Description: The Prophet (S) said, 'If it were not for the fact that it would inconvenience my community, I would have commanded them to brush their teeth before every prayer.’
رسولُ اللّٰهِِ (صَلَّيَ اللّٰهُ عَلَيهِ وَ آلِهِ): لَولا أن أشُقَّ علي اُمَّتي لأَمَرتُهُم بِالسِّواكِ مَع كُلِّ صلاةٍ.

Description: The Prophet (S) said in his advice to Imam Ali (a.s.), 'You must brush your teeth at every ablution.
رسولُ اللّٰهِ (صَلَّيَ اللّٰهُ عَلَيهِ وَ آلِهِ) ـ في وصيَّتِهِ لعليٍّ (عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ) ـ: علَيكَ بالسِّواكِ عِندَ كُلِّ وُضوءٍ.

Description: The Prophet (S) also said in his advice to Imam Ali (a.s.), 'O Ali, you must brush your teeth as frequently as possible, for verily a single prayer that you perform after having brushed your teeth is better than forty days worth of prayers performed without doing so.
رسولُ اللّٰهِ (صَلَّيَ اللّٰهُ عَلَيهِ وَ آلِهِ) ـ أيضا ـ: يا عليُّ ، علَيكَ بالسِّواكِ ، وإن استَطَعتَ أن لا تُقِلَّ مِنهُ فافعَلْ ، فإنَّ كُلَّ صلاةٍ تُصَلِّيها بالسِّواكِ تَفضُلُ علي التي تُصَلِّيها بغَيرِ سِواكٍ أربَعينَ يَوماً.

Description: The Prophet (S) said, 'Ablution is a main part of faith, and brushing one's teeth is a main part of ablution.

Description: Imam al-Sadiq (a.s.) said, 'There are twelve distinctive features to brushing one's teeth: it is a recommended prophetic practice, it purifies one's mouth, brightens one's eyesight, pleases the Beneficent Lord, whitens the teeth, does away with wretchedness, strengthens one's gums, whets one's appetite for food, takes away phlegm, improves one's memory, multiplies one's rewards for good deeds, and gives pleasure to the angels.’
