Haste

Description: The Prophet (S) said, ‘Verily haste has ruined people, and if instead people proceeded with caution no one would be ruined.’

رسولُ اللّٰهِ‏ِ (صَلَّيَ اللّٰهُ عَلَيهِ وَ آلِهِ): إنَّما أهلَكَ النّاسَ العَجَلَةُ، ولَو أنَّ النّاسَ تَثَبَّتوا لَم يَهلِكْ أحَدٌ.

Description: The Prophet (S) said, ‘Deliberateness is from Allah whereas haste is from Satan.’

رسولُ اللّٰهِ (صَلَّيَ اللّٰهُ عَلَيهِ وَ آلِهِ): الأناةُ مِنَ اللّه‏ِ، والعَجَلَةُ مِنَ الشَّيطانِ.

Description: Imam Ali (a.s.) said, ‘Haste causes stumbling.’

الإمامُ عليٌّ (عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ): العَجَلُ يوجِبُ العِثارَ .

Description: Imam al-Sadiq (a.s.) said, ‘Wholesome results follow cautious procedure whereas regret follows haste.’

الإمامُ الصّادقُ (عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ): مَـعَ التَّثَبُّتِ تَكـونُ السَّلامَةُ، ومَعَ العَجَلَةِ تَكونُ النَّدامَةُ .

Description: The Prophet (S) said, ‘Verily Allah loves the good that is embarked upon immediately.’

رسولُ اللّٰهِ‏ِ (صَلَّيَ اللّٰهُ عَلَيهِ وَ آلِهِ): إنَّ اللّه‏َ يُحِبُّ مِنَ الخَيرِ ما يُعَجَّلُ.

Description: Imam Ali (a.s.) said, ‘Deliberateness is recommended in everything except when embarking on opportunities for good-doing.’

الإمامُ عليٌّ (عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ): التُّؤَدَةُ مَمدوحَةٌ في كُلِّ شَيءٍ إلّا في فُرَصِ الخَيرِ.

Description: Imam al-Sadiq (a.s.) narrated, ‘My father used to say, ‘When you think of doing something good, rush to do it immediately for verily you do not know what could happen later [to prevent you from doing it].’

الإمامُ الصّادقُ (عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ): كانَ أبي يَقولُ: إذا هَمَمتَ بِخَيرٍ فبادِرْ؛ فإنَّكَ لا تَدري ما يَحدُثُ.
