Dua for the .5th hour of Day (All)

Description:

The fifth hour of the day, which is the space of time between midday and the amount of four units of prayer after midday, is dedicated to Imam Muhammad al-Baqir (a.s.). The supplication at this hour is as follows:

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

اَللّٰھُمَّ رَبَّ الضِّيَآئِ وَالْعَظَمَةِ وَالنُّوْرِ وَالْكِبْرِيَآئِ وَالسُّلْطَانِ تَجَبَّرْتَ بِعَظَمَةِ بِھَآئِكَ وَمَنَنْتَ عَلٰي عِبَادِكَ بِرَاْفَتِكَ وَرَحْمَتِكَ وَدَلَلْتَھُمْ عَلٰي مَوْجُوْدِ رِضاكَ وَجَعَلْتَ لَھُمْ دَلِيْلًا يَدُلُّھُمْ عَلٰي مَحَبَّتِكَ وَيُعَلِّمُھُمْ مَحَآبَّكَ وَيَدُلُّھُمْ عَلٰي مَشِيَّتِكَ اَللّٰھُمَّ فَبِحَقِّ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَلَيْھِمَا اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ وَاُقَدِّمُهٗ بَيْنَ يَدَيْ حَوَآئِجِيْ اَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلٰي مُحَمَّدٍ وَاٰ لِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَاَنْ تَفْعَلَ بِيْ كَذَا وَمَا كَذَا۔

Transliteration:

allahumma rabba alddiya'i wal`azamati walnnuri walkibriya'i walssultani tajabbarta bi`azamati baha'ika wa mananta `ala `ibadika bira'fatika wa rahmatika wa dalaltahum `ala mawjudi ridaka wa ja`alta lahum dalilan yadulluhum `ala mahabbatika wa yu`allimuhum mahabbaka wa yadulluhum `ala mashi'atika allahumma fabihaqqi muhammadi bni `aliyyin `alayhima alssalamu `alayka wa uqaddimuhu bayna yaday hawa'iji an tusalliya `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin…

Translation:

O Allah, O Lord of brightness, greatness, light, grandeur, and authority! You have practiced omnipotence in the greatness of Your brilliance, conferred upon Your servants with the favor of Your kindness and mercy, showed them where Your pleasure lies, and made for them a sign guiding them to Your love, teaching them the items that You love, and showing them Your volition. O Allah, in the name of the regard of Muhammad, the son of `Ali, peace be upon both of them, with You, I beseech You and I present him as my mediation for the settling of my needs, (please) send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad
