Translation:

O He who manages the wants of the needy, and is aware of that which is hidden in the heart of the silent sufferers! Every problem receives Your attention, and is settled well. O Allah, Your promises come true, Your favors are many, and Your Mercy is extensive, therefore, I beseech You to send blessings to Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad, and fulfill my desires in this world and in the world to come. Verily, You have power over all things.

Description:

It is recommended to say the following supplicatory prayer that Imam Ja’far al-Sadiq(a.s.) used to say everyday in Rajab:

Translation:

Those who come to anyone other than You have really gone wrong. Those who visit anyone other than You have missed the right way. Those who depend upon other than You have lost except those who depend upon You. Those who have had recourse to other than Your favors will have lived in poverty except those who have recourse to Your favors. Your door is always open before those who desire for You. Your wealth is always available for those who seek it. Your favors are always obtainable by those who ask for them. Your rewards are accessible for those who hope for them. Your sustenance is extended for even those who disobey You. Your forbearance is reachable for even those who antagonize You. Your habit is to do favor to the wrongdoers and Your custom is to overlook the transgressors. O Allah, (please do) lead me to the path of the well-guided ones, grant me the determination of the hardworking ones, do not include me with the unmindful ones who are dismissed (from Your mercy), and forgive me on the Judgment Day.

Translation:

O Allah, the Lord of the complete favors, the utter bounties, the immense mercy, the all-embracing power, the vast graces, the great bestowals, the nice gifts, and the abundant donations! O He Who is not resembled to anything, is not likened to any match, and is not overcome by any supported one! O He Who has created and then granted sustenance, has inspired to understand and then made speech, has made and then enacted laws, has risen high and then elevated, has estimated so perfectly, has shaped so excellently, has provided arguments so conclusively, has bestowed so completely, has granted so abundantly, and has conferred so favorably! O He Who has elevated so honorably that all sights have missed Him, and has approached so gently that He has passed all apprehensions! O He Who has possessed so incomparably that no peer can ever be found for Him in the domination of His power and has been so matchless in bounties and pride that nothing can oppose Him in the omnipotence of His situation! O He, the pride of Whose dignity has perplexed even the finest allusions and Whose greatness cannot be recognized by even the twinkling of the people’s sights! O He before Whose dignity all faces have humbled themselves, to Whose greatness all necks submitted, and Whom is feared by all hearts! I pray to You in the name of this piece of praise that none deserves save You, in the name of that which You have made incumbent upon Yourself for the believers who pray to You, and in the name of Your guaranteeing response for those who supplicate to You. O best hearer of all those who can hear! O best seer of all those who can see! O swiftest in calling to account! (Please do) bless Muhammad, the seal of the Prophets, and his Household, and grant us a portion of the best of that which You decide in this month, choose for me the best act that You decide, seal my life with happiness with which You seal the lives of others, adorn my whole life with abundant wealth, grasp my soul with happiness and forgiveness of my sins, be my Redeemer as regards the Interrogation of the Grave, protect me against Munkar and Nakir, let my eyes see Mubashshir and Bashir, cause the end of my march to be towards Your pleasure and Paradises, decide for me delightful living and big kingdom, and bless Muhammad and his Household very much.

O Allah: I beseech You in the name of those who were born in Rajab, Muhammad ibn `Ali II and his son `Ali ibn Muhammad, the divinely selected. And I seek nearness to You through both of them for they are the best means of nearness to You. O He from Whom favors are sought, and what He possesses is desired; I beseech You with the entreaty of him whom is enchained by his sins and is bound by his defects; therefore, he devoted himself to offenses and disasters have attacked him heavily. He is now begging You for accepting his repentance; and for good return from You; and for redeeming from punishment; and for releasing from Hellfire; and for overlooking the sins that are hanged to him. Certainly, You, O my Master, the greatest hope and desire that He has. And, O Allah, I beg You by all the holy means that You admit and by all the elevated courses that take to You, that You, in this month, encompass me with vast mercy of You, with abundant favors, and with satisfaction with what You have decided for myself until I am put in my final hole, which is my abode to the Hereafter and the Final Fate.

Description:

Sayyid Ibn Tawus has narrated that Muhammad ibn Dhakwan - known as al-Sajjad due to his remarkable, time-consuming prostration during which he used to weep so heavily that he lost his sight - asked Imam Ja’far al-Sadiq(a.s.), saying, “May Allah accept me as ransom for you! We are now in Rajab; I therefore please you to teach me a supplicatory prayer due to which Almighty Allah may help me.” Hence, the Imam (a.s.) asked him to write down the following:
