا وَتَعَاطٰي مَا نَھَيْتَ عَنْهُ تَعْزِيْرًا كَالْجَاھِلِ بِقُدْرَتِكَ عَلَيْهِ اَوْ كَالْمُنْكَرِ فَضْلَ اِحْسَانِكَ اِلَيْهِ حَتّٰيٓ اِذَا انْفَتَحَ لَهُ بَصَرُ الْھُدٰي وَتَقَشَّعَتْ عَنْهُ سَحَآئِبُ الْعَمٰي اَحْصٰي مَا ظَلَمَ بِهِ نَفْسَهُ وَفَكَّرَ فِيْمَا خَالَفَ بِهِ رَبَّهُ فَرَاٰي كَبِيْرَ عِصْيَانِهِ كَبِيْرًا وَجَلِيْلَ مُخَالَفَتِهِ جَلِيْلًا فَاَقْبَلَ نَحْوَكَ مُؤَمِّلًا لَكَ مُسْتَجِيْبًا مِنْكَ وَوَجَّهَ رَغْبَتَهُ اِلَيْكَ ثِقَةً بِكَ فَاَمَّكَ بِطَمَعِهِ يَقِيْنًا وَقَصَدَكَ بِخَوْفِهِ اِخْلَاصًا قَدْ خَلَا طَمَعُهُ مِنْ كُلِّ مَطْمُوْعٍ فِيْهِ غَيْرِكَ وَ اَفْرَخَ رَوْعُهُ مِنْ كُلِّ مَحْذُوْرٍ مِنْهُ سِوَاكَ فَمَثَلَ بَيْنَ يَدَيْكَ مُتَضَرِّعًا وَغَمَّضَ بَصَرَهُ اِلَي الْأَرْضِ مُثَخَشِّعًا وَطَأْطَأَ رَاْسُهُ لِعِزَّتِكَ مُتَذَلِّلاً وَاَبَثَّكَ مِنْ سِرِّهِ مَآ اَنْتَ اَعْلَمُ بِهِ مِنْهُ خُضُوْعًا وَ عَدَّدَ مِنْ ذُنُوْبِهِ مَآ اَنْتَ اَحْصٰي لَھَا خُشُوْعًا وَاسْتَغَاثَ بِكَ مِنْ عَظِيْمِ مَا وَقَعَ بِهِ فِيْ عِلْمِكَ وَقَبِيْحِ مَا فَضَحَهُ فِيْ حُكْمِكَ مِنْ ذُنُوْبٍ اَذْبَرَتْ لَذَّاتُھَا فَذَھَبَتْ وَاَقَامَتْ تَبِعَاتُھَا فَلَزِمَتْ لَا يُنْكِرُ يَا اِلٰھِيْ عَدْلَكَ اِنْ عَاقَبْتَهُ وَلَا يَسْتَعْظِمُ عَفْوَكَ اِنْ عَفَوْتَ عَنْهُ وَرَحْمِتَهُ لِأَنَّكَ الرَّبُّ الْكَرِيْمُ الَّذِيْ لَا يَتَعَاظَمُهُ غُفْرَانُ الذَّنْبِ الْعَظِيْمِ اَللّٰھُمَّ فَھَآ اَنَا ذَاقَدْ جِئْتُكَ مُطِيْعًا لِأَمْرِكَ فِيْمَآ اَمَرْتَ بِهِ مِنَ الدُّعَآئِ مُتَنَجِّزًا وَعْدَكَ فِيْمَا وَعَدْتَ بِهِ مِنَ الْأِجَابَةِ اِذْ تَقُوْلُ اُدْعُوْنِيْٓ اَسْتَجِبْ لَكُمْ اَللّٰھُمَّ فَصَلِّ عَلٰي مُحَمَّدٍ وَ اٰ لِهِ وَالْقَنِيْ بِمَغْفِرَتِكَ كَمَا اَلْقِيْتُكَ بِاِقْرَارِيْ وَارْفَعْنِيْ عَنْ مَصَارِعِ الذُّنُوْبِ كَمَا وَضَعْتُ لَكَ نَفْسِيْ وَاسْتُرْنِيْ بِسِتْرِكَ كَمَا تََاَنَّيْتَنِيْ عَنِ الْأِنْتِقَامِ مِنِّيْ اَللّٰھُمَّ وَثَبِّتْ فِيْ طَاعَتِكَ نِيَّتِيْ وَاَحْكِمْ فِيْ عِبَادَتِكَ بَصِيْرَتِيْ وَوَفِّقْنِيْ مِنَ الْاَعْمَالِ لِمَا تَغْسِلُ بِهِ دَنَسَ الْخَطَا يَا عَنِّيْ وَتَوَفَّنِيْ عَلٰي مِلَّتِكَ وَمِلَّةِ نَبِيِّكَ مُحَمَّدٍ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ اِذَا تَوَفَّيْتَنِيْ اَللّٰھُمَّ اِنِّيٓ اَتُوْبُ اِلَيْكَ فِيْ مَقَامِيْ ھٰذَا مِنْ كَبَآئِرِ ذُنُوْبِيْ وَصَغَآئِرِھَا وَبَوَاطِنِ سَيِّئَاتِيْ وَظَوَاھِرِھَا وَسَوَالِفِ ذَلَاتِيْ وَحَوَادِثِھَا تَوْبَةَ مَنْ لَا يُحَدِّثُ نَفْسَهُ بِمَعْصِيَةٍ وَلَا يُضْمِرُاَنْ يَعُوْدَ فِيْ خَطِيْئٓةٍ وَقَدْ قُلْتَ يَآ اِلٰھِيْ فِيْ مُحْكَمِ كِتَابِكَ اِنَّكَ تَقْبَلُ التَّوْبَةَ عَنْ عِبَادِكَ وَتَعْفُوْ عَنِ السَّيِّئَاتِ وَتُحِبُّ التَّوَّابِيْنَ فَاَقْبَلْ تَوْبَتِيْ كَمَا وَعَدْتَ وَاعْفُ عَنْ سَيِّئَاتِيْ كَمَا ضَمِنْتَ وَاَوْجِبْ لِيْ مَحَبَّتَكَ كَمَا شَرَطْتَ وَلَكَ يَارَبِّ شَرْطِيْ اَلَّآ اَعُوْدَ فِيْ مَكْرُوْھِكَ وَضَمَآنِيْ اَلَّآ اَرْجِعَ فِيْ مَذْمُوْمِكَ وَعَھْدِيٓ اَنْ اَھْجَرَ جَمِيْعَ مَعَاصِيْكَ اَللّٰھُمَّ اِنَّكَ اَعْلَمُ بِمَا عَمِلْتُ فَاغْفِرْلِيْ مَا عَلِمْتَ وَاصْرِفْنِيْ بِقُدْرَتِكَ اِلٰي مَآ اَحْبَبْتَ اَللّٰھُمَّ وَعَلَيَّ تَبِعَاتٌ قَدْ حَفِظْتُھُنَّ وَتِبَعَاتٌ قَدْ نَسِيْتُھُنَّ وَكُلُّھُنَّ بِعَيْنِكَ الَّتِيْ لَا تَنَامُ وَعَلْمِكَ الَّذِيْ لَا يَنْسٰي فَعَوِّضْ مِنْھَآ اَھْلَھَا وَاحْطُطْ عَنِّيْ وِزْرَھَا وَ خَفِّفْ عَنِّيْ ثِقْلَھَا وَاعْصِمْنِيْ مِنْ اَنْ اُقَارِفَ مِثْلَھَا اَللّٰھُمَّ وَاِنَّهُ لَا وَفَآئَ لِيْ بِالتَّوْبَةِ اِلّاَ بِعَصْمَتِكَ وَلَا اسْتِمْسَاكَ بِيْ عَنِ الْخَطَا يَا اِلّاَ عَنْ قُوَّتِكَ فَقَوِّنِيْ بِقُوَّةٍ كَافِيَةٍ وَتَوَلَّنِيْ بِعِصْمَةٍ مَانِعََةٍ اَللّٰھُمَّ اَيُّمَا عَبْدٍ تَابَ اِلَيْكَ وَھُوَ فِيْ عِلْمِ الْغَيْبِ عِنْدَكَ فَاسِخٌ لِتَوْبَتِهِ وَعَآئِدٌ فِيْ ذَنْبِهِ وَخَطِئٓتِهِ الْجَبَابِرَةَ وَالْكَفَرَةَ مصباح الزائر فَاِنِّيٓ اَعُوْذُ بِكَ اَنْ اَكُوْنَ كَذَالِكَ فَاجْعَلْ تَوْبَتِيْ ھٰذِهِ تَوْبَةً لَآ اَحْتَاجُ بَعْدَھَآ اِلٰي تَوْبَةٍ تَوْبَةً مَوْجِبَةً لِمَحْوِ مَا سَلَفَ وَالسَّلَامَةِ فِيْمَا بَقِيَ اَللّٰھُمَّ اِنِّيْٓ اَعْتَذِرُ اِلَيْكَ مِنْ جَھْلِيْ وَاسْتَوْھِبْكَ سُوٓئَ فِعْلِيْ فَاضْمُمْنِيْٓ اِلٰي كَيْفِ رَحْمَتِكَ تَطَوُّلًا وَاسْتُرْنِيْ بِسِتْرِ عَافِيَتِكَ تَفَضُّلًا اَللّٰھُمَّ وَاِنِّيٓ اَتُوْبُ اِلَيْكَ مِنْ كُلِّ مَا خَالَفَ اِرَادَتَكَ اَوْ زَالَ عَنْ مَحَبَّتِكَ مِنْ خَطَرَاتِ قَلْبِيْ وَلَحَظَاتِ عَيْنِيْ وَحِكَايَاتِ لِسَانِيْ تَوْبَةً تَسْلَمُ بِھَا كُلُّ جَارِحَةٍ عَلٰي حِيَالِھَا مِنْ تَبِعَاتِكَ وَتَاْمَنُ مِمَّا يَخَافُ الْمُعْتَدُوْنَ مِنْ اَلِيْمِ سَطَوَاتِكَ اَللّٰھُمَّ فَارْحَمْ وَحْدَتِيْ بَيْنَ سَدَيْكَ وَوَجِيْبَ قَلْبِيْ مِنْ خَشْيَتِكَ وَاضْطِرَابَ اَرْكَانِيْ مِنْ ھَيْبَتِكَ فَقَدْ اَقَامَتْنِيْ يَارَبِّ ذُنُوْبِيْ مَقَامَ الْخِزْيِ بِفِنَآئِكَ فَاِنْ سَكَتُّ لَمْ يَنْطِقْ عَنِّيْ اَحَدٌ وَاِنْ شَفَعْتُ فَلَسْتُ بِاَھْلِ الشَّفَاعَةِ اَللّٰھُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰي مُحَمَّدٍ وَاٰ لِهِ وَشَفِّعْ فِيْ خَطَايَايَ كَرَمَكَ وَعُدْ عَلٰي سَيِّئَاتِيْ بِعَفْوِكَ وَلَا تَجْرِنِيْ جَزَآئِيْ مِنْ عُقُوْبَتِكَ وَابْسُطْ عَلَيَّ طَوْلَكَ وَجَلِّلْنِيْ بِسِتْرِكَ وَافْعَلْ بِيْ فِعْلَ عَزِيْزٍ تَضَرَّعَ اِلَيْهِ عَبْدٌ ذَلِيْلٌ فَرَحِمَهُ اَوْ غَنِيٍّ تَعَرَّضَ لَهُ عَبْدٌ فَقِيْرٌ فَنَعَشَهُ اَللّٰھُمَّ لَا خَفِيْرَ لِيْ مِنْكَ فَلْيَخْفُرْنِيْ عِزُّكَ وَلَا شَفِيْعَ لِيْٓ اِلَيْكَ فَلْيَشْفَعْ لِيْ فَضْلُكَ وَقَدْ اَوْجَلَتْنِيْ خَطَايَايَ فَلْيُؤْمِنِّيْ عَفْوُكَ فَمَا كُلُّ مَا نَطَقْتُ بِهِ عَنْ جَھْلٍ مِنِّيْ بِسُوْٓئِ اَثَرِيْ وَلَا نِسْيَانٍ لِمَا سَبَقَ مِنْ ذَمِيْمِ فِعْلِيْ لَكِنْ لِتَسْمَعَ سَمَآؤُكَ وَمَنْ فِيْھَا وَاَرْضُكَ وَمَنْ عَلَيْھَا مَآ اَظْھَرْتُ لَكَ مِنَ النَّدَمِ وَلَجَاْتُ اِلَيْكَ فِيْهِ مِنَ التَّوْبَةِ فَلَعَلَّ بَعْضَھُمْ بِرَحْمَتِكَ يَرْحَمُنِيْ بِسُوٓئٍ مَوْقِفِيْ اَوْ تُدْرِكُهُ الرِّقَةُ عَلَيَّ لِسُوٓئٍ حَالِيْ فَيَنَالَنِيْ مِنْهُ بِدَعْوَةٍ ھِيَ اَسْمَعُ لَدَيْكَ مِنْ دُعَآئِيْ اَوْ شَفَاعَةٍ اَوْ كَدُ عِنْدَكَ مِنْ شَفَاعَتِيْ تَكُوْنُ بِھَا نَجَاتِيْ مِنْ غَضَبِكَ وَفَوْزِيْ بِرِضَاكَ اَللّٰھُمَّ اِنْ يَكُنِ النَّدَمُ تَوْبَةً اِلَيْكَ فَاَنَا اَنْدَمُ النَّادِمِيْنَ وَاِنْ يَكُنِ التَّرْكُ لِمَعْصِيَتِكَ اِنَابَةً فَاَنَا اَوَّلُ الْمُنِيْبِيْنَ وَاِنْ يَكُنِ الْأِسْتِغْفَارُ حِطَّةً لِلذُّنُوْبِ فَاِنِّيْ لَكَ مِنَ الْمُسْتَغْفِرِيْنَ اَللّٰھُمَّ فَكَمَآ اَمَرْتَ بِالتَّوْبَةِ وَضَمِنْتَ الْقَبُوْلَ وَحَثَثْتَ عَلَي الدُّعَآئِ وَوَعَدْتَ الْأِجَابَةَ فَصَلِّ عَلٰي مُحَمَّدٍ وَ اٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَاقْبَلْ تَوْبَتِيْ وَلَا تُرْجِعْنِيْ مَرْجَعَ الْخَيْبَةِ مِنْ رَحْمَتِكَ اِنَّكَ اَنْتَ التَّوَّابُ عَلَي الْمُذْنِبِيْنَ وَالرَّحِيْمُ لِلْخَاطِئِيْنَ الْمُنِيْبِيْنَ اَللّٰھُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰي مُحَمَّدٍ وَاٰ لِهِ كَمَا ھَدَيْتَنَا بِهِ وَصَلِّ عَلٰي مُحَمَّدٍ وَاٰ لِهِ كَمَا اسْتَنْقَذْ تَنَابِهِ وَصَلِّ عَلٰي مُحَمَّدٍ وَاٰ لِهِ صَلٰوةً تَشْفَعُ لَنا يَوْْمَ الْقِيٰمَةِ وَيَوْمَ الْفَاقَةِ اِلَيْكَ اِنَّكَ عَلٰي كُلِّ شَيْئٍ قَدِيْرٌ وَھُوَ عَلَيْكَ يَسِيْرٌ۔

Transliteration:
bis-mil-lahir-rah-manir-rahim allahumma ya mal-la yasifuhu na'-tul-wasifin wa ya mal-la yujawizuhu raja-ur-rajin wa ya mal-la yaziu' laday-hi aj-rul-muh-sinin wa ya man huwa muntaha khaw-fil-a'abidin wa ya man huwa ghayatu khash-yatil-mut-taqin hadha maqamu man tadawalat-hu ay-didh-dhunub wa qadat-hu azim-matul-khataya was-tah-wadha `alayhish-shaytan faqas-sara `amma amar-ta bihi taf-rita wa ta'ata ma nahayta `an-hu ta'-zira kal-jahili biqud-ratika `ailayh aw kal-munkiri fazli ih-sanika ilayh hat-ta idhan-fataha lahu basarul-huda wa taqash-sha't `anhu saha-ibul-a'ma ah-sa ma zalama bihi naf-sah wa fak-kara fima khalafa fihi rab-bah fara kabira i's-yanihi kabira wa jalila mukha-lafatihi jalila fa-aq-bala nah-waka muammilal-laka mus-tah-yiyam-mink wa waj-jaha ragh-batahu ilay-ka thiqatam bik fammaka bitab-i'hi yaqina wa qasadaka bi-khaw-fihi ikh-lasan qad khala tamau'hu min kul-li mat-mui'n fihi ghayruk wa af-raja raw-a'hu min kul-li mah-dhurim-minhu si-wak fa-mathala bayna yaday-ka mutazar-ria'a wa ghammaza basarahu ilal-ar-zi mutakhash-shia'a wa ta-ta ra-sahu li-i'z-zatika mutadhal-lila wa abath-thaka min sir-rihi ma anta a'-lamu bihi minhu khuzua'a wa `ad-dada min dhunubihi ma anta ah-sa laha khushua'a was-taghatha bika min a'zimi ma waqa' bihi fi i'l-mik wa qabihi ma fazahahu fi huk-mik min dhunubin ad-barat ladh-dhatuha fadhahabat wa aqamat tabi-a'atuha fa-lazi-mat la yunkiru ya ilahi `ad-laka in `aaqab-tahu wa-la yas-ta'-simu `af-waka `an-hu an `afaw-ta `an-hu wa rahim-tah li-an-nakar-rab-bul-karimul-ladhi la yata'a-zamuhu ghuf-ranudh-dhambil-a'zim allahumma faha na dha qad ji-tuka muti-ya'al-li-am-rika fima amar-ta bihi minad-du`a’i mutanaj-ji-aw-wa'-daka fima wa'd-ta bihi minal-ijabati idh taqul ud-o'oni as-tajib lakum allahumma fasal-li `ala muhammad wa al-qani bimagh-firatika kama laqituka bi-iq-rari war-fa'-ni `am-masarii'dh-dhunubi kama waza'-tu laka naf-si was-tur-ni bisit-rika kama tan-nay-tani `anil-intiqami min-ni allahumma wa thab-bit fi ta'tika niy-yati wa ah-kim fi i'badatika basirati wa waf-fiq-ni ilal-a'-mali ma tagh-silu biha danasal-khataya `an-ni wa tawaf-fani `ala mil-latika wa mil-lati nabi-yika muhammadin `alayih-s-salamu idha tawaf-faytani allahumma in-ni atubu ilayka fi maqami hadha min kaba-iri dhun|ubi wa sagha-iriha wa bawa-tini say-yiwati wa zawa-hiriha wa sawa-lifi zal-lati wa hawadithiha tawbata mal-la yuhad-dithu naf-sahu bima'-si-yah wa-la yuzmiru ay-yao'oda fi khati-ah wa qad qul-ta ya ilahi fi muh-kami kitabik in-naka taq-balut-tawbata `an i'badik wa ta`-fu `anis-say-yi’at wa tuhib-but-taw-wabin faq-bal tawbati kama wa'd-ta wa a'-fu `an say-yiwati kama zaminta wa aw-jib li mahab-bataka kama sharat-ta wa laka ya rab-bi shar-ti al-la ao'oda fi mak-ruhika wa zamani al-la ar-jia' fi madhmumik wa `ah-di an ah-jura jami-ya' ma'asik allahumma in-naka a'-lamu bima `amil-tu fagh-fir li ma `alim-ta was-rif-ni biqud-ratika ila ma ah-bab-t allahumma wa `alay-ya tabia'atun qad hafiz-tuhun-na watabia'atun qad nasi-tuhun-na wa kul-luhun-na bi-a'ynikal-lati la tanamu wa i'l-mikal-ladhi la yan-sa fa'w-wiz minha ah-laha wah-tut `an-ni wizraha wa khaf-fif `an-ni thiq-laha wa a'-sim-ni min an uqarifa mith-laha allahumma wa in-nahu la wafa-a li bit-tawbati il-la bi-i's-matika wa-las-tim-saka bi `anil-khataya il-la `an qu-watik faqaw-wini biqu-watin kafi-yah wa tawal-lani bi-i's-matim-mania'h allahumma ay-yuma `ab-din taba ilayka wa huwa fi i'l-mil-ghaybi i'ndaka fasikhul-litawbatihi wa `a-idun fi dham-bihi wa khati-atih fain-ni ao'odhu bika an akuna kadhalik faj-`al tawbati hadhihi la-a ah-taju ba'-daha ila tawbah. tawbatam-mujibatal-limah-wi ma salafa was-salamati fima baqi-ya allahum-ma in-ni a'-tadhiru ilayka min jah-li wa as-taw-hibuka suo-a fia'-li fazmum-ni ila kanafi rah-matika tataw-wula was-tur-ni bisit-ri `aafi-yatika tafaz-zula allahumma wa in-ni atubu ilayka min kul-li ma khalafa iradataka aw zala `am-mahab-batik min khatarati qal-bi wa lahazati `ayni wa hikayati lisani tawbatan tas-lamu biha kul-lu jarihatin `ala hiyaliha min tabia'atika wa ta-manu mimma yakhaful-mua'-taduna min alimi satawatik allahumma far-ham wah-dati bay-na yaday-k wa wajiba qal-bi min khash-yatik waztiraba ar-kani min haybatik faqad aqamat-ni ya rab-bi dhunubi maqamal-khizyi bi-fina-ik fain sakat-tu lam yantiq `an-ni ahad wa in shafa'-tu falas-tu bi-ah-lish-shafa'h allahumma sal-li `ala muhammadiw-wa a-li muhammad wa shaf-fia' fi khataya karamak wa u'd `ala say-yiwati bia'f-wik wa-la tajzini jaza-i min u'qubatik wab-sut `alay-ya taw-lak wa jal-lil-ni bisit-rik waf-a'l bi fia'-la `azi yin tazar-ra' ilayhi `ab-dun dhalilun farahimah aw ghani-yin ta'r-raza lahu `ab-dun faqirun fana'shah allahumma la khafira li minka fal-yakh-fir-ni i'z-zuk wa-la shafi-ya' li ilay-ka fal-yash-fa' li fazluk wa qad aw-jalat-ni khataya fal-yu-min-ni `af-wuk fama kul-lu ma nataq-tu bihi `an jah-lim-min-ni bisuo-i athari wa-la nis-yanil-lima sabaqa min dhamimi fi`li lakil-litas-ma' sama-uka wa man fiha wa ar-zuka wa man `alayha ma azhar-tu laka minan-nadami wa laja-tu ilayka fihi mint-tawbah fala'l-la ba'-zahum bi-rah-matika yar-hamuni min suo-i maw-qifi aw tud-rikuhur-riq-qatu `alay-ya bisuo-i hali fa-yanalani minhu bi-da'-watin hiya as-mau' laday-ka min dua'a-i aw-shafa'tin aw-kadu i'ndaka min shafa'ti takunu biha najati min ghazabika wa faw-zi bi-rizak allahumma iyakun-nadamu tawbatan ilayka fa-ana andamun-nadimin wa i-yakunit-tar-ku lima'-si-yatika inabatan fa-ana aw-walul-munibin wa i-yakunil-as-tigh-faru hit-tatal-lidh-dhunubi fa-in-ni laka minal-mus-tagh-firin allahumma fakama amar-ta bit-tawbati wa zamintal-qabul wa hathath-ta `alad-dua'a-i wa wa'd-tal-ijabah fasal-li `ala muhammadiw-wa a-li muhammad waq-bal tawbati wa-la tar-jia'-ni mar-jia'l-khaybati mir-rah-matik in-naka antat-taw-wabu `alal-mudhnibin, war-rahimu lil-khatinal-munibin allahumma sal-li `ala muhammadiw-wa a-li muhammadin kama haday-tana bih wasal-li `ala muhammadiw-wa a-lihi kamas-tanqadh-tana bih wasal-li `ala muhammadiw-wa a-li muhammadin salatan tash-fau' lana yaw-mal-qiyamati wa yaw-mal-faqati ilayk innaka `ala kulli shay-in qadir, wahuwa `ailayka yasir
Translation:
In the Name of Allah, the All-merciful, the All-compassionate O Allah, O He whom the depiction of the describers fails to describe! O He beyond whom passes not the hope of the hopers! O He with whom is not lost the wage of the good-doers! O He who is the ultimate object of the fear of the worshipers! O He who is the utmost limit of the dread of the god-fearing! This is the station of him whom sins have passed from hand to hand. Offenses' reins have led him on, And Satan has gained mastery over him. He fell short of what You are commanded through neglect And he pursued what You are prohibited in delusion, like one ignorant of Your power over him, or one who denies the bounty of Your beneficence toward him, until, when the eye of guidance was opened for him And the clouds of blindness were dispelled, he reckoned that through which he had wronged himself And reflected upon that in which he had opposed his Lord. He saw his vast disobedience as vast And his great opposition as great. So he turned to You, hoping in You And ashamed before You, and he directed his beseeching toward You, having trust in You. He repaired to You in his longing with certitude And he went straight to You in fear with sincerity. His longing was devoid of every object of longing but You, And his fright departed from every object of fear but You. So, he stood before You pleading, his eyes turned toward the ground in humbleness, his head bowed before Your might in lowliness; he revealed to You in meekness those secrets of his which You knowest better than he; he numbered for You in humility those sins of his which You countest better than he; he sought help from You before the dreadful into which he has fallen in Your knowledge, and the ugly which has disgraced him in Your judgment: the sins whose pleasures have turned their backs and gone and whose evil consequences have stayed and stuck fast. He will not deny Your justice, My God, if You punishest him, nor will he consider Your pardon great if You pardonest him and hast mercy upon him, for You are the Generous Lord for whom the forgiveness of great sins is nothing great! O Allah, so here I am: I have come to You obeying Your command for You commanded supplication And asking the fulfillment of Your promise, for You are promised to respond. You are said: “Supplicate Me and I will respond to you.” O Allah, so bless Muhammad and his Household meet me with Your forgiveness just as I have met You with my confession, lift me up from the fatal infirmities of sins just as I have let myself down before You, And cover me with Your covering just as You are shown no haste to take vengeance on me! O Allah, make firm my intention to obey You, strengthen my insight in worshiping You, give me the success of works which will wash away the defilement of offenses, and take me when You takest me in the creed of Your prophet Muhammad (upon him be peace). O Allah, I repent to You in this my station from my sins, great and small, my evil deeds, inward and outward, my lapses, past and recent, with the repentance of one who does not tell himself that he might disobey or secretly think that he might return to an offense. You are said, My God, in the firm text of Your Book, that You acceptest repentance from Your servants, pardonest evil deeds, And lovest the repenters, so accept my repentance as You are promised, pardon my evil deeds as You are guaranteed, And make obligatory toward me Your love as You are stipulated! To You, my Lord, belongs my stipulation that I will not return to what is disliked by You, my guarantee that I will not go back to what You blamest, And my covenant that I will stay away from acts of disobedience to You. O Allah, You knowest better what I have done, so forgive me what You knowest And turn me through Your power to what You lovest! O Allah, counted against me are claims that stay in my memory and claims that I have forgotten, while all of them remain in Your eye that does not sleep and Your knowledge that does not forget! So, compensate their owners, lighten their load upon me, lift up their weight from me, and preserve me from approaching their like! O Allah, but I can not be faithful to my repentance without Your preservation, nor can I refrain from offenses without Your strength. So strengthen me with a sufficient strength And attend to me with a defending preservation! O Allah, if any servant repents to You, while in Your knowledge of the Unseen he will break his repentance and return to his sin and offense, I seek refuge in You lest I be like that! So make this my repentance, a repentance after which I will need no repentance, and a repentance which will obligate the erasing of what has gone by and safety in what remains! O Allah, I ask pardon from You for my ignorance, And I ask You to disregard my evil acts! So join me to the shelter of Your mercy through graciousness And cover me with the covering of Your well-being through bounteousness! O Allah, I repent to You from everything opposed to Your will or far from Your love —the thoughts of my heart, the glances of my eye, the tales of my tongue with a repentance through which each bodily part will by itself stay safe from ill consequences with You and remain secure from Your painful penalties feared by transgressors! O Allah, so have mercy on my being alone before You, the pounding of my heart in dread of You, the trembling of my limbs in awe of You! My sins, My God, have stood me in the station of degradation in Your courtyard. If I remain silent, none will speak for me; if I seek an intercessor, I am not worthy for intercession. O Allah, bless Muhammad and his Household, make Your generosity intercede for my offenses, follow up my evil deeds with Your pardon, repay me not with the punishment that is my proper repayment, spread over me Your graciousness, wrap me in Your covering, And do with me what is done by a mighty man, when a lowly slave pleads to him and he shows him mercy, or a rich man when a poor slave submits himself and he raises him to wealth! O Allah, I have no protector against You, so let Your might be my protector! I have no intercessor with You, so let Your bounty be my intercessor! My offenses have set me quaking, so let Your pardon give me security! Not all that I have said rises up from my ignorance of my evil footsteps or forgetfulness of my blameworthy acts in the past, but in order that Your heaven and those within it And Your earth and those upon it may hear the remorse which I have professed to You and the repentance through which I have sought asylum with You. Then perhaps one of them, through Your mercy, may show mercy upon my evil situation or be seized by tenderness for my evil state. There may come from him for my sake a supplication to which You give ear more than to my supplication or an intercession surer with You than my intercession through which I may be delivered from Your wrath and attain to Your good pleasure! O Allah, if remorse is a repentance toward You, then I am the most remorseful of the remorseful! If refraining from disobedience is a turning back to You, then I am the first of those who turn back! If praying for forgiveness alleviates sins, surely I am one of those who pray for Your forgiveness! O Allah, as You are commanded repentance and guaranteed acceptance, as You are urged supplication, and promised to respond, so also bless Muhammad and his Household, accept my repentance, and return me not to the returning place of disappointment in Your mercy Surely, You are Ever-turning toward the sinners, All-compassionate toward the offenders who turn back! O Allah, bless Muhammad and his Household just as You are guided us by him! Bless Muhammad and his Household just as You are rescued us through him! Bless Muhammad and his Household with a blessing that will intercede for us on the Day of Resurrection, the day of neediness toward You! You are powerful over everything, and that is easy for You!
