Aamal-e-sehar in the Holy month of Ramadan (Ramaḍān)

Description:

Numerous are the acts that are advisably practiced at the early dawn times of Ramadan:

First: It is highly advisably not to neglect having the early dawn meal (suhur) even if a single date or a drink of water are had. The best food in the early dawn meal is fine flour and dates. A Hadith reads that Almighty Allah and His angels bless those who implore for His forgiveness at the last hours of night and have the early dawn meal.”

 

Second: It is recommended to recite Surah al-Qadr at early dawn (sahar), for a Hadith reads that any believer who recites Surah al-Qadr at the early dawn meal and the breaking the fast meal (iftar) will be decided as sacrificing his blood for the sake of Almighty Allah between these two times.

Description:

The highly considerable supplicatory prayer known as Dua al-Baha’ is reported from Imam Ali ibn Musa al-Rida(a.s.) who said, “This is the supplicatory prayer that Imam al-Baqir (a.s.) used to say at the last hours of Ramadan nights.” It is as follows:

اللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّي اَسْاَلُكَ مِنْ بَهَائِكَ بِاَبْهَاهُ وَ كُلُّ بَهَائِكَ بَهِيٌّ اللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّي اَسْاَلُكَ بِبَهَائِكَ كُلِّهِ اللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّي اَسْاَلُكَ مِنْ جَمَالِكَ بِاَجْمَلِهِ وَ كُلُّ جَمَالِكَ جَمِيلٌ اللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّي اَسْاَلُكَ بِجَمَالِكَ كُلِّهِ اللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّي اَسْاَلُكَ مِنْ جَلالِكَ بِاَجَلِّهِ وَ كُلُّ جَلالِكَ جَلِيلٌ اللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّي اَسْاَلُكَ بِجَلالِكَ كُلِّهِ اللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّي اَسْاَلُكَ مِنْ عَظَمَتِكَ بِاَعْظَمِهَا وَ كُلُّ عَظَمَتِكَ عَظِيمَةٌ اللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّي اَسْاَلُكَ بِعَظَمَتِكَ كُلِّهَا اللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّي اَسْاَلُكَ مِنْ نُورِكَ بِاَنْوَرِهِ وَ كُلُّ نُورِكَ نَيِّرٌ اللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّي اَسْاَلُكَ بِنُورِكَ كُلِّهِ اللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّي اَسْاَلُكَ مِنْ رَحْمَتِكَ بِاَوْسَعِهَا وَ كُلُّ رَحْمَتِكَ وَاسِعَةٌ اللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّي اَسْاَلُكَ بِرَحْمَتِكَ كُلِّهَا اللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّي اَسْاَلُكَ مِنْ كَلِمَاتِكَ بِاَتَمِّهَا وَ كُلُّ كَلِمَاتِكَ تَامَّةٌ اللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّي اَسْاَلُكَ بِكَلِمَاتِكَ كُلِّهَا. اللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّي اَسْاَلُكَ مِنْ كَمَالِكَ بِاَكْمَلِهِ وَ كُلُّ كَمَالِكَ كَامِلٌ اللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّي اَسْاَلُكَ بِكَمَالِكَ كُلِّهِ اللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّي اَسْاَلُكَ مِنْ اَسْمَائِكَ بِاَكْبَرِهَا وَ كُلُّ اَسْمَائِكَ كَبِيرَةٌ اللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّي اَسْاَلُكَ بِاَسْمَائِكَ كُلِّهَا اللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّي اَسْاَلُكَ مِنْ عِزَّتِكَ بِاَعَزِّهَا وَ كُلُّ عِزَّتِكَ عَزِيزَةٌ اللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّي اَسْاَلُكَ بِعِزَّتِكَ كُلِّهَا اللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّي اَسْاَلُكَ مِنْ مَشِيَّتِكَ بِاَمْضَاهَا وَ كُلُّ مَشِيَّتِكَ مَاضِيَةٌ اللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّي اَسْاَلُكَ بِمَشِيَّتِكَ كُلِّهَا اللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّي اَسْاَلُكَ مِنْ قُدْرَتِكَ بِالْقُدْرَةِ الَّتِي اسْتَطَلْتَ بِهَا عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْ‏ءٍ وَ كُلُّ قُدْرَتِكَ مُسْتَطِيلَةٌ اللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّي اَسْاَلُكَ بِقُدْرَتِكَ كُلِّهَا اللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّي اَسْاَلُكَ مِنْ عِلْمِكَ بِاَنْفَذِهِ وَ كُلُّ عِلْمِكَ نَافِذٌ اللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّي اَسْاَلُكَ بِعِلْمِكَ كُلِّهِ اللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّي اَسْاَلُكَ مِنْ قَوْلِكَ بِاَرْضَاهُ وَ كُلُّ قَوْلِكَ رَضِيٌّ اللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّي اَسْاَلُكَ بِقَوْلِكَ كُلِّهِ اللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّي اَسْاَلُكَ مِنْ مَسَائِلِكَ بِاَحَبِّهَا اِلَيْكَ وَ كُلُّهَا  اِلَيْكَ حَبِيبَةٌ اللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّي اَسْاَلُكَ بِمَسَائِلِكَ كُلِّهَا. اللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّي اَسْاَلُكَ مِنْ شَرَفِكَ بِاَشْرَفِهِ وَ كُلُّ شَرَفِكَ شَرِيفٌ اللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّي اَسْاَلُكَ بِشَرَفِكَ كُلِّهِ اللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّي اَسْاَلُكَ مِنْ سُلْطَانِكَ بِاَدْوَمِهِ وَ كُلُّ سُلْطَانِكَ دَائِمٌ اللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّي اَسْاَلُكَ بِسُلْطَانِكَ كُلِّهِ اللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّي اَسْاَلُكَ مِنْ مُلْكِكَ بِاَفْخَرِهِ وَ كُلُّ مُلْكِكَ فَاخِرٌ اللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّي اَسْاَلُكَ بِمُلْكِكَ كُلِّهِ اللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّي اَسْاَلُكَ مِنْ عُلُوِّكَ بِاَعْلاهُ وَ كُلُّ عُلُوِّكَ عَالٍ اللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّي اَسْاَلُكَ بِعُلُوِّكَ كُلِّهِ اللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّي اَسْاَلُكَ مِنْ مَنِّكَ بِاَقْدَمِهِ وَ كُلُّ مَنِّكَ قَدِيمٌ اللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّي اَسْاَلُكَ بِمَنِّكَ كُلِّهِ اللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّي اَسْاَلُكَ مِنْ آيَاتِكَ بِاَكْرَمِهَا وَ كُلُّ آيَاتِكَ كَرِيمَةٌ اللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّي اَسْاَلُكَ بِآيَاتِكَ كُلِّهَا اللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّي اَسْاَلُكَ بِمَا اَنْتَ فِيهِ مِنَ الشَّأْنِ وَ الْجَبَرُوتِ وَ اَسْاَلُكَ بِكُلِّ شَأْنٍ وَحْدَهُ وَ جَبَرُوتٍ وَحْدَهَا اللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّي اَسْاَلُكَ بِمَا تُجِيبُنِي حِينَ اَسْاَلُكَ فَاَجِبْنِي يَا اللّٰهُ.

Translation:

O Allah, I ask You to give me from Your brilliance at its most splendrous, and all Your glories are radiantly brilliant. O Allah, I beseech You in the name of all Your glories. O Allah, I ask You to grant me from Your beauty at its utmost , and all Your beauties are beautiful. O Allah, I beseech You by all Your beauties. O Allah, I ask You to give me from Your majesty that gives grandeur, and all Your majestic powers are majestic. O Allah, I beseech You in the name of all Your majesty. O Allah, I ask You to give me from Your greatness at its greatest, and all Your greatness are great. O Allah, I beseech You in the name of all Your greatness. O Allah, I beseech You to give me from Your light at its utmost luminosity, and all Your Light is luminious. O Allah, I beseech You by all Your Light. O Allah, I ask You to give me from Your mercy at its utmost inclusiveness, and all Your mercy is inclusive. O Allah, I beseech You by all your mercy. O Allah, I ask You to give me from Your Words at their utmost completeness, and all Your words are complete O Allah, I beseech You by all Your Words. O Allah, I ask You to give me from Your perfections at their utmost perfectness and all Your perfections are perfect. O Allah, I beseech You by all Your perfections. O Allah, I ask You to give me from Your Names the greatest of them , and all Your Names are great. O Allah, I beseech You by all Your Names. O Allah, I beseech You to give me from Your might at its mightiest, and all Your might is mighty. O Allah, I beseech You by all your might. O Allah, I ask You to give me from Your Will at its utmost effectualness and all Your willing is effectual. O Allah, I beseech You by all Your Will. O Allah, I ask You to give me from Your that omnipotence which controls everything, and all your powers are prevailing. O Allah, I beseech You by all Your omnipotence. O Allah, I ask You to give me from Your knoweledge at its utmost pervasiveness, and all Your is pervasive. O Allah, I beseech You all by Your knowledge. O Allah, I ask You grant me from Your most admirable of sayings, and all Your sayings are admirable. O Allah, I beseech You by all Your sayings. O Allah, I beseech You to grant me from the most chersihed of requests made to You and all requests made to you are cherished. O Allah, I beseech You by all requests made to You. O Allah, I ask You to give me from Your dignity at its noblest, and all Your dignity is noble. O Allah, I beseech You by all Your dignity. O Allah, I ask You to grant me from Your most enduring authority, and all Your authority is enduring. O Allah, I beseech You by all Your authority. O Allah, I ask You to grant me from Your kingdom at its utmost magnificence, and all Your kingdom is magnificent. O Allah, I beseech You by Your entire kingdom. O Allah, I ask You to grant me from Your highness at its utmost sublimity and all Your eminence is sublime. O Allah, I beseech You by all Your highness. O Allah, I ask You to grant me from Your earliest of favours, and all Your bounties are pre eternal. O Allah, I beseech You by all Your bounties. O Allah, I ask You to grant me noblest of Your signs which gives out freely, and all Your signs are noble. O Allah, I beseech You by of all Your signs. O Allah, I ask You to give me whereby You exercises absolute authority and power, I beseech You by the works that engage You and Your prepotency, by every single work and every single prepotency. O Allah, I beseech You by that whereby You will answer my supplication So answer me, O Allah!

You may then submit your requests, for they will be completely settled, God willing.

Description:

يَا مَفْزَعِي عِنْدَ كُرْبَتِي وَ يَا غَوْثِي عِنْدَ شِدَّتِي اِلَيْكَ فَزِعْتُ وَ بِكَ اسْتَغَثْتُ وَ بِكَ لُذْتُ لا اَلُوذُ بِسِوَاكَ وَ لا اَطْلُبُ الْفَرَجَ اِلا مِنْكَ فَاَغِثْنِي وَ فَرِّجْ عَنِّي يَا مَنْ يَقْبَلُ الْيَسِيرَ وَ يَعْفُو عَنِ الْكَثِيرِ اقْبَلْ مِنِّي الْيَسِيرَ وَ اعْفُ عَنِّي الْكَثِيرَ اِنَّكَ اَنْتَ الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ اللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّي اَسْاَلُكَ اِيمَانا تُبَاشِرُ بِهِ قَلْبِي وَ يَقِينا حَتَّى اَعْلَمَ اَنَّهُ لَنْ يُصِيبَنِي اِلا مَا كَتَبْتَ لِي وَ رَضِّنِي مِنَ الْعَيْشِ بِمَا قَسَمْتَ لِي يَا اَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ يَا عُدَّتِي فِي كُرْبَتِي وَ يَا صَاحِبِي فِي شِدَّتِي وَ يَا وَلِيِّي فِي نِعْمَتِي وَ يَا غَايَتِي فِي رَغْبَتِي اَنْتَ السَّاتِرُ عَوْرَتِي وَ الْآمِنُ رَوْعَتِي وَ الْمُقِيلُ عَثْرَتِي فَاغْفِرْ لِي خَطِيئَتِي يَا اَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ.

Translation:

O my Safe haven at grievances! O my Aide at hardships! To You do I turn, Your help do I seek, and with You do I take refuge. I seek refuge with none save You and I beseech none for relief save You. So, (please) come to my help and free me from cares. O He Who accepts even the least efforts excuses the much wrongdoing! (Please do) accept my little effort excuse my much wrongdoing. Verily, You are the Oft-forgiving, Merciful (Lord). O Allah, I ask for faith with which You may fill my heart and for certitude so that I shall always know that nothing will afflict me save what You have ordained for me. (Please) make me feel satisfied with the living that You decide for me. O most Merciful of all those who show mercy! O my means at times of agonies! O my companion at times of hardships! O Source of my all bounties! O my ultimate goal whenever I desire for something! It is You Who is the concealer of my defects, Who secures me at times of horror, and Who overlooks my slips. So, (please do) forgive my sin. O most Merciful of all those who show mercy!

Description:

Shaykh al-Tusi has also mentioned the following supplicatory prayer to be said at the last hours of Ramadan nights:

يَا عُدَّتِي فِي كُرْبَتِي وَ يَا صَاحِبِي فِي شِدَّتِي وَ يَا وَلِيِّي فِي نِعْمَتِي وَ يَا غَايَتِي فِي رَغْبَتِي اَنْتَ السَّاتِرُ عَوْرَتِي وَ الْمُؤْمِنُ رَوْعَتِي وَ الْمُقِيلُ عَثْرَتِي فَاغْفِرْ لِي خَطِيئَتِي اللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّي اَسْاَلُكَ خُشُوعَ الْاِيمَانِ قَبْلَ خُشُوعِ الذُّلِّ فِي النَّارِ يَا وَاحِدُ يَا اَحَدُ يَا صَمَدُ يَا مَنْ لَمْ يَلِدْ وَ لَمْ يُولَدْ وَ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ كُفُوا اَحَدٌ يَا مَنْ يُعْطِي مَنْ سَاَلَهُ تَحَنُّنا مِنْهُ وَ رَحْمَةً وَ يَبْتَدِئُ بِالْخَيْرِ مَنْ لَمْ يَسْاَلْهُ تَفَضُّلا مِنْهُ وَ كَرَما بِكَرَمِكَ الدَّائِمِ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ هَبْ لِي رَحْمَةً وَاسِعَةً جَامِعَةً اَبْلُغُ بِهَا خَيْرَ الدُّنْيَا وَ الْآخِرَةِ اللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّي اَسْتَغْفِرُكَ لِمَا تُبْتُ اِلَيْكَ مِنْهُ ثُمَّ عُدْتُ فِيهِ وَ اَسْتَغْفِرُكَ لِكُلِّ خَيْرٍ اَرَدْتُ بِهِ وَجْهَكَ فَخَالَطَنِي فِيهِ مَا لَيْسَ لَكَ اللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ اعْفُ عَنْ ظُلْمِي وَ جُرْمِي بِحِلْمِكَ وَ جُودِكَ يَا كَرِيمُ، يَا مَنْ لا يَخِيبُ سَائِلُهُ وَ لا يَنْفَدُ نَائِلُهُ يَا مَنْ عَلا فَلا شَيْ‏ءَ فَوْقَهُ وَ دَنَا فَلا شَيْ‏ءَ دُونَهُ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ ارْحَمْنِي يَا فَالِقَ الْبَحْرِ لِمُوسَى اللَّيْلَةَ اللَّيْلَةَ اللَّيْلَةَ السَّاعَةَ السَّاعَةَ السَّاعَةَ اللّٰهُمَّ طَهِّرْ قَلْبِي مِنَ النِّفَاقِ وَ عَمَلِي مِنَ الرِّيَاءِ وَ لِسَانِي مِنَ الْكِذْبِ وَ عَيْنِي مِنَ الْخِيَانَةِ فَاِنَّكَ تَعْلَمُ خَائِنَةَ الْاَعْيُنِ وَ مَا تُخْفِي الصُّدُورُ يَا رَبِّ هٰذَا مَقَامُ الْعَائِذِ بِكَ مِنَ النَّارِ هٰذَا مَقَامُ الْمُسْتَجِيرِ بِكَ مِنَ النَّارِ هٰذَا مَقَامُ الْمُسْتَغِيثِ بِكَ مِنَ النَّارِ هٰذَا مَقَامُ الْهَارِبِ اِلَيْكَ مِنَ النَّارِ هٰذَا مَقَامُ مَنْ يَبُوءُ لَكَ بِخَطِيئَتِهِ وَ يَعْتَرِفُ بِذَنْبِهِ وَ يَتُوبُ اِلَى رَبِّهِ هٰذَا مَقَامُ الْبَائِسِ الْفَقِيرِ هٰذَا مَقَامُ الْخَائِفِ الْمُسْتَجِيرِ هٰذَا مَقَامُ الْمَحْزُونِ الْمَكْرُوبِ، هٰذَا مَقَامُ الْمَغْمُومِ الْمَهْمُومِ هٰذَا مَقَامُ الْغَرِيبِ الْغَرِيقِ هٰذَا مَقَامُ الْمُسْتَوْحِشِ الْفَرِقِ هٰذَا مَقَامُ مَنْ لا يَجِدُ لِذَنْبِهِ غَافِرا غَيْرَكَ وَ لا لِضَعْفِهِ مُقَوِّيا اِلا اَنْتَ وَ لا لِهَمِّهِ مُفَرِّجا سِوَاكَ يَا اللّٰهُ يَا كَرِيمُ لا تُحْرِقْ وَجْهِي بِالنَّارِ بَعْدَ سُجُودِي لَكَ وَ تَعْفِيرِي بِغَيْرِ مَنٍّ مِنِّي عَلَيْكَ بَلْ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ وَ الْمَنُّ وَ التَّفَضُّلُ عَلَيَّ ارْحَمْ اَيْ رَبِّ اَيْ رَبِّ اَيْ رَبِّ

Keep saying this phrase (ay rabbi) as much as one breath takes. Then continue:

ضَعْفِي وَ قِلَّةَ حِيلَتِي وَ رِقَّةَ جِلْدِي وَ تَبَدُّدَ اَوْصَالِي وَ تَنَاثُرَ لَحْمِي وَ جِسْمِي وَ جَسَدِي وَ وَحْدَتِي وَ وَحْشَتِي فِي قَبْرِي وَ جَزَعِي مِنْ صَغِيرِ الْبَلاءِ اَسْاَلُكَ يَا رَبِّ قُرَّةَ الْعَيْنِ وَ الاغْتِبَاطَ يَوْمَ الْحَسْرَةِ وَ النَّدَامَةِ بَيِّضْ وَجْهِي يَا رَبِّ يَوْمَ تَسْوَدُّ الْوُجُوهُ آمِنِّي مِنَ الْفَزَعِ الْاَكْبَرِ اَسْاَلُكَ الْبُشْرَى يَوْمَ تُقَلَّبُ الْقُلُوبُ وَ الْاَبْصَارُ وَ الْبُشْرَى عِنْدَ فِرَاقِ الدُّنْيَا الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي اَرْجُوهُ عَوْنا فِي حَيَاتِي وَ اُعِدُّهُ ذُخْرا لِيَوْمِ فَاقَتِي الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي اَدْعُوهُ وَ لا اَدْعُو غَيْرَهُ وَ لَوْ دَعَوْتُ غَيْرَهُ لَخَيَّبَ دُعَائِي الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي اَرْجُوهُ وَ لا اَرْجُو غَيْرَهُ وَ لَوْ رَجَوْتُ غَيْرَهُ لَاَخْلَفَ رَجَائِي، الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الْمُنْعِمِ الْمُحْسِنِ الْمُجْمِلِ الْمُفْضِلِ ذِي الْجَلالِ وَ الْاِكْرَامِ وَلِيُّ كُلِّ نِعْمَةٍ وَ صَاحِبُ كُلِّ حَسَنَةٍ وَ مُنْتَهَى كُلِّ رَغْبَةٍ وَ قَاضِي كُلِّ حَاجَةٍ اللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ ارْزُقْنِي الْيَقِينَ وَ حُسْنَ الظَّنِّ بِكَ وَ اَثْبِتْ رَجَاءَكَ فِي قَلْبِي وَ اقْطَعْ رَجَائِي عَمَّنْ سِوَاكَ حَتَّى لا اَرْجُوَ غَيْرَكَ وَ لا اَثِقَ اِلا بِكَ يَا لَطِيفا لِمَا تَشَاءُ الْطُفْ لِي فِي جَمِيعِ اَحْوَالِي بِمَا تُحِبُّ وَ تَرْضَى يَا رَبِّ اِنِّي ضَعِيفٌ عَلَى النَّارِ فَلا تُعَذِّبْنِي بِالنَّارِ يَا رَبِّ ارْحَمْ دُعَائِي وَ تَضَرُّعِي وَ خَوْفِي وَ ذُلِّي وَ مَسْكَنَتِي وَ تَعْوِيذِي وَ تَلْوِيذِي يَا رَبِّ اِنِّي ضَعِيفٌ عَنْ طَلَبِ الدُّنْيَا وَ اَنْتَ وَاسِعٌ كَرِيمٌ اَسْاَلُكَ يَا رَبِّ بِقُوَّتِكَ عَلَى ذَلِكَ وَ قُدْرَتِكَ عَلَيْهِ وَ غِنَاكَ عَنْهُ، وَ حَاجَتِي اِلَيْهِ اَنْ تَرْزُقَنِي فِي عَامِي هٰذَا وَ شَهْرِي هٰذَا وَ يَومِي هٰذَا وَ سَاعَتِي هَذِهِ رِزْقا تُغْنِينِي بِهِ عَنْ تَكَلُّفِ مَا فِي اَيْدِي النَّاسِ مِنْ رِزْقِكَ الْحَلالِ الطِّيِّبِ اَيْ رَبِّ مِنْكَ اَطْلُبُ وَ اِلَيْكَ اَرْغَبُ وَ اِيَّاكَ اَرْجُو وَ اَنْتَ اَهْلُ ذَلِكَ لا اَرْجُو غَيْرَكَ وَ لا اَثِقُ اِلا بِكَ يَا اَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ اَيْ رَبِّ ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِي فَاغْفِرْ لِي وَ ارْحَمْنِي وَ عَافِنِي يَا سَامِعَ كُلِّ صَوْتٍ وَ يَا جَامِعَ كُلِّ فَوْتٍ وَ يَا بَارِئَ النُّفُوسِ بَعْدَ الْمَوْتِ يَا مَنْ لا تَغْشَاهُ الظُّلُمَاتُ وَ لا تَشْتَبِهُ عَلَيْهِ الْاَصْوَاتُ وَ لا يَشْغَلُهُ شَيْ‏ءٌ عَنْ شَيْ‏ءٍ اَعْطِ مُحَمَّدا صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ اَفْضَلَ مَا سَاَلَكَ وَ اَفْضَلَ مَا سُئِلْتَ لَهُ وَ اَفْضَلَ مَا اَنْتَ مَسْئُولٌ لَهُ اِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ وَ هَبْ لِيَ الْعَافِيَةَ حَتَّى تَهْنِئَنِي الْمَعِيشَةُ وَ اخْتِمْ لِي بِخَيْرٍ حَتَّى لا تَضُرَّنِي الذُّنُوبُ. اَللّهُمَّ رَضِّنى بِما قَسَمْتَ لى حَتّى لا اَسْئَلَ اَحَداً شَيْئاً اَللّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلى مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَافْتَحْ لى خَزاَّئِنَ رَحْمَتِكَ وَارْحَمْنى رَحْمَةً لا تُعَذِّبُنى بَعْدَها اَبَداً فِى الدُّنْيا وَالا خِرَةِ وَارْزُقْنى مِنْ فَضْلِكَ الْواسِعِ رِزْقاً حَلالاً طَيِّباً لا تُفْقِرُنى اِلى اَحَدٍ بَعْدَهُ سِواكَ تَزيدُنى بِذلِكَ شُكْراً وَاِلَيْكَ فاقَةً وَفَقْراً وَبِكَ عَمَّنْ سِواكَ غِناً وَتَعفُّفاً يا مُحْسِنُ يا مُجْمِلُ يا مُنْعِمُ يا مُفْضِلُ يا مَليكُ يا مُقْتَدِرُ صَلِّ عَلى مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَاكْفِنِى الْمُهِمَّ كُلَّهُ وَاقْضِ لى بِالْحُسْنى وَبارِكْ لى فى جَميعِ اُمُورى وَاقْضِ لى جَميعَ حَوائِجى اَللّهُمَّ يَسِّرْ لى ما اَخافُ تَعْسيرَهُ فَاِنَّ تَيْسيرَ ما اَخافُ تَعْسيرَهُ عَلَيْكَ سَهْلٌ يَسيرٌ وَسَهِّلْ لى ما اَخافُ حُزُونَتَهُ وَنَفِّسْ عَنّى ما اَخافُ ضيقَهُ وَكُفَّ عَنّى ما اَخافُ هَمَّهُ وَاصْرِفْ عَنّى ما اَخافُ بَلِيَّتَهُ يا اَرْحَمَ الرّاحِمينَ. اللّٰهُمَّ امْلَأْ قَلْبِي حُبّا لَكَ وَ خَشْيَةً مِنْكَ وَ تَصْدِيقا لَكَ وَ اِيمَانا بِكَ وَ فَرَقا مِنْكَ وَ شَوْقا اِلَيْكَ يَا ذَا الْجَلالِ وَ الْاِكْرَامِ اللّٰهُمَّ اِنَّ لَكَ حُقُوقا فَتَصَدَّقْ بِهَا عَلَيَّ وَ لِلنَّاسِ قِبَلِي تَبِعَاتٌ فَتَحَمَّلْهَا عَنِّي وَ قَدْ اَوْجَبْتَ لِكُلِّ ضَيْفٍ قِرًى وَ اَنَا ضَيْفُكَ فَاجْعَلْ قِرَايَ اللَّيْلَةَ الْجَنَّةَ يَا وَهَّابَ الْجَنَّةِ يَا وَهَّابَ الْمَغْفِرَةِ وَ لا حَوْلَ وَ لا قُوَّةَ اِلا بِكَ

Translation:

O my means in troubles! O my Companion in hardships! O the Provider of my amenities! O the utmost of my desires! It is You Who conceals my defects, relieves my apprehensions, and overlooks my slips. So, (please do) forgive my sin. O Allah, I pray You for the submission of faith before I encounter the submission of humiliation in Hellfire. O One!: O Absolute! O Besought of all! O He Who neither begets nor is He begotten, and there is none like to Him O He Who confers upon one who beseeches Him on account of His sympathy and mercy, and initially grants welfare to those who have not asked for it, on account of His liberality and generosity! I beseech You in the name of Your endless generosity to bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad and bestow upon me with mercy—vast and comprehensive— by which I can win the welfare of this world as well as the Next World. O Allah, I implore for Your forgiveness of the sins from which I had repented to You but I committed them again. I implore for Your forgiveness of my righteous acts that although I intended them purely for Your sake, some purposes that are not intended for You intruded upon them. O Allah, (please do) send blessings to Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad and pardon my transgression and my offenses, in the name of Your forbearance and magnanimity. O All-generous! O He Whose beseecher will never be disappointed! O He Whose His rewards will never run out! O He Who is so Elevated that nothing can ever be higher than He is and Who is so Nigh that nothing can ever be closer that He is! (Please do) send blessings to Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad and have mercy upon me, O He Who split asunder the sea for (Prophet) Moses, this very night, this very night, this very night, this very hour, this very hour, this very hour. O Allah, (please do) purify my heart from hypocrisy, my acts from showing off, my tongue from telling untruths, and my eye from treason. You verily know the stealthy looks and that which the breasts conceal. O my Lord, this is the manner of him who seeks Your protection from Hellfire. This is the manner of him who seeks Your shelter against Hellfire. This is the manner of him who seeks Your aid against Hellfire. This is the manner of him who flees to You from Hellfire. This is the manner of him who returns to You carrying his offenses, confessing of his sins, and repenting to You—his Lord. This is the manner of the miserable and poor. This is the manner of the fearful and seeker of Your refuge. This is the manner of the aggrieved and distressed. This is the manner of the depressing and gloomy. This is the manner of the stranger and drowned. This is the manner of the alienated and frightened. This is the manner of him who cannot find anyone save You to forgive his sins, who cannot find anyone save You to give him power, and who cannot find anyone save You to relieve his grief. O Allah! O All-generous! (please) do not burn my face with Hellfire after I have prostrated myself before You and I have soiled my face for You. Of course, this is not a personal favor that I have done to myself; rather, it is on account of Your praiseworthy favor to and guidance of me. So, have mercy, O Lord! O Lord! O Lord…(Keep saying this phrase (O lord) as much as one breath takes. Then continue:)

upon my weakness, upon my confusedness, upon the softness of my skin, upon the separation of my organs, upon the dispersal of my flesh, body, and corpse, upon my loneliness and lonesomeness in my grave, and upon my anxiety at the least misfortune that inflicts me. I beseech You, O Lord, for delight and happiness on the Day of regret and remorse. (Please do) whiten my face, O Lord, when some faces will be blackened. (Please do) secure me against the Gravest Horror. I beseech You for good tidings when hearts and sights shall be turned about and for good tidings when I depart this life. All praise be to Allah Whom I hope for supporting me in my life and Whom I want to act as my Provision on the day of my neediness. All praise be to Allah Whom alone do I beseech and I never beseech anyone rather than Him; and even if I beseech anyone else, he will definitely let me down. All praise be to Allah for Whom I hope and I never hope for anyone rather than Him; and even if I hope for anyone else, he will definitely disappoint me. All praise be to Allah, the All-benefactor, the All-donor, the All-favorer, the All-liberal, the Lord of Majesty and Honor, the Source of all bounties, the Cause of all good deeds, the Ultimate Goal of all desires, and the Answerer of all needs. O Allah, (please do) send blessings to Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad and grant me conviction and having good idea about You, fix my hope for You in my heart, and deprive me of putting my hope in anyone other than You, so that I shall hope for none but You and I shall trust none but You. O He Who is Benignant to whom He pleases! (Please do) have benignity to me in all my manners in the very way that You like and please. O my Lord, I am too weak to encounter Your Fire; therefore, (please) do not punish me with Your Fire. O my Lord, (please do) have mercy upon my prayers, my earnest imploring, my fear, my humiliation, my neediness, my seeking Your protection, and my seeking Your refuge. O my Lord, I am too weak to seek earnings in this world and You are Ample-giving and All-generous. I beseech You, O my Lord, in the name of Your power over that, Your supremacy over that, Your dispensing with that, and my urgent need for that to grant me sustenance in this year, in this month, on this day, at this hour— sustenance by which You may make me dispense with what the others possess, from Your sustenance, legal and nice. O my Lord, from You do I ask, for You do I desire, and for You do I hope; and You are the worthiest of being hoped. I hope for none but You and I trust in none but You. O most Merciful of all those who show mercy! O my Lord, I have wronged myself; so, (please do) forgive me, have mercy upon me, and grant me good health. O Hearer of all sounds! O He Who takes precedence over everything that passes away! O Reviver of all souls after death! O He Whom is not screened by murk! O He Whom is not made confused by sounds! O He Whom is not engaged by something against another thing! (Please do) grant Muhammad—peace be upon him and his Household—the best of all that for which he has besought You, the best of all that which has been asked from You for him, and the best all that which You shall be asked for him up to the Resurrection Day; and grant me good health so that I may enjoy my life, an end up my life with a happy end so that my sins may not injure me. O Allah, (please do) make me satisfied with that which You have decided for me so that I will not ask anyone else for anything. O Allah, (please do) send blessings to Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad, open to me the stores of Your mercy, cover me with mercy from You owing to which You will not punish me neither in this world nor in the Hereafter, grant me legal and pleasant sustenance from Your limitless favor owing to which You will make me dispense with anyone other than You; increasing my gratitude to You and my neediness and submission before You, and increasing my dispensing with and doing without everyone save You. O All-benefactor! O All-donor! O All-favorer! O All-liberal! O All-omnipotent! O All-sovereign! (Please do) send blessings to Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad, and relieve me from all grievances, decide the most excellent for me, bless all my affairs, and settle all my needs. O Allah, (please do) make easy for me all that which I anticipate to be difficult, for it is quite easy for You to make easy for me that which I anticipate to be difficult. (Please do) facilitate for me that I anticipate to be complicated, give vent to that which I anticipate to be narrow, save me from that which I anticipate to cause me distress, and guard me from that which I anticipate to cause me misfortune. O most Merciful of all those who show mercy! O Allah, (please do) fill in my heart with love for You, fear from You, belief in You, faith in You, dread from You, and eagerness to You. O Lord of Majesty and Honor! O Allah, I owe You some rights; so, (please do) consider them alms and excuse me from their liabilities. I also owe people some responsibilities; so, (please do) release me from their charges. You have instructed us to honor our guests, and I am Your guest at this night; so, (please do) decide Paradise for me as honor at this night. O Grantor of Paradise! O Grantor of forgiveness! There is no power nor might save with You.

Description:

In Misbah al-Mutahajjid, it has been narrated on the authority of Abu-Hamzah al-Thumali that Imam Ali ibn al-Husayn Zayn al-’Abidin (a.s.) used to offer prayers at the nights of Ramadan wholly. At the last hour of Ramadan nights, he used to say the following supplicatory prayer:

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْم

إلهِي لا تُؤَدِّبْنِي بِعُقُوبَتِكَ وَلا تَمْكُرْ بِي فِي حِيلَتِكَ مِنْ أَيْنَ لِيَ الْخَيْرُ يَا رَبِّ وَلا يُوجَدُ إلاّ مِنْ عِنْدِكَ؟ وَمِنْ أَيْنَ لِيَ النَّجَاةُ وَلا تُسْتَطَاعُ إلاّ بِكَ؟ لا الَّذِي أَحْسَنَ اسْتَغْنَي عَنْ عَوْنِكَ وَرَحْمَتِكَ وَلا الَّذِي أَسَاءَ وَاجْتَرَأَ عَلَيْكَ وَلَمْ يُرْضِكَ خَرَجَ عَنْ قُدْرَتِكَ يَا رَبِّ يَا رَبِّ يَا رَبِّ ۔۔

اس کو اتنی مرتبہ کہے کہ سانس ٹوٹ جائے اور اس کے بعد کہے:

وَالْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ الَّذِيْ لَا اَرْجُوْ غَيْرَهُ وَلَوْ رَجَوْتُ غَيْرَهُ لَاَخْلَفَ رَجَاۤئِـيْ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ الَّذِيْ وَكَلَنِيْ اِلَيْهِ فَاَكْرَمَنِيْ وَلَمْ يَكِلْنِيْ اِلَي النَّاسِ فَيُهِيْنُوْنِيْ وَاَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ الَّذِيْ تَحَبَّبَ اِلَيَّ وَهُوَ غَنِيٌّ عَنِّيْ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ الَّذِيْ يَحْلُمُ عَنِّيْ حَتّٰي كَاَنِّيْ لَا ذَنْبَ لِيْ فَرَبِّيْ اَحْمَدُ شَيْئٍ عِنْدِيْ وَاَحَقُّ بِحَمْدِيْ۔ اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّيْ اَجِدُ سُبُلَ الْمَطَالِبِ اِلَيْكَ مُشْرَعَةٌ وَمَنَاهِلَ الرَّجَاۤءِ اِلَيْكَ مُتْرَعَةً وَالْاِسْتِعَانَةَ بِفَضْلِكَ لِمَنْ اَمَّلَكَ مُبَاحَةً وَاَبْوابَ الدُّعَاۤءِ إِلَيْكَ لِلصَّارِخِيْنَ مَفْتُوْحَةً وَاَعْلَمُ اَنَّكَ لِلرَّاجِيْ بِمَوْضِعِ اِجَابَةٍ وَلِلْمَلْهُوْفِيْنَ بِمَرْصَدِ اِغَاثَةٍ وَاَنَّ فِي اللّٰهْفِ اِلٰي جُوْدِكَ وَالرِّضَا بِقَضَاۤئِكَ عِوَضًا مِنْ مَنْعِ الْبَاخِلِيْنَ وَمَنْدُوْحَةً عَمَّا فِيْ اَيْدِيْ الْمُسْتَاْثِرِيْنَ وَاَنَّ الرَّاحِلَ اِلَيْكَ قَرِيْبُ الْمَسَافَةِ وَاَنَّكَ لَا تَحْتَجِبُ عَنْ خَلْقِكَ اِلَّاۤ اَنْ تَحْجُبَهُمُ الْاَعْمَالُ دُوْنَكَ وَقَدْ قَصَدْتُ اِلَيْكَ بِطَلِبَتِي وَتَوَجَّهْتُ اِلَيْكَ بِحَاجَتِي وَجَعَلْتُ بِكَ اسْتِغاثَتِيْ وَبِدُعَاۤئِكَ تَوَسُّلِيْ مِنْ غَيْرِ اسْتِحْقَاقٍ لِاسْتِمَاعِكَ مِنِّي وَلَا اسْتِيْجَابٍ لِعَفْوِكَ عَنِّيْ بَلْ لِثِقَتِيْ بِكَرَمِكَ وَسُكُوْنِيْ اِلٰي صِدْقِ وَعْدِكَ وَلَجَاۤئِـيْ اِلَي الْاِيْمَانِ بِتَوْحِيْدِكَ وَ يَقِيْنِيْ بِمَعْرِفَتِكَ مِنِّيْ اَنْ لَا رَبَّ لِيْ غَيْرُكَ وَلَاۤ اِلٰهَ اِلَّا اَنْتَ وَحْدَكَ لَا شَرِيْكَ لَكَ۔ اَللّٰهُمَّ اَنْتَ الْقَاۤئِلُ وَقَوْلُكَ حَقٌّ وَ وَعْدُكَ صِدْقٌ وَاسْئَلُوْا اللّٰهَ مِنْ فَضْلِهِ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ كَانَ بِكُمْ رَحِيْمًا وَلَيْسَ مِنْ صِفاتِكَ يَا سَيِّدِيْ اَنْ تَاْمُرَ بِالسُّؤَالِ وَتَمْنَعَ الْعَطِيَّةَ وَاَنْتَ الْمَنَّانُ بِالْعَطِيّاتِ عَلٰي اَهْلِ مَمْلِكَتِكَ وَالْعَاۤئِدُ عَلَيْهِمْ بِتَحَنُّنِ رَاْفَتِكَ۔ اِلٰهِيْ رَبَّيْتَنِيْ فِيْ نِعَمِكَ وَاِحْسَانِكَ صَغِيْرًا وَنَوَّهْتَ بِاسْمِيْ كَبِيْرًا فَيَا مَنْ رَبَّانِيْ فِيْ الدُّنْيَا بِاِحْسَانِهِ وَتَفَضُّلِهِ وَنِعَمِهِ وَاَشارَلِيْ فِي الْاٰخِرَةِ اِلٰي عَفْوِهِ وَكَرَمِهِ مَعْرِفَتِيْ يَا مَوْلَايَ دَلِيْلِيْ عَلَيْكَ وَحُبِّيْ لَكَ شَفِيْعِيْ اِلَيْكَ وَاَنَا وَاثِقٌ مِنْ دَلِيْلِيْ بِدَلَالَتِكَ وَسَاكِنٌ مِنْ شَفِيْعِيْ اِلٰي شَفَاعَتِكَ اَدْعُوْكَ يَا سَيِّدِيْ بِلِسَانٍ قَدْ اَخْرَسَهُ ذَنْبُهُ رَبِّ اُنَاجِيْكَ بِقَلْبٍ قَدْ اَوْبَقَهُ جُرْمُهُ اَدْعُوْكَ يا رَبِّ رَاهِبًا رَاغِبًا رَاجِيًا خَاۤئِفًا اِذَا رَاَيْتُ مَوْلَايَ ذُنُوْبِيْ فَزِعْتُ وَاِذَا رَاَيْتُ كَرَمَكَ طَمِعْتُ فَاِنْ عَفَوْتَ فَخَيْرُ رَاحِمٍ وَ اِنْ عَذَّبْتَ فَغَيْرُ ظَالِمٍ حُجَّتِيْ يَا اَللّٰهُ فِيْ جُرْاَتِيْ عَلٰي مَسْئَلَتِكَ مَعَ اِتْيَانِيْ مَا تَكْرَهُ جُوْدُكَ وَ كَرَمُكَ وَعُدَّتِيْ فِيْ شِدَّتِيْ مَعَ قِلَّةِ حَيَاۤئِـيْ رَافَتُكَ وَرَحْمَتُكَ وَقَدْ رَجَوْتُ اَنْ لَّا تَخِيْبَ بَيْنَ ذَيْنِ وَذَيْنِ مُنْيَتِيْ فَحَقِّقْ رَجَاۤئِـيْ وَاسْمَعْ دُعَاۤئِـيْ ياَ خَيْرَ مَنْ دَعَاهُ دَاعٍ وَاَفْضَلَ مَنْ رَجَاهُ رَاجٍ عَظُمَ يا سَيِّدِيْ اَمَلِيْ وَسٰۤاۤءَ عَمَلِيْ فَاَعْطِنِيْ مِنْ عَفْوِكَ بِمِقْدَارِ اَمَلِيْ وَلَا تُؤَاخِذْنِيْ بِاَسْوَءِ عَمَلِيْ فَاِنَّ كَرَمَكَ يَجِلُّ عَنْ مُجَازَاةِ الْمُذْنِبِيْنَ وَحِلْمَكَ يَكْبُرُ عَنْ مُكَافَاةِ الْمُقَصِّرِيْنَ وَاَنَا يَا سَيِّدِيْ عَاۤئِذٌ بِفَضْلِكَ هَارِبٌ مِنْكَ اِلَيْكَ مُتَنَجِّزٌ مَا وَعَدْتَ مِنَ الصَّفْحِ عَمَّنْ اَحْسَنَ بِكَ ظَنًّا وَمَا اَنَا يَا رَبِّ وَمَا خَطَرِيْ هَبْنِيْ بِفَضْلِكَ هَارِبٌ مِنْكَ اِلَيْكَ مُتَنَجِّزٌ مَا وَعَدْتَ مِنَ الصَّفْحِ عَمَّنْ اَحْسَنَ بِكَ ظَنًّا وَمَا اَنَا يَا رَبِّ وَمَا خَطَرِيْ هَبْنِيْ بِفَضْلِكَ وَتَصَدَّقْ عَلَيَّ بِعَفْوِكَ اَيْ رَبِّ جَلِّلْنِيْ بِسَتْرِكَ وَاعْفُ عَنْ تَوْبِيْخِيْ بِكَرَمِ وَجْهِكَ فَلَوِ اطَّلَعَ الْيَوْمَ عَلٰي ذَنْبِيْ غَيْرُكَ مَا فَعَلْتُهُ وَلَوْ خِفْتُ تَعْجِيْلَ الْعُقُوْبَةِ لَاجْتَنَبْتُهُ لَا لِاَنَّكَ اَهْوَنُ النَّاظِرِيْنَ وَاَخَفُّ الْمُطَّلِعِيْنَ بَلْ لِاَنَّكَ يَا رَبِّ خَيْرُ السَّاتِرِيْنَ وَاَحْكَمُ الْحَاكِمِيْنَ وَاَكْرَمُ الْاَكْرَمِيْنَ سَتَّارُ الْعُيُوْبِ غَفّارُ الذُّنُوْبِ عَلَّامُ الْغُيُوْبِ تَسْتُرُ الذَّنْبَ بِكَرَمِكَ وَ تُؤَخِّرُ الْعُقُوْبَةَ بِحِلْمِكَ فَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ عَلٰي حِلْمِكَ بَعْدَ عِلْمِكَ وَعَلٰي عَفْوِكَ بَعْدَ قُدْرَتِكَ وَيَحْمِلُنِيْ وَيُجَرِّئُنِيْ عَلٰي مَعْصِيَتِكَ حِلْمُكَ عَنِّيْ وَيَدْعُوْنِيْ اِلٰي قِلَّةِ الْحَيَاۤءِ سِتْرُكَ عَلَيَّ وَيُسْرِعُنِيْ اِلَي التَّوَثُّبِ عَلٰي مَحَارِمِكَ مَعْرِفَتِيْ بِسَعَةِ رَحْمَتِكَ وَعَظِيْمِ عَفْوِكَ۔ يَا حَلِيْمُ يَا كَرِيْمُ يَا حَيُّ يَا قَيُّوْمُ يَا غَافِرَ الذَّنْبِ يَا قَابِلَ التَّوْبِ يَا عَظِيْمَ الْمَنِّ يَا قَدِيْمَ الْاِحْسَانِ اَيْنَ سِتْرُكَ الْجَمِيْلُ اَيْنَ عَفْوُكَ الْجَلِيْلُ اَيْنَ فَرَجُكَ الْقَرِيْبُ اَيْنَ غِيَاثُكَ السَّرِيْعُ اَيْنَ رَحْمَتُكَ الْوَاسِعَةُ اَيْنَ عَطَايَاكَ الْفَاضِلَةُ اَيْنَ مَوَاهِبُكَ الْهَنِيْئَةُ اَيْنَ صَنَاۤئِعُكَ السَّنِيَّةُ اَيْنَ فَضْلُكَ الْعَظِيْمُ اَيْنَ مَنُّكَ الْجَسِيْمُ اَيْنَ اِحْسَانُكَ الْقَدِيْمُ اَيْنَ كَرَمُكَ يَا كَرِيْمُ بهِ وَ بِمُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ فَاسْتَنْقِذْنِيْ وَ بِرَحْمَتِكَ فَخَلِّصْنِيْ يَا مُحْسِنُ يَا مُجْمِلُ يَا مُنْعِمُ يَا مُفْضِلُ لَسْتُ اَتَّكِلُ فِيْ النَّجاةِ مِنْ عِقابِكَ عَلٰي اَعْمَالِنَا بَلْ بِفَضْلِكَ عَلَيْنَا لِاَنَّكَ اَهْلُ التَّقْوٰي وَ اَهْلُ الْمَغْفِرَةِ تُبْدِئُ بِالْاِحْسَانِ نِعَمًا وَتَعْفُوْ عَنِ الذَّنْبِ كَرَمًا فَمَا نَدْرِيْ مَا نَشْكُرُ اَجَمِيْلَ مَا تَنْشُرُ اَمْ قَبِيْحَ مَا تَسْتُرُ اَمْ عَظِيْمَ مَا اَبْلَيْتَ وَ اَوْلَيْتَ اَمْ كَثِيْرَ مَا مِنْهُ نَجَّيْتَ وَ عَافَيْتَ يَا حَبِيْبَ مَنْ تَحَبَّبَ اِلَيْكَ وَيَا قُرَّةَ عَيْنِ مَنْ لَّاذَ بِكَ وَانْقَطَعَ اِلَيْكَ اَنْتَ الْمُحْسِنُ وَنَحْنُ الْمُسِيْئُوْنَ فَتَجاوَزْ يَا رَبِّ عَنْ قَبِيْحِ مَا عِنْدَنَا بِجَمِيْلِ مَا عِنْدَكَ وَاَيُّ جَهْلٍ يَا رَبِّ لَا يَسَعُهُ جُوْدُكَ اَوْ اَيُّ زَمَانٍ اَطْوَلُ مِنْ اَنَاتِكَ وَمَا قَدْرُ اَعْمالِنَا فِيْ جَنْبِ نِعَمِكَ وَكَيْفَ نَسْتَكْثِرُ اَعْمالًا نُقَابِلُ بِهَا كَرَمَكَ بَلْ كَيْفَ يَضِيْقُ عَلَي الْمُذْنِبِيْنَ مَا وَسِعَهُمْ مِنْ رَحْمَتِكَ يَا وَاسِعَ الْمَغْفِرَةِ يَا بَاسِطَ الْيَدَيْنِ بِالرَّحْمَةِ فَوَعِزَّتِكَ يَا سَيِّدِيْ لَوْ نَهَرْتَنِيْ مَا بَرِحْتُ مِنْ بَابِكَ وَلَا كَفَفْتُ عَنْ تَمَلُّقِكَ لِمَا انْتَهٰي اِلَيَّ مِنَ الْمَعْرِفَةِ بِجُوْدِكَ وَكَرِمِكَ وَ اَنْتَ الْفاعِلُ لِمَا تَشَاۤءُ تُعَذِّبُ مَنْ تَشَاۤءُ بِمَا تَشَاۤءُ كَيْفَ تَشَاۤءُ وَتَرْحَمُ مَنْ تَشَاۤءُ بِمَا تَشَاۤءُ كَيْفَ تَشَاۤءُ وَلَا تُسْئَلُ عَنْ فِعْلِكَ وَلَا تُنازَعُ فِيْ مُلْكِكَ وَلَا تُشارَكُ فِيْ اَمْرِكَ وَلَا تُضَاۤدُّ فِيْ حُكْمِكَ وَلَا يَعْتَرِضُ عَلَيْكَ اَحَدٌ فِيْ تَدْبِيْرِكَ لَكَ الْخَلْقُ وَالْاَمْرُ تَبارَكَ اللّٰهُ رَبُّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ يَا رَبِّ هٰذَا مَقَامُ مَنْ لَّاذَبِكَ وَاسْتَجَارَ بِكَرَمِكَ وَاَلِفَ اِحْسَانَكَ وَنِعَمَكَ وَاَنْتَ الْجَوادُ الَّذِيْ لَا يَضِيْقُ عَفْوُكَ وَلَا يَنْقُصُ فَضْلُكَ وَلَا تَقِلُّ رَحْمَتُكَ وَقَدْ تَوَثَّقْنَا مِنْكَ بِالصَّفْحِ الْقَدِيْمِ وَالْفَضْلِ الْعَظيمِ وَالرَّحْمَةِ الْواسِعَةِ اَفَتُرَاكَ يَا رَبِّ تُخْلِفُ ظُنُوْنَنَا اَوْ تُخَيِّبُ اَمَالَنَا كَلَّا يَا كَرِيْمُ فَلَيْسَ هٰذَا ظَنُّنَا بِكَ وَلَا هٰذَا فِيْكَ طَمَعُنَا يَا رَبِّ اِنَّ لَنَا فِيْكَ اَمَلًا طَوِيْلًا كَثِيْرًا اِنَّ لَنَا فِيْكَ رَجَاۤءً عَظِيْمًا عَصَيْنَاكَ وَنَحْنُ نَرْجُوْ اَنْ تَسْتُرَ عَلَيْنَا وَدَعَوْنَاكَ وَنَحْنُ نَرْجُوْ اَنْ تَسْتَجِيْبَ لَنَا فَحَقِّقْ رَجَاۤءَنَا مَوْلَانَا فَقَدْ عَلِمْنا مَا نَسْتَوْجِبُ بِاَعْمَالِنَا وَلكِنْ عِلْمُكَ فِينَا وَعِلْمُنَا بِأَنَّكَ لا تَصْرِفُنَا عَنْكَ حَثَّنَا عَلَي الرَّغْبَةِ إلَيْكَ وَاِنْ كُنَّا غَيْرَ مُسْتَوْجِبِيْنَ لِرَحْمَتِكَ فَاَنْتَ اَهْلٌ اَنْ تَجُوْدَ عَلَيْنَا وَعَلَي الْمُذْنِبِيْنَ بِفَضْلِ سَعَتِكَ فَامْنُنْ عَلَيْنَا بِمَا اَنْتَ اَهْلُهُ وَجُدْ عَلَيْنَا فَاِنَّا مُحْتَاجُوْنَ اِلٰي نَيْلِكَ يَا غَفَّارُ بِنُوْرِكَ اهْتَدَيْنَا وَبِفَضْلِكَ اسْتَغْنَيْنَا وَبِنِعْمَتِكَ اَصْبَحْنَا وَاَمْسَيْنَا ذُنُوْبُنَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْكَ نَسْتَغْفِرُكَ اللّٰهُمَّ مِنْهَا وَنَتُوْبُ اِلَيْكَ تَتَحَبَّبُ اِلَيْنَا بِالنِّعَمِ وَنُعَارِضُكَ بِالذُّنُوْبِ خَيْرُكَ اِلَيْنَا نازِلٌ وَشَرُّنَا اِلَيْكَ صَاعِدٌ وَلَمْ يَزَلْ وَلَا يَزَالُ مَلَكٌ كَرِيْمٌ يَاْتِيْكَ عَنَّا بِعَمَلٍ قَبِيْحٍ فَلَا يَمْنَعُكَ ذٰلِكَ مِنْ اَنْ تَحُوْطَنَا بِنِعَمِكَ وَتَتَفَضَّلَ عَلَيْنَا بِاٰلَاۤئِكَ فَسُبْحَانَكَ مَا اَحْلَمَكَ وَاَعْظَمَكَ وَاَكْرَمَكَ مُبْدِئًا وَمُعِيْدًا تَقَدَّسَتْ اَسْمَاؤُكَ وَجَلَّ ثَنَاؤُكَ وَكَرُمَ صَنَاۤئِعُكَ وَفِعَالُكَ اَنْتَ اِلٰهِيْ اَوْسَعُ فَضْلًا وَاَعْظَمُ حِلْمًا مِنْ اَنْ تُقَايِسَنِيْ بِفِعْلِيْ وَخَطِيْئَتِيْ فَالْعَفْوَ الْعَفْوَ الْعَفْوَ سَيِّدِيْ سَيِّدِيْ سَيِّدِيْ اَللّٰهُمَّ اشْغَلْنَا بِذِكْرِكَ وَاَعِذْنَا مِنْ سَخَطِكَ وَ اَجِرْنَا مِنْ عَذَابِكَ وَارْزُقْنَا مِنْ مَوَاهِبِكَ وَ اَنْعِمْ عَلَيْنَا مِنْ فَضْلِكَ وَارْزُقْنَا حَجَّ بَيْتِكَ وَ زِيَارَةَ قَبْرِ نَبِيِّكَ صَلَوَاتُكَ وَ رَحْمَتُكَ وَ مَغْفِرَتُكَ وَ رِضْوانُكَ عَلَيْهِ وَ عَلٰي اَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ اِنَّكَ قَرِيْبٌ مُجِيْبٌ وَارْ زُقْنَا عَمَلًا بِطَاعَتِكَ وَتَوَفَّنَا عَلٰي مِلَّتِكَ، وَسُنَّةِ نَبِيِّكَ صَلَّي اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهِ اَللّٰهُمَّ اغْفِرْلِيْ وَلِوالِدَيَّ وَارْحَمْهُمَا كَمَا رَبَّيَانِيْ صَغِيْرًا اجْزِهِمَا بِالْاِحْسَانِ اِحْسَانًا وَبِالسَّيِّئَاتِ غُفْرَانًا اَللّٰهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِلْمُؤْمِنينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ الْاَحيَاۤءِ مِنْهُمْ وَالْاَمْوَاتِ وَتابِعْ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَهُمْ بِالْخَيْراتِ اَللّٰهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِحَيِّنَا وَمَيِّتِنَا وَشَاهِدِنَا وَغاۤئِبِنَا ذَكَرِنَا وَاُنْثَانَا صَغِيْرِنَا وَكَبِيْرِنَا حُرِّنَا وَمَمْلُوْكِنَا كَذَبَ الْعادِلُوْنَ بِاللّٰهِ وَضَلُّوْا ضَلَالًا بَعِيْدًا وَخَسِرُوْا خُسْرَانًا مُبِيْنًا اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰي مُحَمَّدٍ وَّاٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَاخْتِمْ لِيْ بِخَيْرٍ وَاكْفِنِيْ مَا اَهَمَّني مِنْ اَمْرِ دُنْيَايَ وَاٰخِرَتِيْ وَلَا تُسَلِّطْ عَلَيَّ مَنْ لَّا يَرْحَمُنِيْ وَاجْعَلْ عَلَيَّ مِنْكَ وَاقِيَةً بَاقِيَةً وَلَا تَسْلُبْنِيْ صَالِحَ مَا اَنْعَمْتَ بِهِ عَلَيَّ وَارْزُقْنِيْ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ رِزْقًا وَاسِعًا حَلَالًا طَيِّبًا اَللّٰهُمَّ احْرُسْنِيْ بِحَرَاسَتِكَ وَاحْفَظْنِيْ بِحِفْظِكَ وَاكْلَانِيْ بِكِلٰۤاۤئَتِكَ وَارْزُقْنِيْ حَجَّ بَيْتِكَ الْحَرَامِ فِيْ عَامِنَا هذَا وَ فِيْ كُلِّ عَامٍ وَ زِيَارَةَ قَبْرِ نَبِيِّكَ وَالْاَئِمَّةِ عَلَيْهِمُ السَّلَامُ وَ لَا تُخْلِنِيْ يَا رَبِّ مِنْ تِلْكَ الْمَشَاهِدِ الشَّرِيْفَةِ، وَالْمَوَاقِفِ الْكَرِيْمَةِ اَللّٰهُمَّ تُبْ عَلَيَّ حَتّٰي لَا اَعْصِيَكَ وَاَلْهِمْنِيْ الْخَيْرَ وَالْعَمَلَ بِهِ وَخَشْيَتَكَ بِاللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهارِ مَا اَبْقَيْتَنِيْ يَا رَبَّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّيْ كُلَّمَا قُلْتُ قَدْ تَهَيَّاتُ وَتَعَبَّاتُ وَقُمْتُ لِلصَّلَاةِ بَيْنَ يَدَيْكَ وَنَاجَيْتُكَ اَلْقَيْتَ عَلَيَّ نُعَاسًا اِذَا اَنَا صَلَّيْتُ وَسَلَبْتَنِيْ مُنَاجَاتَكَ اِذَا اَنَا نَاجَيْتُ مَالِيْ كُلَّمَا قُلْتُ قَدْ صَلَحَتْ سَرِيْرَتِيْ وَقَرُبَ مِنْ مَجَالِسِ التَّوّابِيْنَ مَجْلِسِيْ عَرَضَتْ لِيْ بَلِيَّةٌ اَزَالَتْ قَدَمِيْ وَحَالَتْ بَيْنِيْ وَبَيْنَ خِدْمَتِكَ سَيِّدِيْ لَعَلَّكَ عَنْ بَابِكَ طَرَدْتَنِيْ وَعَنْ خِدْمَتِكَ نَحَّيْتَنِيْ اَوْ لَعَلَّكَ رَاَيْتَنِيْ مُسْتَخِفًّا بِحَقِّكَ فَاَقْصَيْتَنِيْ اَوْ لَعَلَّكَ رَاَيْتَنِيْ مُعْرِضًا عَنْكَ فَقَلَيْتَنِيْ اَوْ لَعَلَّكَ وَجَدْتَنِيْ فِيْ مَقَامِ الْكَاذِبِيْنَ فَرَفَضْتَنِيْ اَوْ لَعَلَّكَ رَاَيْتَنِيْ غَيْرَ شَاكِرٍ لِنَعْمَاۤئِكَ فَحَرَمْتَنِيْ اَوْ لَعَلَّكَ فَقَدْتَنِيْ مِنْ مَجالِسِ الْعُلَمَاۤءِ فَخَذَلْتَنِيْ اَوْ لَعَلَّكَ رَاَيْتَنِيْ فِي الْغَافِلِيْنَ فَمِنْ رَحْمَتِكَ اٰيَسْتَنِيْ اَوْ لَعَلَّكَ رَاَيْتَنِيْ اٰلِفَ مَجَالِسِ الْبَطَّالِيْنَ فَبَيْنِيْ وَبَيْنَهُمْ خَلَّيْتَنِيْ اَوْ لَعَلَّكَ لَمْ تُحِبَّ اَنْ تَسْمَعَ دُعَاۤئِيْ فَبَاعَدْتَنِيْ اَوْ لَعَلَّكَ بِجُرْمِيْ وَجَرِيْرَتِيْ كَافَيْتَنِيْ اَوْ لَعَلَّكَ بِقِلَّةِ حَيَاۤئِـيْ مِنْكَ جَازَيْتَنِيْ فَاِنْ عَفَوْتَ يَا رَبِّ فَطَالَ مَا عَفَوْتَ عَنِ الْمُذْنِبِيْنَ قَبْلِيْ لِاَنَّ كَرَمَكَ اَيْ رَبِّ يَجِلُّ عَنْ مُكَافَاتِ الْمُقَصِّرِيْنَ وَاَنَا عَاۤئِذٌ بِفَضْلِكَ، هَارِبٌ مِنْكَ اِلَيْكَ مُتَنَجِّزٌ مَا وَعَدْتَ مِنَ الصَّفْحِ عَمَّنْ اَحْسَنَ بِكَ ظَنًّا اِلٰهِيْ اَنْتَ اَوْسَعُ فَضْلًا وَاَعْظَمُ حِلْمًا مِنْ اَنْ تُقايِسَنِيْ بِعَمَلِيْ اَوْ اَنْ تَسْتَزِلَّنِيْ بِخَطِيْئَتِيْ وَمَا اَنَا يَا سَيِّدِيْ وَمَا خَطَرِيْ هَبْنِيْ بِفَضْلِكَ سَيِّدِيْ وَتَصَدَّقْ عَلَيَّ بِعَفْوِكَ وَجَلِّلْنِيْ بِسِتْرِكَ وَاعْفُ عَنْ تَوْبِيْخِيْ بِكَرَمِ وَجْهِكَ سَيِّدِي اَنَا الصَّغِيْرُ الَّذِيْ رَبَّيْتَهُ وَاَنَا الْجاهِلُ الَّذِيْ عَلَّمْتَهُ وَأَنَا الضَّالُّ الَّذِيْ هَدَيْتَهُ وَاَنَا الْوَضِيْعُ الَّذِيْ رَفَعْتَهُ وَاَنَا الْخَاۤئِفُ الَّذِيْ اٰمَنْتَهُ وَالْجَايِعُ الَّذِيْ اَشْبَعْتَهُ وَالْعَطْشَانُ الَّذِيْ اَرْوَيْتَهُ وَالْعَارِي الَّذِيْ كَسَوْتَهُ وَالْفَقيرُ الَّذِيْ اَغْنَيْتَهُ وَالضَّعِيْفُ الَّذِيْ قَوَّيْتَهُ وَالذَّلِيْلُ الَّذِيْ اَعْزَزْتَهُ وَالسَّقِيْمُ الَّذِيْ شَفَيْتَهُ وَالسَّاۤئِلُ الَّذِي اَعْطَيْتَهُ وَالْمُذْنِبُ الَّذِيْ سَتَرْتَهُ وَالْخَاطِئُ الَّذِيْ اَقَلْتَهُ وَاَنَا الْقَلِيْلُ الَّذِيْ كَثَّرْتَهُ وَالْمُسْتَضْعَفُ الَّذِيْ نَصَرْتَهُ وَاَنَا الطَّرِيْدُ الَّذِيْ اٰوَيْتَهُ اَنَا يَا رَبِّ الَّذِيْ لَمْ اَسْتَحْيِكَ فِي الْخَلَاۤءِ وَلَمْ اُرَاقِبْكَ فِي الْمَلَاۤءِ اَنَا صَاحِبُ الدَّوَاهِي الْعُظْمٰي اَنَا الَّذِيْ عَلٰي سَيِّدِهِ اجْتَرٰي اَنَا الَّذِيْ عَصَيْتُ جَبَّارَ السَّمَاۤءِ اَنَا الَّذِي اعْطَيْتُ عَلٰي مَعَاصِيْ الْجَلِيْلِ الرُّشَا اَنَا الَّذِيْ حِيْنَ بُشِّرْتُ بِهَا خَرَجْتُ اِلَيْهَا اَسْعٰي اَنَا الَّذِيْ اَمْهَلْتَنِيْ فَمَا ارْعَوَيْتُ وَسَتَرْتَ عَلَيَّ فَمَا اسْتَحْيَيْتُ وَعَمِلْتُ بِالْمَعَاصِيْ فَتَعَدَّيْتُ وَاسْقَطْتَنِيْ مِنْ عَيْنِكَ فَمَا بَالَيْتُ فَبِحِلْمِكَ اَمْهَلْتَنِيْ وَبِسِتْرِكَ سَتَرْتَنِيْ حَتّٰي كَانَّكَ اَغْفَلْتَنِيْ وَمِنْ عُقُوْبَاتِ الْمَعَاصِيْ جَنَّبْتَنِيْ حَتّٰي كَانَّكَ اسْتَحْيَيْتَنِيْ اِلٰهِيْ لَمْ اَعْصِكَ حِيْنَ عَصَيْتُكَ وَاَنَا بِرُبُوْبِيَّتِكَ جَاحِدٌ وَلَا بِاَمْرِكَ مُسْتَخِفٌّ وَلَا لِعُقُوْبَتِكَ مُتَعَرِّضٌ وَلَا لِوَعِيْدِكَ مُتَهَاوِنٌ لٰكِنْ خَطِيْۤئَةٌ عَرَضَتْ وَسَوَّلَتْ لِيْ نَفْسِيْ وَغَلَبَنِيْ هَوَايَ وَاَعَانَنِيْ عَلَيْهَا شِقْوَتِيْ وَغَرَّنِيْ سِتْرُكَ الْمُرْخٰي عَلَيَّ فَقَدْ عَصَيْتُكَ وَخَالَفْتُكَ بِجُهْدِيْ فَالْاٰنَ مِنْ عَذَابِكَ مَنْ يَسْتَنْقِذُنِيْ وَمِنْ اَيْدِيْ الْخُصَمَاۤء غَدًا مِنْ يُخَلِّصُنِيْ وَبِحَبْلِ مَنْ اَتَّصِلُ اِنْ اَنْتَ قَطَعْتَ حَبْلَكَ عَنِّيْ فَوَاسَوْاَتَا عَلٰي مَا اَحْصٰي كِتَابُكَ مِنْ عَمَلِي الَّذِيْ لَوْلَا مَا اَرْجُوْ مِنْ كَرَمِكَ وَسَعَةِ رَحْمَتِكَ وَنَهْيِكَ اِيَّايَ عَنِ الْقُنُوْطِ لَقَنَطْتُ عِنْدَمَا اَتَذَكَّرُهَا يَا خَيْرَ مَنْ دَعَاهُ دَاعٍ وَاَفْضَلَ مَنْ رَجَاهُ رَاجٍ اَللّٰهُمَّ بِذِمَّةِ الْاِسْلَامِ اَتَوَسَّلُ اِلَيْكَ وَبِحُرْمَةِ الْقُرْاٰنِ اَعْتَمِدُ اِلَيْكَ وَبِحُبِّي النَّبِيَّ الْاُمِّيَّ الْقُرَشِيَّ الْهَاشِمِيَّ الْعَرَبِيَّ التَّهَامِيَّ الْمَكِّيَّ الْمَدَنِيَّ ارْجُوْ الزُّلْفَةَ لَدَيْكَ فَلَا تُوْحِشِ اسْتِيْنَاسَ اِيْمَانِيْ وَلَا تَجْعَلْ ثَوَابِيْ ثَوَابَ مَنْ عَبَدَ سِوَاكَ فَاِنَّ قَوْمًا اٰمَنُوْا بِاَلْسِنَتِهِمْ لِيَحْقِنُوْا بِهِ دِمَاۤءَهُمْ فَاَدْرَكُوْا مَا اَمَّلُوْا وَاِنَّا اٰمَنَّا بِكَ بِاَلْسِنَتِنَا وَقُلُوْبِنَا لِتَعْفُوَعَنَّا فَادْرِكْنَا مَا اَمَّلْنَا وَثَبِّتْ رَجَاۤئَكَ فِيْ صُدُوْرِنَا وَلَا تُزِغْ قُلُوْبَنَا بَعْدَ اِذْ هَدَيْتَنَا وَهَبْ لَنَا مِنْ لَدُنْكَ رَحْمَةً اِنَّكَ اَنْتَ الْوَهّابُ فَوَعِزَّتِكَ لَوِ انْتَهَرْتَنِيْ مَا بَرِحْتُ مِنْ بَابِكَ وَلَا كَفَفْتُ عَنْ تَمَلُّقِكَ لِمَا اُلْهِمَ قَلْبِيْ مِنَ الْمَعْرِفَةِ بِكَرَمِكَ وَ سَعَةِ رَحْمَتِكَ اِلٰي مَنْ يَذْهَبُ الْعَبْدُ اِلَّا اِلٰي مَوْلَاهُ وَاِلٰي مَنْ يَلْتَجِئُ الْمَخْلُوْقُ اِلَّا اِلٰي خَالِقِهِ اِلٰهِيْ لَوْ قَرَنْتَنِيْ بِالْاَصْفَادِ وَمَنَعْتَنِيْ سَيْبَكَ مِنْ بَيْنِ الْاَشْهَادِ وَدَلَلْتَ عَلٰي فَضَايِحِيْ عُيُوْنَ الْعِبَادِ وَاَمَرْتَ بِيْ اِلَي النَّارِ وَحُلْتَ بَيْنِيْ وَبَيْنَ الْاَبْرَارِ مَا قَطَعْتُ رَجَاۤئِـيْ مِنْكَ وَمَا صَرَفْتُ تَامِيْلِيْ لِلْعَفْوِ عَنْكَ وَلَا خَرَجَ حُبُّكَ مِنْ قَلْبِيْ اَنَا لَا اَنْسٰي اَيَادِيَكَ عِنْدِيْ وَسَتْرَكَ عَلَيَّ فِيْ دَارِ الدُّنْيَا سَيِّدِيْ اَخْرِجْ حُبَّ الدُّنْيَا مِنْ قَلْبِيْ وَاجْمَعْ بَيْني وَبَيْنَ الْمُصْطَفٰي وَاٰلِهِ خِيَرَتِكَ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ وَخَاتَمِ النَّبِيِّيْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّي اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهِ وَانْقُلْنِيْ اِلٰي دَرَجَةِ التَّوْبَةِ اِلَيْكَ وَاَعِنّي بِالْبُكَاۤءِ عَلٰي نَفْسِي، فَقَدْ اَفْنَيْتُ بِالتَّسْوِيْفِ وَالْاٰمَالِ عُمْرِيْ وَقَدْ نَزَلْتُ مَنْزِلَةَ الاٰيِسِيْنَ مِنْ خَيْرِيْ فَمَنْ يَكُوْنُ اَسْوَءَ حَالًا مِنِّيْ اِنْ اَنَا نُقِلْتُ عَلٰي مِثْلِ حَالِيْ اِلٰي قَبْرِيْ لَمْ اُمَهِّدْهُ لِرَقْدَتِيْ وَلَمْ اَفْرُشْهُ بِالْعَمَلِ الصّالِحِ لِضَجْعَتِيْ وَمَالِيْ لَا اَبْكِيْ وَلَا اَدْرِيْ اِلٰي مَا يَكُوْنُ مَصِيْرِيْ وَاَرٰي نَفْسِيْ تُخادِعُنِيْ وَاَيَّامِيْ تُخَاتِلُنِيْ وَقَدْ خَفَقَتْ عِنْدَ رَاسِيْ اَجْنِحَةُ الْمَوْتِ فَمَالِيْ لَا اَبْكِيْ اَبْكِيْ لِخُرُوْجِ نَفْسِيْ اَبْكِيْ لِظُلْمَةِ قَبْرِيْ اَبْكِيْ لِضِيْقِ لَحَدِيْ اَبْكي لِسُؤَالِ مُنْكَرٍ وَنَكِيْرٍ اِيَّايَ اَبْكي لِخُرُوْجِيْ مِنْ قَبْرِيْ عُرْيَانًا ذَلِيْلًا حَامِلًا ثِقْلِيْ عَلٰي ظَهْرِيْ اَنْظُرُ مَرَّةً عَنْ يَمِيْنِيْ وَاُخْرٰي عَنْ شِمَالِيْ اِذِالْخَلَاۤئِقُ فِيْ شَانٍ غَيْرِ شَانِيْ لِكُلِّ امْرِئٍ مِّنْهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ شَانٌ يُغْنِيْهِ وُجُوْهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ مُّسْفِرَةٌ ضَاحِكَةٌ مُّسْتَبْشِرَةٌ وَوُجُوْهٌ يَّوْمَئِذٍ عَلَيْهَا غَبَرَةٌ تَرْهَقُهَا قَتَرَةٌ وَذِلَّةٌ سَيِّدِيْ عَلَيْكَ مُعَوَّلِيْ وَمُعْتَمَدِيْ وَرَجَاۤئِـيْ وَتَوَكُّلِيْ وَبِرَحْمَتِكَ تَعَلُّقِيْ تُصِيْبُ بِرَحْمَتِكَ مَنْ تَشَاۤءُ وَتَهْدِيْ بِكَرَامَتِكَ مَنْ تُحِبُّ فَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ عَلٰي مَا نَقَّيْتَ مِنَ الشِّرْكِ قَلْبِيْ وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ عَلٰي بَسْطِ لِسَانِيْ اَفَبِلِسَانِيْ هٰذَا الْكَالِّ اَشْكُرُكَ اَمْ بِغايَةِ جَهْدِيْ فِيْ عَمَلِيْ اُرْضِيْكَ وَمَا قَدْرُ لِسَانِيْ يَا رَبِّ في جَنْبِ شُكْرِكَ وَمَا قَدْرُ عَمَلِيْ فِيْ جَنْبِ نِعَمِكَ وَاِحْسانِكَ اِلٰهِيْ اِنَّ جُوْدَكَ بَسَطَ اَمَلِيْ وَشُكْرَكَ قَبِلَ عَمَلِيْ سَيِّدِيْ اِلَيْكَ رَغْبَتِيْ وَاِلَيْكَ رَهْبَتِيْ وَاِلَيْكَ تَامِيْلِيْ وَقَدْ سَاقَنِيْ اِلَيْكَ اَمَلِيْ وَعَلَيْكَ يَا وَاحِدِيْ عَكَفَتْ هِمَّتِيْ وَفِيْمَا عِنْدَكَ انْبَسَطَتْ رَغْبَتِيْ وَلَكَ خالِصُ رَجَاۤئِـيْ وَخَوْفِيْ وَبِكَ اَنِسَتْ مَحَبَّتِيْ وَاِلَيْكَ اَلْقَيْتُ بِيَدِيْ وَبِحَبْلِ طَاعَتِكَ مَدَدْتُ رَهْبَتِيْ يَا مَوْلَايَ بِذِكْرِكَ عَاشَ قَلْبِيْ وَبِمُنَاجَاتِكَ بَرَّدْتُ اَلَمَ الْخَوْفِ عَنِّيْ فَيَا مَوْلَايَ وَ يَا مُؤَمَّلِيْ وَيَا مُنْتَهٰي سُؤْلِيْ فَرِّقْ بَيْنِيْ وَبَيْنَ ذَنْبِيَ الْمَانِعِ لِيْ مِنْ لُزُوْمِ طَاعَتِكَ فَاِنَّمَا اَسْئَلُكَ لِقَدِيْمِ الرَّجَاۤءِ فِيْكَ وَعَظِيْمِ الطَّمَعِ مِنْكَ الَّذِيْ اَوْجَبْتَهُ عَلٰي نَفْسِكَ مِنَ الرَّافَةِ وَالرَّحْمَةِ فَالْاَمْرُ لَكَ، وَحْدَكَ لَا شَرِيْكَ لَكَ وَالْخَلْقُ كُلُّهُمْ عِيالُكَ وَفِيْ قَبْضَتِكَ وَكُلُّ شَيْئٍ خاضِعٌ لَكَ تَبارَكْتَ يَا رَبَّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ اِلٰهِيْ اِرْحَمْنِيْ اِذَا انْقَطَعَتْ حُجَّتِيْ وَكَلَّ عَنْ جَوابِكَ لِسَانِيْ وَطَاشَ عِنْدَ سُؤالِكَ اِيَّايَ لُبِّيْ فَيَا عَظِيْمَ رَجَاۤئِـيْ لَا تُخَيِّبْنِيْ اِذََا اشْتَدَّتْ فَاقَتِيْ وَلَا تَرُدَّنِيْ لِجَهْلِيْ وَلَا تَمْنَعْنِيْ لِقِلَّةِ صَبْرِيْ اَعْطِنِيْ لِفَقْرِيْ وَارْحَمْنِيْ لِضَعْفِيْ سَيِّدِيْ عَلَيْكَ مُعْتَمَدِيْ وَمُعَوَّلِيْ وَرَجاۤئِـيْ وَ تَوَكُّلِيْ وَبِرَحْمَتِكَ تَعَلُّقي وَبِفَنَاۤئِكَ اَحُطُّ رَحْلِيْ وَبِجُوْدِكَ اَقْصِدُ طَلِبَتِيْ وَبِكَرَمِكَ اَيْ رَبِّ اَسْتَفْتِحُ دُعَاۤئِـيْ وَلَدَيْكَ اَرْجُوْ فَاقَتِيْ وَبِغِنَاكَ اَجْبُرُ عَيْلَتِيْ وَتَحْتَ ظِلِّ عَفْوِكَ قِيَامِيْ وَاِلٰي جُوْدِكَ وَكَرَمِكَ اَرْفَعُ بَصَرِيْ وَاِلٰي مَعْرُوْفِكَ اُدِيْمُ نَظَرِيْ فَلَا تُحْرِقْنِيْ بِالنَّارِ وَاَنْتَ مَوْضِعُ اَمَلي وَلَا تُسْكِنِّيِ الْهاوِيَةَ فَاِنَّكَ قُرَّةُ عَيْنِيْ يَا سَيِّدِي لَا تُكَذِّبْ ظَنِّيْ بِاِحْسَانِكَ وَمَعْرُوْفِكَ فَاِنَّكَ ثِقَتِيْ وَلَا تَحْرِمْنِيْ ثَوَابَكَ فَاِنَّكَ الْعَارِفُ بِفَقْرِيْ اِلٰهِيْ اِنْ كَانَ قَدْ دَنَا اَجَلِيْ وَلَمْ يُقَرِّبْنِيْ مِنْكَ عَمَلِيْ فَقَدْ جَعَلْتُ الْاِعْتِرَافَ اِلَيْكَ بِذَنْبِيْ وَسَاۤئِلَ عِلَلِيْ اِلٰهِيْ اِنْ عَفَوْتَ فَمَنْ اَوْلٰي مِنْكَ بِالْعَفْوِ وَاِنْ عَذَّبْتَ فَمَنْ اَعْدَلُ مِنْكَ فِي الْحُكْمِ اِرْحَمْ فِيْ هٰذِهِ الدُّنْيَا غُرْبَتِيْ وَعِنْدَ الْمَوْتِ كُرْبَتِيْ وَفِي الْقَبْرِ وَحْدَتِيْ وَفِيْ اللَّحْدِ وَحْشَتِيْ واِذَا نُشِرْتُ لِلْحِسَابِ بَيْنَ يَدَيْكَ ذُلَّ مَوْقِفِيْ وَاغْفِرْ لِيْ مَا خَفِيَ عَلَي الْاٰدَمِيِّيْنَ مِنْ عَمَلِيْ وَاَدِمْ لِيْ مَا بِهِ سَتَرْتَنِيْ وَارْحَمْنِيْ سَرِيْعًا عَلَي الْفِرَاشِ تُقَلِّبُنِيْ اَيْدِيْ اَحِبَّتِيْ وَتَفَضَّلْ عَلَيَّ مَمْدُوْدًا عَلَي الْمُغْتَسَلِ يُقَلِّبُنِيْ صَالِحُ جِيْرَتِيْ وَتَحَنَّنْ عَلَيَّ مَحْموُلًا قَدْ تَنَاوَلَ الْاَقْرِبَاۤءُ اَطْرَافَ جَنَازَتِيْ وَجُدْ عَلَيَّ مَنْقُوْلًا قَدْ نَزَلْتُ بِكَ وَحِيْدًا فِيْ حُفْرَتِيْ وَارْحَمْ في ذٰلِكَ الْبَيْتِ الْجَدِيْدِ غُرْبَتِيْ حَتّٰي لَا اَسْتَانِسَ بِغَيْرِكَ يَا سَيِّدِيْ اِنْ وَكَلْتَنِيْ اِلٰي نَفْسِيْ هَلَكْتُ سَيِّدِيْ فَبِمَنْ اَسْتَغِيْثُ اِنْ لَمْ تُقِلْنِيْ عَثَرْتِيْ فَاِليٰ مَنْ اَفْزَعُ اِنْ فَقَدْتُ عِنَايَتَكَ فِيْ ضَجْعَتِيْ وَاِلٰي مَنْ اَلْتَجِئُ اِنْ لَمْ تُنَفِّسْ كُرْبَتِيْ سَيِّدِيْ مَنْ لِيْ وَمَنْ يَرْحَمُنِيْ اِنْ لَمْ تَرْحَمْنِيْ وَفَضْلَ مَنْ اُؤَمِّلُ اِنْ عَدِمْتُ فَضْلَكَ يَوْمَ فَاقَتِيْ وَاِلٰي مَنِ الْفِرَارُ مِنَ الذُّنُوْبِ اِذََا انْقَضٰي اَجَلِيْ سَيِّدِيْ لَا تُعَذِّبْنِيْ وَ اَنَا اَرْجُوْكَ اِلٰهِيْ حَقِّقْ رَجَاۤئِـيْ وَاٰمِنْ خَوْفِيْ فَاِنَّ كَثْرَةَ ذُنُوْبِيْ لَا اَرْجُوْ فِيْهَا اِلَّا عَفْوَكَ سَيِّدِيْ اَنَا اَسْئَلُكَ مَا لَا اَسْتَحِقُّ وَاَنْتَ اَهْلُ التَّقْوٰي وَاَهْلُ الْمَغْفِرَةِ فَاغْفِرْ لِيْ وَ اَلْبِسْنِيْ مِنْ نَظَرِكَ ثَوْبًا يُغَطِّيْ عَلَيَّ التَّبِعَاتِ وَتَغْفِرُهَا لِيْ وَ لَا اُطَالَبُ بِهَا اِنَّكَ ذُوْ مَنٍّ قَدِيْمٍ وَصَفْحٍ عَظِيْمٍ وَتَجَاوُزٍ كَرِيْمٍ اِلٰهِيْ اَنْتَ الَّذِيْ تُفيضُ سَيْبَكَ عَلٰي مَنْ لَّا يَسْئَلُكَ وَعَلَي الْجَاحِدِيْنَ بِرُبُوْبِيَّتِكَ فَكَيْفَ سَيِّدِيْ بِمَنْ سَئَلَكَ وَاَيْقَنَ اَنَّ الْخَلْقَ لَكَ وَالْاَمْرَ اِلَيْكَ تَبَارَكْتَ وَتَعَالَيْتَ يَا رَبَّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ سَيِّدِيْ عَبْدُكَ بِبَابِكَ اَقَامَتْهُ الْخَصَاصَةُ بَيْنَ يَدَيْكَ يَقْرَعُ بَابَ اِحْسَانِكَ بِدُعَاۤئِهِ فَلَا تُعْرِضْ بِوَجْهِكَ الْكَرِيْمِ عَنِّيْ وَاقْبَلْ مِنِّيْ مَا اَقُوْلُ فَقَدْ دَعَوْتُ بِهٰذَا الدُّعَاۤءِ وَاَنَا اَرْجُوْ اَنْ لَّا تَرُدَّنِيْ مَعْرِفَةً مِنِّيْ بِرَافَتِكَ وَرَحْمَتِكَ اِلٰهِيْ اَنْتَ الَّذِيْ لَا يُحْفِيْكَ سَاۤئِلٌ وَلَا يَنْقُصُكَ نَاۤئِلٌ اَنْتَ كَمَا تَقُوْلُ وَفَوْقَ مَا نَقُوْلُ اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّيْ اَسْئَلُكَ صَبْرًا جَمِيْلًا وَفَرَجًا قَرِيْبًا وَقَوْلًا صَادِقًا وَاَجْرًا عَظِيْمًا اَسْئَلُكَ يَا رَبِّ مِنَ الْخَيْرِ كُلِّهِ مَا عَلِمْتُ مِنْهُ وَمَا لَمْ اَعْلَمْ اَسْئَلُكَ اللّٰهُمَّ مِنْ خَيْرِ مَا سَئَلَكَ مِنْهُ عِبَادُكَ الصَّالِحُوْنَ يَا خَيْرَ مَنْ سُئِلَ وَاَجْوَدَ مَنْ اَعْطٰي اَعْطِني سُؤْلِيْ فِيْ نَفْسِيْ وَاَهْلِيْ وَوَالِدَيَّ وَوَلَدِيْ وَاَهْلِ حُزَانَتِيْ وَاِخْوَانِيْ فِيْكَ وَاَرْغِدْ عَيْشِيْ وَاَظْهِرْ مُرُوَّتِيْ وَاَصْلِحْ جَمِيْعَ اَحْوَالِيْ وَاجْعَلْنِيْ مِمَّنْ اَطَلْتَ عُمْرَهُ وَحَسَّنْتَ عَمَلَهُ وَاَتْمَمْتَ عَلَيْهِ نِعْمَتَكَ وَرَضِيْتَ عَنْهُ وَاَحْيَيْتَهُ حَيٰوةً طَيِّبَةً فِيْ اَدْوَمِ السُّرُوْرِ وَاَسْبَغِ الْكَرَامَةِ، وَاَتَمِّ الْعَيْشِ اِنَّكَ تَفْعَلُ مَا تَشَاۤءُ وَلَا يَفْعَلُ مَا يَشَاۤءُ غَيْرُكَ اَللّٰهُمَّ خُصَّنِيْ مِنْكَ بِخَاۤصَّةِ ذِكْرِكَ وَلَا تَجْعَلْ شَيْئًا مِمَّا اَتَقَرَّبُ بِهِ فِيْ اٰنَاۤءِ اللَّيْلِ وَ اَطْرَافِ النَّهَارِ رِيَاۤءً وَلَا سُمْعَةً وَلَا اَشَرًا وَلَا بَطَرًا وَاجْعَلْنِيْ لَكَ مِنَ الْخَاشِعِيْنَ اَللّٰهُمَّ اَعْطِنِي السِّعَةَ فِي الرِّزْقِ وَالْاَمْنَ فِي الْوَطَنِ وَقُرَّةَ الْعَيْنِ فِي الْاَهْلِ وَالْمَالِ وَالْوَلَدِ وَالْمُقَامَ فِيْ نِعَمِكَ عِنْدِيْ، وَالصِّحَّةَ فِي الْجِسْمِ وَالْقُوَّةَ فِي الْبَدَنِ وَالسَّلَامَةَ فِي الدِّيْنِ وَاسْتَعْمِلْنِيْ بِطَاعَتِكَ وَطَاعَةِ رَسُوْلِكَ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّي اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهِ اَبَدًا مَّا اسْتَعْمَرَتْنِيْ وَاجْعَلْنِيْ مِنْ اَوْفَرِ عِبَادِكَ عِنْدَكَ نَصِيْبًا في كُلِّ خَيْرٍ اَنْزَلْتَهُ وَتُنْزِلُهُ فِيْ شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ فِيْ لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ وَمَا اَنْتَ مُنْزِلُهُ فِيْ كُلِّ سَنَةٍ مِنْ رَحْمَةٍ تَنْشُرُهَا وَعَافِيَةٍ تُلْبِسُهَا وَبَلِيَّةٍ تَدْفَعُهَا وَحَسَنَاتٍ تَتَقَبَّلُهَا وَسَيِّئَاتٍ تَتَجَاوَزُ عَنْهَا وَارْزُقْنِيْ حَجَّ بَيْتِكَ الْحَرَامِ فِيْ عَامِنَا هٰذَا وَفِيْ كُلِّ عَامٍ وَارْزُقْنِيْ رِزْقًا وَاسِعًا مِنْ فَضْلِكَ الْوَاسِعِ وَاصْرِفْ عَنِّيْ يَا سَيِّدِي الْاَسْوَاۤءَ وَاقْضِ عَنِّي الدَّيْنَ وَالظُّلَامَاتِ، حَتّٰي لَا اَتَاَذّٰي بِشَيْئٍ مِنْهُ وَخُذْ عَنِّيْ بِاَسْمَاعِ وَاَبْصَارِ اَعْدَاۤئِـيْ وَحُسَّادِيْ وَالْبَاغِيْنَ عَلَيَّ وَانْصُرْنِيْ عَلَيْهِمْ وَاَقِرَّ عَيْنِيْ وَفَرِّحْ قَلْبِيْ وَاجْعَلْ لِيْ مِنْ هَمِّيْ وَكَرْبِيْ فَرَجًا وَمَخْرَجًا وَاجْعَلْ مَنْ اَرَادَنِيْ بِسُوْۤءٍ مِنْ جَمِيْعِ خَلْقِكَ تَحْتَ قَدَمَيَّ وَاكْفِنِيْ شَرَّ الشَّيْطَانِ وَشَرَّ السُّلْطَانِ وَسَيِّئَاتِ عَمَلِيْ وَطَهِّرْنِيْ مِنَ الذُّنُوْبِ كُلِّهَا وَاَجِرْنِيْ مِنَ النَّارِ بِعَفْوِكَ وَاَدْخِلْنِي الْجَنَّةَ بِرَحْمَتِكَ وَزَوِّجْنِيْ مِنَ الْحُوْرِالْعِيْنِ بِفَضْلِكَ وَاَلْحِقْنِيْ بِاَوْلِيَاۤئِكَ الصَّالِحِيْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ وَاٰلِهِ الْاَبْرَارِ الطَّيِّبِيْنَ الطَّاهِرِيْنَ الْاَخْيَارِ صَلَوَاتُكَ عَلَيْهِمْ وَعَلٰي اَجْسَادِهِمْ وَاَرْوَاحِهِمْ وَ رَحْمَةُ اللّٰهِ وَ بَرَكاتُهُ اِلٰهِيْ وَسَيِّدِيْ وَعِزَّتِكَ وَجَلَالِكَ لَئِنْ طَالَبَتْنِيْ بِذُنُوْبِيْ لَاُطَالِبَنَّكَ بِعَفْوِكَ وَ لَئِنْ طَالَبَتْنِيْ بِلُؤْمِيْ لَاُطَالِبَنَّكَ بِكَرَمِكَ وَلَئِنْ اَدْخَلْتَنِي النَّارَ لَاُخْبِرَنَّ اَهْلَ النَّارِ بِحُبِّيْ لَكَ اِلٰهِيْ وَسَيِّدِيْ اِنْ كُنْتَ لَا تَغْفِرُ اِلَّا لِاَوْلِيَاۤئِكَ وَاَهْلِ طَاعَتِكَ فَاِلٰي مَنْ يَفْزَعُ الْمُذْنِبُوْنَ وَاِنْ كُنْتَ لَا تُكْرِمُ اِلَّۤا اَهْلَ الْوَفَاۤءِ بِكَ فَبِمَنْ يَسْتَغيثُ الْمُسِيْۤئُوْنَ اِلٰهِيْ اِنْ اَدْخَلْتَنِي النَّارَ فَفِيْ ذٰلِكَ سُرُوْرُ عَدُوِّكَ وَاِنْ اَدْخَلْتَنِيْ الْجَنَّةَ فَفِيْ ذٰلِكَ سُرُوْرُ نَبِيِّكَ وَاَنَا وَاللّٰهِ اَعْلَمُ اَنَّ سُرُوْرَ نَبِيِّكَ اَحَبُّ اِلَيْكَ مِنْ سُرُوْرِ عَدُوِّكَ اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّيْ اَسْئَلُكَ اَنْ تَمْلَاَ قَلْبِيْ حُبًّا لَكَ وَخَشْيَةً مِّنْكَ وَتَصْدِيْقًا بِكِتَابِكَ وَاِيْمَانًا بِكَ وَفَرَقًا مِنْكَ وَشَوْقًا اِلَيْكَ يَا ذَاالْجَلَالِ وَالْاِكْرَامِ حَبِّبْ اِلَيَّ لِقَاۤءَكَ وَاَحْبِبْ لِقَاۤئِـيْ وَاجْعَلْ لِيْ فِيْ لِقَاۤئِكَ الرّاحَةَ وَالْفَرَجَ وَالْكَرَامَةَ اَللّٰهُمَّ اَلْحِقْنِيْ بِصَالِحِ مَنْ مَضٰي وَاجْعَلْنِيْ مِنْ صَالِحِ مَنْ بَقِيَ وَخُذْ بِيْ سَبِيْلَ الصّالِحِيْنَ وَاَعِنِّيْ عَلٰي نَفْسِيْ بِمَا تُعِيْنُ بِهِ الصَّالِحِيْنَ عَلٰي اَنْفُسِهِمْ وَاخْتِمْ عَمَلِيْ بِاَحْسَنِهِ وَاجْعَلْ ثَوَابِيْ مِنْهُ الْجَنَّةَ بِرَحْمَتِكَ وَاَعِنّي عَلٰي صَالِحٍ مَا اَعْطَيْتَنِيْ وَثَبِّتْنِيْ يَا رَبِّ، وَلَا تَرُدَّنِيْ فِيْ سُوْءٍ اِسْتَنْقَذْتَنِيْ مِنْهُ يَا رَبِّ الْعالَمِيْنَ اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّيْ اَسْئَلُكَ اِيْمَانًا لَا اَجَلَ لَهُ دُوْنَ لِقَاۤئِكَ اَحْيِنِيْ مَا اَحْيَيْتَنِيْ عَلَيْهِ وَتَوَفَّنِيْ اِذَا تَوَفَّيْتَنِيْ عَلَيْهِ وَابْعَثْنِيْ اِذَا بَعَثْتَنِيْ عَلَيْهِ وَاَبْرِءْ قَلْبِيْ مِنَ الرِّيَاۤءِ وَالشَّكِّ وَالسُّمْعَةِ فِيْ دِيْنِكَ حَتّٰي يَكُوْنَ عَمَلِيْ خَالِصًا لَكَ اَللّٰهُمَّ اَعْطِنِيْ بَصِيْرَةً فِيْ دِيْنِكَ وَفَهْمًا فِيْ حُكْمِكَ وَفِقْهًا فِيْ عِلْمِكَ وَكِفْلَيْنِ مِنْ رَحْمَتِكَ وَ وَرَعًا يَحْجُزُنِيْ عَنْ مَعَاصِيْكَ وَبَيِّضْ وَجْهِيْ بِنُوْرِكَ وَاجْعَلْ رَغْبَتِيْ فِيْمَا عِنْدَكَ وَتَوَفَّنِيْ فِيْ سَبِيْلِكَ وَعَلٰي مِلَّةَ رَسُوْلِكَ صَلَّي اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهِ اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّيْ اَعُوْذُبِكَ مِنَ الْكَسَلِ وَالْفَشَلِ وَالْهَمِّ وَالْجُبْنِ وَالْبُخْلِ وَالْغَفْلَةِ وَالْقَسْوَةِ وَالْمَسْكَنَةِ وَالْفَقْرِ وَالْفاقَةِ وَكُلِّ بَلِيَّةٍ وَالْفَوٰاحِشِ مَا ظَهَرَ مِنْهَا وَمَا بَطَنَ وَاَعُوْذُبِكَ مِنْ نَفْسٍ لَّا تَقْنَعُ وَبَطْنٍ لَّا يَشْبَعُ وَقَلْبٍ لَّا يَخْشَعُ وَدُعَاۤءٍ لَّا يُسْمَعُ وَعَمَلٍ لَّا يَنْفَعُ وَاَعُوْذُ بِكَ يَا رَبِّ عَلٰي نَفْسِيْ وَدِيْنِيْ وَمَالِيْ وَعَلٰي جَمِيْعِ مَا رَزَقْتَنِيْ مِنَ الشَّيْطانِ الرَّجِيْمَ اِنَّكَ اَنْتَ السَّمِيْعُ الْعَلِيْمُ اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنَّهُ لَا يُجِيْرُنِيْ مِنْكَ اَحَدٌ وَلَا اَجِدُ مِنْ دُوْنِكَ مُلْتَحَدًا فَلَا تَجْعَلْ نَفْسِيْ فِيْ شَيْئٍ مِنْ عَذَابِكَ وَلَا تَرُدَّنِيْ بِهَلَكَةٍ وَلَا تَرُدَّنِيْ بِعَذًابٍ اَلِيْمٍ اَللّٰهُمَّ تَقَبَّلْ مِنِّيْ وَاَعْلِ ذِكْرِيْ وَارْفَعْ دَرَجَتِيْ وَحُطَّ وِزْرِيْ وَلَا تَذْكُرْنِيْ بِخَطِيْئَتِيْ وَاجْعَلْ ثَوَابَ مَجْلِسِيْ وَثَوَابَ مَنْطِقِيْ وَثَوابَ دُعَاۤئِـيْ رِضَاكَ وَالْجَنَّةَ وَاعْطِنِيْ يَا رَبِّ جَمِيْعَ مَا سَئَلْتُكَ وَزِدْنِيْ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ، اِنِّيْ اِلَيْكَ رَاغِبٌ يَا رَبَّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنَّكَ اَنْزَلْتَ فِيْ كِتابِكَ اَنْ نَعْفُوَ عَمَّنْ ظَلَمَنَا وَقَدْ ظَلَمْنَا اَنْفُسَنَا فَاعْفُ عَنَّا، فَاِنَّكَ اَوْلٰي بِذٰلِكَ مِنَّا وَاَمَرْتَنَا اَنْ لَّا نَرُدَّ سَاۤئِلًا عَنْ اَبْوَابِنَا وَقَدْ جِئْتُكَ سَاۤئِلًا فَلَا تَرُدَّنِيْ اِلَّا بِقَضَاۤءِ حَاجَتِيْ، وَاَمَرْتَنَا بِالْاِحْسَانِ اِلٰي مَا مَلَكَتْ اِيْمَانُنَا وَنَحْنُ اَرِقَّاۤؤُكَ فَاَعْتِقْ رِقَابَنَا مِنَ النَّارِ يَا مَفْزَعِيْ عِنْدَ كُرْبَتِيْ وَيَا غَوْثِيْ عِنْدَ شِدَّتِيْ اِلَيْكَ فَزِعْتُ وَبِكَ اسْتَغَثْتُ وَلُذْتُ لَاۤ اَلُوْذُ بِسِوَاكَ وَلَا اَطْلُبُ الْفَرَجَ اِلَّا مِنْكَ فَاَغِثْنِيْ وَفَرِّجْ عَنِّيْ يَا مَنْ يَّفُكُّ الْاَسِيْرَ، وَيَعْفُوْ عَنِ الْكَثِيْرِ اِقْبِلْ مِنِّي الْيَسِيْرَ وَاعْفُ عَنِّي الْكَثِيْرَ اِنَّكَ اَنْتَ الرَّحِيْمُ الْغَفُوْرُ اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّيْ اَسْئَلُكَ اِيْمَانًا تُبَاشِرُ بِهِ قَلْبِيْ وَيَقِيْنًا صَادِقًا حَتّٰي اَعْلَمَ اَنَّهُ لَنْ يُّصِيْبَنِيْ اِلَّا مَا كَتَبْتَ لِيْ وَرَضِّنِيْ مِنَ الْعَيْشِ بِمَا قَسَمْتَ لِيْ يَا اَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ

Translation:

O Allah: Do not discipline me by means of Your punishment, And do not subject me to Your planned strategy . From where do I obtain the bounties, O' Lord, while none can be found except with You, And how can I seek salvation while it can be granted by none but You, Neither can the good-doer do without Your help and mercy, nor can the sinful one who offended You (when sinning), and displeased You, bypass the realm of Your power and capacity. O' my Lord, O' my Lord, O' my Lord... Repeat this phrase as many times as possible in one breath:

I knew of You by You, and You directed me to You and called me to You, and without You I would not have known what You are. All Praise is for Allah whom I call upon with my needs then He answers me, even though I was slow when He calls upon me. All Praise is for Allah whom I supplicate and He grants me (what I plead for) even though I was stingy when He sought a loan from me. All Praise is for Allah whom I call upon with my needs whenever I wish, and I entrust Him with my secrets without an intercessor, and He grants me my wishes. All Praise is for Allah whom I do not plead to anyone but Him, for if I pleaded to others, they would not grant me. All Praise is for Allah who dignified me by becoming the Disposer of my affairs, instead of making me rely on others who then would humiliate me. All Praise is for Allah who endeared me even though He is not in need of me. All Praise is for Allah who treats me with clemency, just as if I have no sin. So my Lord is the most praised by me of all, and most worthy of my praise. O' Allah! I find the roads of wishes to You wide open, And the rivers of hope to You vast and running, And counting on Your bountifulness (in times of need) for those who wished You freely accessible, And the gates of prayer to those who are disparate, wide ajar, And I know that You are for those who ask You in the position of answer, And for those who are distressed, You are in a posture of rescue. And in disparately seeking Your generosity and being content with Your judgment, I find it compensating from the rejection of the misers, and more satisfying than the handouts of the selfish. And truly traveling to You is short in duration, and You do not veil Yourself from Your creatures unless their own misdeeds would block them from You. And I have sought You for my wish, and directed my need to You, and I depend on You for my rescue, and I assign my pleading to You by praying to You, doing this while knowing that I am not worthy of Your listening to me nor do I have a right on You to pardon me, but I do so because I trust in Your generosity, and I submit to Your true promise (to answer our prayers) and I take refuge through believing in Your unity, and through my certainty of knowledge about You, that indeed I have no other god or lord but You, only You; there is no partner for You. O' my Lord! You did say and all of what You say is true and what You promise is unconditional that " O' (believers) ask Allah of His bounty, for Allah is Merciful towards you", And it is not from Your features, O' my Master, to order me to ask and prevent the answer, and You are the Grantor of all bounties on all residents of Your kingdom and the Giver of Your consoling tenderness. O' my Lord! You have brought me up in Your gifts, and bounties since I was youthful, and elevated my designation as I grew older, So, O' the One who brought me up in this life with His benevolence, bountifulness and blessings, and indicated to me His forgiveness and generosity in the hereafter. My knowledge, O' my Master, is that which guides me to You and my love is my intercessor to You, and I am trusting of my evidence with Your guidance and comfortable of my intercessor with Your intercession. I pray to You, O' my master, with a tongue that has been paralyzed by its sin, O' my Lord, I confide to You with a heart that has been doomed by its mischief; I pray to You, O' my Lord, frightened but wishful, hopeful but fearful If I contemplate my sins, O' my Lord, I become scared, but when I remember Your generosity I yearn, So, if You forgive, You are the most merciful and if You punish, You have not unjustly judged. My excuse, O' Allah in my daring to ask You, even though I have committed what You hate, is Your benevolence and generosity, and my preparation for my adversity, given that I lack shyness (in committing sin), is Your forbearance and mercy. And I am wishful that my hope will not be disappointed, so fulfill my ambition and accept my prayer, O' The Best who was ever prayed to! O' The Most bountiful who was ever wished! My hope, my Master is ever great, but my deeds have worsened, so grant me from Your pardon by as much as I had hoped, and please, do not judge me by my worst mischief, for Your generosity is greater than punishing the sinners, and Your forbearance and patience is higher than recompensing the inadequates. I am, my Master, seeking refuge through Your bountifulness, I am escaping from You to You, while anticipating Your promise to forgive those who possessed good convictions toward You. Who am I, my Lord, and what is my danger! Provide me with Your bounties and grant me charity with Your pardon, O' my Lord, cover me with Your protection and pardon me of my punishment by the honor of you face. For if any one today other than You would have known of my sin, I would not have sinned, And if I feared that You may hasten my punishment, I would have avoided sinning, Not because You are not an important watcher, nor an unworthy onlooker, but because You, my Lord, are the best secret keeper, and the Wisest of all rulers, and Most generous of all generous. O' Protector of secrets! O' Oft-forgiver of sins! O' Knower of all that is hidden! You protect the secretive sin with Your generosity and You delay my punishment with Your patience, So to You extends all the Praise for having known and yet been patient, and for having pardoned even though You are capable (of punishing). And what motivates and dares me to disobey You is Your patience with me, and what invites me to the lack of shyness (from You) is Your protection of my (concealed) sins. And what rushes me towards Your forbidden actions is my awareness of the vastness of Your mercy and the greatness of Your forgiveness. O' Forbearer! O' Generous! O' One who is living and self-subsisting! O' Forgiver of sin! O' Acceptor of repentance! O' Greatest giver of all good! O' Ancient in bountifulness! I call upon Your beautiful protection of secrets, I call upon Your abundant pardon, I call upon Your neighboring relief, I call upon Your quick rescue, I call upon Your vast mercy and compassion, I call upon Your bountiful gifts, I call upon Your blessed awards, I call upon Your splendid favors, I call upon Your immense bountifulness, I call upon Your enormous endowments, I call upon Your ancient benefaction, I call upon Your benevolence, O' Most Generous. By it (what I mentioned of Your features) I seek Your rescue, and by Your compassion, please relieve me. O' Benevolent! O' Creator of beauty! O' Benefactor! O' Bountiful! I do not depend on our (good) deeds to achieve salvation from Your punishment, rather I trust it to Your bountifulness toward us, for You are the Lord of righteousness and the Lord of forgiveness. You initiate Your giving through Your graciousness and You pardon sin with Your generosity, and we do not know what we should praise more, is it the beauties that You distribute or the sins whose secretiveness You protect, or the greatness of what You have granted and fulfilled or the many misfortunes You have averted and ills You have cured. O' The lover of whomever endeared You! O' The delight of the eye of who sought You for refuge and dedicated himself to You! You are the well doer and we are the sinners, So pardon, O' my Lord, the ugly that we have with the beauties that You have, And what ignorance, O' my Lord, can not be accommodated by Your benevolence? And what era is longer than Your patience? And what significance is our deeds compared with Your awards? And how can we hail our good deeds when we observe Your generosity? Yet how can sinners despair when they are encompassed by Your vast mercy? O' Vast Forgiver! O' Extender of both hands with mercy! I swear with Your exalted might, O' Master, that if You rebuked me, I would not depart from Your door, and I won't cease to compliment You since I have indeed come to grasp the knowledge of Your generosity and benevolence, And You are the doer of whatever You desire, You punish whomever You wish, with whatever You wish, and however You wish, and You bestow Your mercy on whomever You wish, with whatever You wish, and however You wish, You are never questioned about Your doings, neither is there any struggle in Your kingdom, nor is there any partnership in Your command, or conflict in Your judgment, and no one can oppose You in Your disposition of affairs, To You belongs all of the creation and command, Indeed Allah, the Most Glorious, is the Cherisher and Sustainer of the worlds. O' my Lord! This is the posture of the one who sought refuge through You and allied himself with Your generosity, and became accustomed to Your forbearance and favors, And You are the benevolent whose forgiveness is never strained, neither are Your bounties ever decreasing, nor is Your mercy ever lacking, And we have known with certainty of Your ancient pardon, great bountifulness and vast mercy, Would You, O' Allah, ever disappoint our thoughts or let down our hopes? No never, O' Most Generous! for it is not what we expect of You, nor is it what we aspire for, O' Allah, we have a greater and ever lasting hope in You, We anticipate prolonged and immense prospect in You, We anticipate great desire in You, We disobeyed You and now we wish that You protect our secret (sins), And we prayed to You and we hope You would answer us, So fulfill our aspiration, O' our Master, for otherwise, we realize (the punishment) we deserve as a result of our bad deeds, But Your awareness of our conduct and our knowledge that You indeed won't send us away from You, has motivated us to seek You, and even though we are not worthy of Your mercy, You are worthy of bestowing Your generosity on us and on all the sinners due to Your vast compassion, So, award us with what You are worthy of, and grant us for we are in need of Your bounty. O' Most Forgiving! With Your light we were guided and with Your bounties we became richer, and with Your favors we are encountered mornings and evenings, Our sins are before You and we ask You, O' Master, for forgiveness and we hereby repent, You befriend us with Your gifts but we reward You by sins, Your bounty to us is ever descending, but our mischief to You is (ever) ascending. And from before and until now, Your honored angel still brings You the news of our ugly deeds but that does not prevent You from continuing to surround us with Your grace, and kindly provide us with Your holy features. So, I glorify and praise You for the extent of Your patience, greatness and generosity as a Beginner (of creation) and eventual Claimer of this world. Holiest are Your names, And glorified is Your praise, And honored are Your favors and good deeds. You, my Lord, are more vast in bounty and greater in patience and clemency than to judge me according to my wrong doing and fault, So I beg You : Forgiveness, forgiveness, forgiveness, O' my Master, O' my Master, O' my Master. O' Lord! Occupy our time with Your remembrance, And guard us from Your wrath, And protect us from Your punishment, And grant us from Your rewards, And award us from Your bounties, And provides us the means to conduct pilgrimage to Your house (Ka'ba), and to visit the tomb of Your Prophet, may Your peace, mercy, forgiveness and graciousness be bestowed upon him and his family, Indeed, You are close and forthcoming with Your answer (to our prayers). And assist us in abiding by Your obedience, and claim our souls while we are in Your (righteous) congregation and followers of the tradition of Your Prophet, may peace of Allah be upon him and his family. O' Lord! Forgive me and my parents and grant them mercy as they have raised me since I was youthful, reward their good deeds with bountifulness and (pardon) their sins with forgiveness. O' Lord! Forgive the believers, be they men or women, living or dead, and let us follow on their path with good deeds. O' Lord! Forgive (for) the living or deceased of us, (believers) the present and the absent, our male and female, our young and old, our free and our slave, Indeed the antagonists of Allah lied and enormously wandered astray, and incurred a major loss. O' Lord! Bestow Your peace on Muhammad and his family, and conclude my life in virtue, and resolve what worries me from the affairs of this life and in the hereafter, and do not allow anyone who won't treat me justly to come in contact with me, and provide me with Your everlasting protection and do not deprive me of the best of the amenities. You graced me with, and confer on me from Your bounties, vast awards that are lawful and good. O' Lord! Guard me with Your safeguard, And protect me with Your protection, And ally me with Your alliance, And award me the ability to conduct pilgrimage to Your sacred house (Ka'ba) in this year and in every year, and to visit the tomb of Your prophet and the Imams, peace be upon them, and do not deprive me, Oh Lord, from visiting these honorable sanctuaries and noble positions. O' Lord! Accept my repentance so that I may not disobey You, And inspire me with righteousness and its implementation, And the observance of Your presence in the night and the day as long as You let me live, O' Allah and Cherisher of the worlds. O' Lord! I, whenever I thought I was prepared and ready and rose to pray, before Your hands, and confided to You, You cast sleep on me when I prayed, and You prevented me from confiding to You when I confided, Why is it that whenever I felt content about the goodness of my core, and my companionships have neared that of the repentants, a sin would occur and cause my feet to stumble, and deprive me from Your service, O' my Master, Maybe You have expelled me from Your door, and retired me from Your service, or maybe You observed my disregard of Your right on me and thus distanced me, or maybe You saw me headed away from (Your path) and thus You withdrew me, or maybe You found me to be in the position of the liars so You rejected me, or maybe You saw that I was not grateful of Your rewards so You deprived me, or maybe You observed my absence from the assembly of the scholars and thus put me down, or maybe You found me to be one of the unheeding so You despaired me from Your mercy, or maybe You found me frequenting the assembly of the unfaithful, so between me and them You deserted me, or maybe You did not like to listen to my prayers so You distanced me, or maybe You equated me with my crime and sin, or maybe You punished me for my lack of shyness from You. So if You forgive, O' Lord, You have forgiven the many sinners before me. For Your generosity, O' Lord, is higher than punishing the delinquents, and I am seeking refuge with Your bountifulness, and I am escaping from You to You, and anticipating Your promise to pardon those who possessed good convictions about You. O' My Lord! You are more vast in bountifulness and greater in patience than to judge me according to my deed, or to stumble me with my sin. And who am I, my Master, and what is my danger? award me Your benevolence, O' my Master! And render me Your pardon, and cover me with the protection of my secrets, and pardon me from Your chastisement with Your benevolent face. O' Master! I am the young one whom You raised, And I am the ignorant whom You educated, And I am the misled whom You guided, And I am the humiliated one whom You elevated, And I am the frightened one whom You safeguarded, And the hungry one whom You fed, And the thirsty whose thirst You quenched, And the naked whom You dressed, And the poor whom You made wealthy, And the weak whom You strengthened, And the insignificant whom You honored, And the sick whom You cured, And the beggar whom You provided charity to, And the sinner whose secret You have protected, And the wrong doer whom You aided, And I am the little (creature) You made more significant, And the oppressed whom You made victorious, And I am the escapee whom You gave refuge to, I am the one, O' Allah, who did not revere You (when I committed sins) in my seclusions, nor observed Your (commands) in public, I am the possessor of the great craftiness (bad intentions), I am the one who dared His Master, I am the one who disobeyed the Commander of the skies, I am the one who awarded the briberies upon the disobeying of the Magnificent (Allah), I am the one who when I was forewarned about it (sins), I hastily raced to it, I am the one whom You awaited (His reverence) but I did not comprehend, and You veiled my secret (sins) but I did not become demure, and I committed sins until I belligerently insisted, and You then disregarded me but I did not care, but with Your benevolence, You postponed my punishment, and with Your veil, You safeguarded my secret (sins) as if You have overlooked me, and You shielded me from punishment called upon me by my sins all to the extent that it appeared as if You shied off from me. O' my Lord! I did not disobey You when I did because I rejected Your divinity, or because I belittled Your commands, or that I was daringly challenging Your punishment, or that I did not appreciate Your forewarning, Yet the mistake has occurred, and my self misled me, and my sinful desires won over me, and my misery helped me to it, and Your protective veil over my sins lured me, For I have disobeyed You and opposed You with my own will, and now from Your retribution who would rescue me, and from the hands of Your angels of punishment tomorrow (in the hereafter), who would redeem me, and with whose rope do I hold on to if You cut off Your rope from me, so what a pity for what Your book has recorded on me, Indeed, if it was not for my anticipation of Your generosity and vast mercifulness as well as Your ordering me not to lose hope (in Your salvation) that I would have despaired whenever I remembered it (my sin). O' the Best of whom a worshiper has ever prayed, and the Foremost of whom anyone has wished! O' Lord! In the name of the esteemed Islam, I implore You, And with the holy Qur'an I take witness to You, And with my love for the unschooled Prophet (Muhammad) The Quraishian (the main tribe in Mecca) The Hashimite (The family name of Prophet Muhammad), The Arabian, The Tuhamian (the name of the region where Quraish is located) The Meccan, The Medinan (tracing prophet Muhammad's roots to the city of Medina where He migrated to), I seek to be closer to You (I seek favor to You) So please do not disrupt the serenity of my faith, And please do not cause my ultimate destiny to be similar to that of those who worshipped other than You. For, indeed there are some who believed only to the extent of their tongues so that they may save their lives and they gathered what they wished, But we have believed in You with our tongues and with our hearts so that You may pardon us, So grant us what we wish for, And anchor our hope in You, in our hearts, And do not let our hearts go astray after You have guided us, And grant us Your mercy, Indeed You are the Utmost Granter. And I swear with Your glory, that even if You send me away that I would not depart from Your door, and I would not cease to compliment You, for my heart has been fully inspired with the knowledge of Your benevolence and vastness of compassion. To where would a slave go but to his master, To where would a creature seek refuge but to his Creator. O' my Lord! Even if You tied me with the chains of hell, And You deprived me Your flowing stream (of favors) from between the witnesses (of the day of Judgment), And You pointed out my scandals to the eyes of Your worshipers, And You ordered me to hell, And You isolated me from the company of the faithfuls, I would not end my hope in You, and I would not dismiss my reassurance of Your pardon, and my love to You would not depart from my heart, I do not forget the helping hand You bestowed upon me, and Your protection of my secrets in life. O' my Master! Remove the adoration of worldliness from my heart, And unite me with Mustafa (Muhammad: the chosen messenger) and his family, the dearest of Your creatures and the last of the prophets, Muhammad, Peace from Allah upon him and his family, And transfer me to the level of repentance to You, And help me to cry for myself for I have wasted my life away with procrastination and false hopes, And now I have come to You hopeless of my goodness, Who is more worse off than me, if now I am passed on in my present state to a grave that I have not prepared for my repose and I did not line with good deeds for my drowse, And why would I not weep for I have no knowledge of my fate and I observe my self deceiving itself, and my days are fading away, and the wings of death have flapped close by, So why wouldn't I cry! I cry for surrendering my life, I cry because of the darkness of my grave, I cry because of the narrowness of my grave, I cry for the questioning of Munkar and Nakeer of me (the names of the two angels that question the dead after being laid in the graves), I cry from my leaving my grave (in the hereafter) naked, humiliated and carrying my book (of deeds) on my back, I look to the right once and to the left once and I discover that people today have other concern than mine, for every person that day has a concern of his own, some faces today are bright, laughing and joyful, while other faces that day are dusty, loaded with submission and humility. O' Master! I settle my destination, dependence, hope and reliance upon You, And with Your mercy, I cling; You bestow Your mercy on whomever You please and You guide with Your benevolence whomever You like, So praise to You for Your purifying my heart from taking false partners to You, And praise to You for releasing my tongue, Is it with this heavy tongue of mine I thank You or with the utmost effort of mine do I satisfy You? And what is the value of my tongue, O' Lord, when it comes to thanking You? And what is the value of my good deeds beside Your gifts and fortitude with me? O' my Lord! Indeed Your generosity has expanded my hope (in You), And your acceptance has led to the taking of my deed. O' my Master! To You I direct my aim, fear, and meditation, And my hope has driven me to You, And on You O' Mighty One, I concentrate my initiative, And upon what You possess I unfolded my desire, And my ultimate hope and fear rest upon You, And with You, I cheerfully contemplated Your adoration And I spread my hands wide open to You, And with the rope of Your obedience I eased my fear. O' my Lord! In Your remembrance, my heart flourished, And in confiding to You, I relieved my pain of fright. So, O' my Lord! And O' the One whom I hope! And O' the One who is the Ultimate Destination and Grantor of my request! Separate between me and this sin of mine that disables me from abiding by Your obedience, For I only ask You due to the ancient and long resting of hope upon You as well as the great coveting of You, in what You obliged yourself with from compassion and mercy. Evidently, the command is yours, for You are the only One without partners, and all creatures are in Your maintenance and within Your grip, and everything submits to You, blessed You are O' Lord and Cherisher of the worlds. O' my Lord! Bestow Your mercy upon me when my excuses have failed and when my tongue has ceased to be able to answer to You (on judgment day) and my intellect has subsided upon Your questioning, So O' to whom I submit my utmost hope, do not disappoint me when my tragedy has intensified, and do not reject me due to my ignorance and conceit, and do not deprive me (Your mercy) due to my lack of patience, and provide for me for I am poor, and bestow Your mercy upon me for I am weak. O' my Master! Upon You I rest my dependence, destination, hope and reliance, And with Your mercy I cling, And on Your grounds, I conclude my journey, And to Your generosity I direct my request, And with Your generosity, O' Allah, I commence my prayer, And with You I seek relief from my indigence, And with Your wealth I mend my poverty, And under the shadow of Your pardon, I stand, And to Your generosity and benevolence, I raise my eyesight, And to Your favor, I prolong my vision, So, burn me not in the hell fire because You are where I place my hope, And, reside me not in the bottomless pit (hell) for You are indeed the comfort of my eye. O' my Master! Disappoint not my expectation in Your benevolence and known favor because You are my Confidant and Security, And do not deprive me of Your reward for You are Aware of my poverty. O' my Lord! If the end of my life has neared and my deeds did not bring me near You, then I hereby render my admission of sin as my justification. O' my Lord! If You pardon (me), then no one is more worthy of pardoning than You, And if You punish (me), then no one is more just than You in judgment, (O' Lord) have mercy toward my expatriation in this life, and my tragedy upon death, and my solitude in the grave, and my loneliness in the grave, and because whenever I am dispatched for judgment before Your hands, my situation is humiliated, and forgive what is concealed from the humans of my (secretive bad) deeds, and prolong for me what You veiled my (secret sins) with, and confer Your benevolence on me when I am (laying) motionless on the (death) bed so that the beloved of my relatives surround me, and grant me Your bountifulness when I am stretched on the funeral bath so that the good-deeded of my community may wash me, and bestow Your kindred tenderness upon me when I am carried while my relatives hand over the extremities of my coffin, and award me Your generosity when I am transported and finally delivered and left alone in my grave, and have mercy on my solitary confinement in this new residence so that I may not be comforted by anyone but You. O' my Master! If You entrusted me (with my affairs), I would perish My Master, then whom do I seek rescue with if You would not avert my stumble, To whom would I seek shelter with if I lost Your kindred care in my dormancy, To whom would I resort to if You did not relieve my destitution. My Master! Who will be on my side and who will bestow mercy on me if You do not? And whose bounties would I anticipate if I lacked Your grants on the day of my destitution (judgment day)? And to where shall I run away from my sins when my fate is concluded? My Master! Punish me not while I am pleading to You! O' my Lord! Fulfill my desire and secure my fright because I can not avert (the result of) my numerous sins except with Your pardon. My Master! I am asking You for what I do not deserve, but You are the Lord of righteousness and the Lord of forgiveness, So, forgive for me and veil me from Your sight with a cloak that masks all my liabilities, thus forgiving me so that I may never be reclaimed with it, Indeed, You are the possessor of ancient favor, great pardon and generous forgiveness. O' my Lord! You are the One who overflows the streams (of favors) on those who do not even implore You and on those who rejected Your divinity, So how would You not, O' Master, grant the same to the one who implored You and submitted with certainty that the creation is yours and the command is to You? Praised and glorified You are, O' Lord and Cherisher of the worlds. O' my Master! Your slave is at Your doorstep. His desperate need has rooted him before Your hands. He knocks on the gate of Your generosity with his prayer, and he solicits Your gracious consideration (in relieving his dilemma) through his hearty anticipation (in You), So please do not turn Your honorable face away from me and accept from me what I plead for, For I have pleaded with this prayer and I am hopeful that You would not turn me down, since I have always known of Your benevolence and mercy. O' my Lord! You are the one who is never burdened by the pleas of the beseecher, nor are You ever encumbered in rewarding (Your) grantee, Verily, You are how You describe Yourself and above what we describe. O' my Lord! I ask You (to grant me) a rewarding patience, a neighboring relief, a true affirmation, and a great reward; I ask You, O' my Lord, for all the good whether I know of it or not, I ask You, O' my Lord, for the best of what have asked You Your righteous believers. O' the Foremost of whom was ever asked! and the Most Generous that has ever given, Fulfill my quest in myself, my family, parents, children, proximate community, and my brothers (and sisters) in You, And enrich my living, and ascend my bravery and improve all of my affairs, And cause me to be a (person) whom You have destined to have prolonged his life, and improved his deeds, and consummated Your gifts upon him, and accepted his performance, and made live a good life in permanent joy utmost integrity, and complete living, Indeed, You do as You please, and not as others please. O' Lord! Distinguish me with Your distinctive remembrance, And do not allow any of what I seek closeness to You with (of good deeds), in the midst of nights or the extremes of days, to be an object of pretension, seeking of reputation, arrogance, or extravagance. And cause me to be of those who humble themselves to You. O' my Lord! Award me vastness in sustenance, And security in my homeland, And the comfort of the eye in family, finances and offspring, And the continued enjoyment of Your bounties, And health and strength in the body, And safeguard in faith, And forever utilize me in (establishing) Your obedience and that of Prophet Muhammad peace of Allah upon him and his household, as everlong as You advance my age, And compel me to have the biggest share among Your worshipers in whatever good You ever caused to descend and especially what You award in the month of Ramadan, in the Night of the Decree, and what You are awarding every year from mercy that You dispense, and good health that You harness, and crises that You deter, and good deeds that You accept and bless, and sins that You acquit. And allot me with the ability to conduct pilgrimage to Your holy house in this year and every year thereafter, And grant me vast sustenance from Your vast bounties, And protect me, O' my Master, from encountering the misfortunes (of life) And fulfill on my behalf all my borrowing and satisfy any injustice (I committed to others) so that I may not be harmed by any of it, And preoccupy the hearing and sight of my enemies and the jealous and those who oppress me and award me victory over them, And comfort my eye, And delight my heart, And award me relief and resolution in all of my misfortunes and extremities, And compel any one who wishes me harm from all Your creatures, to be beneath my feet, And guard me from the evil of Satan and the evil of the monarch as well as the evil brought about by my wrong doings, And cleanse me from all sins, And salvage me from the hell fire with Your (divine) pardon, And award me paradise with Your mercy, And marry me to the companions with the beautiful, big and lustrous eyes with Your bountifulness, And reunite me with Your righteous servants Muhammad and his household, the righteous, the virtuous, the pure and the elite, Your peace, mercy and blessings be upon them, their bodies, and their souls. O' my Lord and my Master! I swear with Your exalted might and majesty that if You reclaim my sins that I will call upon Your mercy, and if You reclaim my meanness, I will call upon Your generosity, and if You forward me to the hell fire, I will inform its inmates about my adoration of You. O' my Lord and my Master! If You were to not forgive but Your devotees and constant obeyers, then to whom would the sinners resort to? And if You were to not honor but the people of loyalty to You, then to whom the offenders would resort to? O' my Lord! If You cause me to enter the hell fire, it will be to the pleasure of Your enemy, But if You cause me to enter paradise, it will be to the pleasure of Your Prophet, And verily, Oh Allah, I know that the pleasure of Your Prophet is more favorable to You than the pleasure of Your enemy. O' my Lord! I ask You to saturate my heart with Your love, fearing and observing You, believing in Your (holy) book, faith in You, fright from You, and longing to You. O' the one who is full of majesty, bounty and honor! Render me loving of Your meeting and love my meeting, And grant me in meeting You comfort, happiness and honor. O' my Lord! Unite me with the virtuous of those who preceded me, And render me to be among the virtuous of who remained, And lead me to the way of the virtuous, And aid me in restraining myself (from sin) with whatever You aid Your righteous believers with, And culminate my deeds with their best, And make my reward from it heaven with Your mercy, And assist me in implementing the virtues that You granted me, And anchor me (on the right path) O' Lord! And return me not to an error You rescued me from before, O' the Lord and Cherisher of the worlds! O' my Lord! I ask You to grant me a faith that has no maturity until I meet You, Prolong my life as long as You maintain me on it, and claim my soul as long as You claim my soul while it is on it (faith), and resurrect me as long as You resurrect me on it; And purify my heart from pretension, doubt, and seeking reputation through Your religion so that all my deeds would be solely intended for You. O' my Lord! Award me insight in Your religion And understanding in Your judgment, And awareness in Your knowledge, And surety in Your mercy And piety that shields me from committing sin, And brighten my face with Your light, And render my affinity solely in what You possess, And claim my soul on Your path and on the religion of Your Prophet, Peace of Allah upon him and his household. O' my Lord! I seek refuge with You from laziness, failure, misery, cowardliness, stinginess, unawareness, cruelty, humility, poverty, indigence and every calamity; and the exorbitant of sins whether they are apparent or concealed, And I seek refuge in You from a self that is never content, and a stomach that is never satisfied, and a heart that is never pious, and a prayer that is not accepted, and a deed that is not beneficial (if committed). And I depend upon You O' Lord, to safeguard my self, my religion, my finances, and all of what You awarded me, from the evil of the cursed Satan; Indeed, You are the One who hears and knows all things. O' my Lord! Indeed no one can shield me from Your (punishment) and I can not find before You any other shelter, So leave not in me any deed worthy of Your punishment and lead me not back into jeopardy and lead me not into painful retribution. O' my Lord! Accept my prayer And renown my commemoration, And elevate my degree, And forgive my sin. And remember me not with my bad deed, And culminate the reward of my convening, my speaking, and my prayer in Your satisfaction and heaven. And award me, O' Lord, all of what I asked You and increase it with Your bountifulness; Indeed, I am truly full of desire toward You, O' Lord and Cherisher of the worlds. O' my Lord! You have revealed in Your (holy) book for us to forgive those who committed injustice toward us, and we have committed injustice (by sinning) toward ourselves so pardon our conduct, for You are more worthy of pardoning than we are; And You commanded us not turn away the needy who knock on our doors, and I hereby come to You needy, so turn me not away until You fulfill my need; And You commanded us to treat justly those whose freedom reins we hold, and You hold our reins of freedom, so liberate our necks from the hell fire. O' the Shelter I seek whenever I am in misfortune! O' my Guardian from my hardship! To You I resort, and with You I appealed for help and sought refuge, And I would never seek anyone but You, nor would I ever request relief but from You, So come to my aid, and relieve me. O' One who liberates the captives, accepts the little (of good deeds), and pardons the numerous (of sin), accept from me the little (good) I have done, and forgive for me the numerous (sins I have committed); Indeed, You are the Most Merciful and Oft-forgiving. O' my Lord! I ask You to grant me a faith that You endure my heart on, And a true certainty in believing so that I may ascertain that indeed nothing will happen to me except for what You have destined for me, And award me contentment in with whatever You have apportioned for me, O' the Most Merciful of the merciful. Peace of Thee be upon Prophet Muhammad and his honored family.

سُبْحَانَ مَنْ يَعْلَمُ جَوَارِحَ الْقُلُوبِ سُبْحَانَ مَنْ يُحْصِي عَدَدَ الذُّنُوبِ سُبْحَانَ مَنْ لا يَخْفَى عَلَيْهِ خَافِيَةٌ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَ الْاَرَضِينَ سُبْحَانَ الرَّبِّ الْوَدُودِ سُبْحَانَ الْفَرْدِ الْوِتْرِ سُبْحَانَ الْعَظِيمِ الْاَعْظَمِ سُبْحَانَ مَنْ لا يَعْتَدِي عَلَى اَهْلِ مَمْلَكَتِهِ سُبْحَانَ مَنْ لا يُؤَاخِذُ اَهْلَ الْاَرْضِ بِاَلْوَانِ الْعَذَابِ سُبْحَانَ الْحَنَّانِ الْمَنَّانِ سُبْحَانَ الرَّءُوفِ الرَّحِيمِ سُبْحَانَ الْجَبَّارِ الْجَوَادِ سُبْحَانَ الْكَرِيمِ الْحَلِيمِ سُبْحَانَ الْبَصِيرِ الْعَلِيمِ سُبْحَانَ الْبَصِيرِ الْوَاسِعِ سُبْحَانَ اللّٰهِ عَلَى اِقْبَالِ النَّهَارِ سُبْحَانَ اللّٰهِ عَلَى اِدْبَارِ النَّهَارِ سُبْحَانَ اللّٰهِ عَلَى اِدْبَارِ اللَّيْلِ وَ اِقْبَالِ النَّهَارِ وَ لَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَ الْمَجْدُ وَ الْعَظَمَةُ وَ الْكِبْرِيَاءُ مَعَ كُلِّ نَفَسٍ وَ كُلِّ طَرْفَةِ عَيْنٍ وَ كُلِّ لَمْحَةٍ سَبَقَ فِي عِلْمِهِ سُبْحَانَكَ مِلْاَ مَا اَحْصَى كِتَابُكَ سُبْحَانَكَ زِنَةَ عَرْشِكَ سُبْحَانَكَ سُبْحَانَكَ سُبْحَانَكَ .

Translation:

Glory be to Him Who is aware of what hearts and minds strive to obtain! Glory be to Him Who knows the exact count of the sins! Glory be to Him from whose view nothing in the heavens and the earths is concealed! Glory be to the Loving Lord! Glory be to the Unique and Single! Glory be to the Greatest and Great! Glory be to Him Who does not transgress against the inhabitants of his kingdom! Glory be to Him Who does not bring down any kind of punishment upon the inhabitants of the earth! Glory be to the Kind and Compassionate! Glory be to the Oft-Forgiving and Merciful! Glory be to the Omnipotent and All-magnanimous! Glory be to the Indulgent and Liberal! Glory be to the Discerning and Wise! Glory be to the Comprehending and All-Wise! Glory be to Allah at the time of Daybreak! Glory be to Allah at the time of sunset! Glory be to Allah in the zero hours of the departing night and in the twilight of the dawning day! To Him alone is the praise, might, greatness, and omnipotence with every breath and every twinkle of an eye, and every moment is already registered in His all embracing awareness. Glory be to You for the infinite range that covers Your Book! Glory be to You—Glory that is equal to the measure of Your Throne! Glory be to You! Glory be to You! Glory be to You!

Explanation / Details::

It is worth mentioning that scholars have confirmed that the intention (niyyah) of fasting should be preferably declared after the sahar meal. It is also permissible to intend fasting at any hour of the night. It is sufficient, for the achievement of intention, to intend to observe fasting the next day for the sake of Almighty Allah and to abstain from having or doing any of the things or acts that break the fasting. It is also highly recommended not to neglect the famous Salat al-Layl (Night Prayer) and not to neglect the night worship.
